Scammers- avoid completely

They called saying that they were following up from a call last year and that they can offer signficant cost savings. I asked them about my current setup and what these savings were but they could not answer, saying they need to come in and check. Total scam- I never spoke to them before and I've got one printer in my home office.

Avoid this company like the plague

This company has got such a bad reputation that they have since changed their trading name to Espria! Do not be fooled by this name change. They are brilliant at selling you items that will hamper your business and destroy your cashflow. They will provide you with blank sheets to sign and tell you it is to confirm that the machines have been changed/upgraded. You will then find out months later that it was a new contract for an extra 60 months at a significantly higher price that what you originally agreed.
Their dishonesty is shocking and their misselling techniques are both scrupulous and unethical. Their contracts are designed to be impossible to escape from. I was naïve when dealing with them and it was a harsh lesson l had to learn. Signing with this company was one of the worst mistakes I have made in business.
Our analysis has shown that we have spent over £60,000 to lease 3 machines that would have cost us £10,000 to acquire. Trust me when I say that servicing such machines would not have cost us £10,000 a year!
My advice is to avoid this company at all cost.
Save your business and work with ethical service providers. They give a bad name to this industry. Please do not make the same mistake that I did.

Requires zero stars

Whether they’ve rebranded themselves Espria or not, I would describe Mode Print Solutions an absolute disgrace in my experience, with business practices that are in my opinion, dishonest. Any ‘crook’ / ‘scam’ descriptions given by other reviewers below would be accurate in my opinion.

….they sold to us a 5 years contract signed by an employee of our company that did not understand this ludicrous contract with many fine lines …. A photo copy machine that over this 5 years costs us £30.000…

Worst company in the UK

They changed the name and rebrand as ESPRIA now because the review here is so bad. I totally agree with other people who claim this company as scammer. From my experience, sales rep lied about the price and didn't make clear about the contract term and i was stuck in 5 yrs contract. There was no even break option. Stay away from this company.

There should be a zero star option for…

There should be a zero star option for this company. On a print contract that is now working about more than 3 times more expensive than previous. I fell for the sales rep spill only to be hit by lots of hidden charges in the small print. Keeps advising will look at. Can’t wait till the contract ends. Kicking my self that I signed upto this company.

The absolute worst printing company in the
UK. We are currently locked into a contract for 5 years. The Ricoh printer provided is so awful we had to pay for cartridges despite paying over £500 each month in the end we just purchased our own printer and toners. We are stuck paying the contract off even though we have not used any items of theirs for years. Customer service is appalling.

If I could give NO stars I could.

Do not go near this company. They tricked us into a contract and would not allow us to dissolve it despite losing our office due to the pandemic. It cost us a fortune at a very difficult time.

MODE Print Solutions - RIP OFF £50 surcharge!!

We were assured that the pricing structure was in keeping with that of our previous supplier but subsequently found it clearly isn't. Now we are advised that there is a £50 charge for payment made that is not made by Direct Debit. Pay using online banking and they charge you and extra £50!!!!! This condition is hidden in the minuscule print of the agreement. If this had been drawn to our attention we would not have signed. Feel this has been a bit of a RIP OFF!

Terrible

Terrible, completely overpriced got another large (Xerox C8055) copier from another provider who paid off the ridiculous cancellation fee Mode imposed on us for their awful Ricoh photocopier and I'm still paying £300 less a quarter.

To say the least a bunch of complete crooks!

Poor business practices

We tried Mode because they claimed to offer great service and equipment at a lower cost. However, their equipment kept having problems and their service was slow and rather grumpy. In the end, we decided we no longer wanted to keep the equipment (after a 3.5 years) but they then informed us that we were tied to an agreement for a further year that was to be billed at an increased rate. Their sales practices are rather dubious. The clause that hit us was buried somewhere in the T&Cs in very very fine print. We offered a fair settlement but they threatened to take us to court. Not a good company to work with.

Fantastic Service

Having had a our new print solution installed today, we could not be more pleased with the product and service delivered. Joshua, our Account Manager, has been more than happy to help every step of the way and has answered any questions we may have had without hesitation or delay. Chris, the Engineer that visited our office was brilliant, he installed all relevant software and provided training on the new printer that was both second to none and incredibly informative. Both individuals were well-presented, incredibly polite and an absolute pleasure to work with and we look forward to working alongside Mode for many years to come.

Terrible service

One of the worst experiences I have ever had. The printer they supplied to us has never worked properly forcing us to pay for other solutions. They fob you off on the phone and when they do send a technician, they can't do the job. The contracts are really long and they won't let us out despite the fact that we've never had a working printer.

Update - In response, we have only started receiving any interest in our problems since I posted this review - requiring me to take over an hour of calls from mode, one being just about how you can change this review. Your technician told us that our printer had been set up badly, and it has been set up by you. He also said he couldn't do the job he was sent to do and no one came to replace him. We asked to leave our contract, especially over COVID while we were charged full price and weren't able to use the printer but were forced to pay full price. I was then informed that we would have had better service had your staff not been on furlough all year and therefore unable to help. I was also told that the way to solve my 3 years of problems would be to pay Mode more money. We have wasted so much money we could have bought several printers which would be my advice to anyone else. We've never had IT / Printer problems before we sign up with Mode.

We are disappointed to read your review because we feel that it is unjustified. The problems you have experienced are as a result of your own IT infrastructure which is not something for which Mode are responsible. A workaround has been offered to you. A problem you had with printing A3 images was caused by your having set the A3 paper tray to print labels and was quickly rectified by us and appropriate training provided. We have always tried to be responsive to any issues that you have had, but have often found it difficult to reach you and our calls have not returned. Mode prides itself on customer service and I can assure you that we will do everything we can to be of service to you.
