We signed two purchase agreements with Mododomus for three modular homes and paid the company a total of €148,000.
One unit was initially delivered, but it had serious defects and was returned to the company. Mododomus did not subsequently deliver that unit or either of the other two contracted homes. As a result, despite paying €148,000, we currently have none of the three units we purchased.
Our communications regarding the contracts, production and delivery involved Mododomus director Maksym Ahafonov, Dmitry Kulykhin, who was responsible for the construction and production of the homes, and Oleg Stepenev, who was our primary operational contact and the person who met with us in connection with the project.
At the end of 2024, we requested production schedules, milestones and clear delivery timelines from Dmitry Kulykhin. Our messages were initially ignored. When we raised this issue, he stated that the projects were still at a “preparatory stage” and that drawings were still being developed. No concrete production schedule or delivery timeline was subsequently provided. His Mododomus email address also stopped working in March 2026.
Oleg Stepenev was our main operational contact and was involved in project coordination and communication with us. Despite repeated attempts to obtain clear information about the status of our projects and delivery timelines, we were unable to obtain a satisfactory resolution.
Despite repeated attempts to communicate and resolve the matter, we have not received a satisfactory response or resolution from Maksym Ahafonov, Dmitry Kulykhin or Oleg Stepenev.
Mododomus has also taken its official website offline. The company continues to retain our payment while no homes have been delivered to us and the contractual issues remain unresolved.
We hold signed contracts, proof of payment, correspondence, photographs and documentation concerning the defective unit and its return. We can provide this evidence if Trustpilot requests verification.
We strongly warn prospective customers to exercise extreme caution, conduct extensive due diligence and avoid making substantial advance payments without effective security and enforceable delivery protections.
We will update this review if Mododomus, Maksym Ahafonov resume communication, deliver the contracted units or refund the outstanding payment.
