Quotation was very competitive and the cheque received promptly.

Only disappointment was the wine voucher for Virgin Wines was rejected as being out of date!!

They find any way to get out of paying the full amount!!!

After having my iPhone 5 for 9 months, I upgraded to a HTC. My iPhone had a couple of cosmetic scratches on the back but everything was fully functional and working. Before sending my phone off to Money4UrMobile, I went round to several retailers (EE, Vodafone and o2) to see what they would offer. After looking at the phone the highest I was quoted was £182 by EE. CEX also offered me £171 after testing the phone.

Money4UrMobile came up top online, offering me £196, so I posted my phone off. As I was going to Lithuania in several days, I sent the phone Guaranteed Special Delivery before 1pm, as they will only transfer the money same day if received before 1pm.

They received the phone early in the morning, and shortly I received an email. The email stated that due to a broken screen, they would only offer me £49.99 and not £196 like they initially quoted. I quickly emailed back stating this was incorrect and the phone was in perfect condition when I sent it. I asked them to return the phone to me so I could claim compensation from Royal Mail, if the screen was indeed broken.

They quickly responded with an email saying the screen wasn't actually broken, but that they had 'graded' the phone. "For this particular test the device is turned to a white background and each pixel is examined to determine that there has been no deterioration of the quality, this particular assessment has shown your item has clusters of Pixels that have lost their clarity/sharpness resulting in the 80% Reduction."

"As our grading is blanketed and Shading damage is slight deterioration of the quality that would not be visible on a coloured background so you may not have been aware of this as not many people uses their devices on a white background."

Of course I quickly queried this with them, quoting the terms and conditions which state the device has to be 'fully functional' and in 'working condition', and that I had never noticed any problems with the pixels. I also questioned how this could have happened 'over time' as I had only had the phone for 9 months.

I then had a reply saying they would be happy to offer me £120 for the phone. I said no thank you and what a waste of my time (and postage money).

Only positive, quick email responses.

Super fast transaction!!

I enquired about recycling my phone on the Thursday, by Friday I had received the free postage packet to send my phone back in, I sent my phone out on the Saturday (i chose to add 'signed for' delivery), Then on Monday I had an email and text to say my phone had been received and by that evening the funds had been transferred to my bank account... May I add that the funds were what I was quoted!

I have read some good & bad reviews but I can honestly say that the whole processed was so easy and fast and the transaction from start to finish was excellent! Very impressed!!

Do not send your phone to these con artists!

I sent my phone to these people & after waiting a few weeks I had to email asking where my cheque was.
When they finally replied via email it was to tell me that the price had been reduced as they had found visible cosmetic damage &the volume button wasn't working.
This phone was hardly used & never had a mark on it. There was also nothing wrong with the volume button.
I emailed them to let them know how unhappy I was but they just emaile me back saying the phone was damaged & their offer stood.
Please don't send your phone to these con artists as you will regret it as I &so many others have found to our cost

Read the reviews before choosing this company.

Like many below me I didn't read the reviews here before choosing this company. They quoted £180.00 for a HTC one X where other companies where only offering around the £160.00 mark. I sent off the phone (they advised free post however I paid extra for recorded delivery) After 3 days they emailed and text me saying they'd received the phone and where going to offer me £157.00 - They didn't say why this wasn't as much as originally quoted it was just that there sending this amount and to contact them if I weren't happy.

I emailed them asking why they where £23.00 short and got NO REPLY.

I am happy with £157.00 as this was around about the same as other companies but the way in which they show a higher value is wrong and should not be allowed. I would gladly take a refund and send my phone elsewhere just because of the cheek of this company.

AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE

I tried to recycle 2 phones with them after a week of not hearing from them I sent an e-mail asking where they were upto with making payment to me. I got no response after a month I got 2 texts one for each phone saying the valuation had been downgrade because they had found damage gto the phones and asking me to read my e-mails. I read my e-mails when I got home and it said they had been downgraded due to cosmetic damage. The phones were in immaculate condition when I sent them. These people are liars and scammers avoid them like the plague. They are not to be trusted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Impossible to get maximum price!

I sent in an iPhone 4 which had been kept in a full case with screen protectors since new. No second hand phone could have been in better condition.
I took loads of photos before I sent the item (with a professional DSLR) and double wrapped the phone in bubble wrap as a precaution against damage caused at their end.
Their automated response was to take 10% off for "visbile cosmetic damage".
After testing in a lab, they claim to have found a 'few light scratches' which could not have been photgraphed, "no matter how good the camera".
The injustice of this is that we all choose which company to use with a price comparison tool. If you can't trust the price it spits out, we are all at risk of being conned!
