Express Junk Removal 

The movers we had were hard-working and courteous, but a failure to give an accurate quote on the size of our move meant that on the day they were faced with a bigger job than they anticipated. This made them stressed, which added to our stress. The situation left us feeling like it wasn't as slick and professional as we would have hoped. However, they got us moved in the end and were very hard working.

Due to messing about further down the chain, once a moving day was agreed, we had limited choice of removals companies available. Movers Direct were pleasant and helpful throughout the initial contacts and quotes. But they were appalling from start to finish in terms of moving day. They caused both distress and damage and wouldn't admit liability despite photos and evidence. I am taking them to the small claims court to recover my losses.

Well they did it again! Only this time quicker and were as helpful as ever. We had SO many delays and Nicola was always polite and accommodating, despite the vagaries of our situation she found us a date at quite short notice. On move day the chaps were punctual and super efficient, they had our stuff loaded and unpacked in less than half a day. I cannot say how thankful we are for their contribution to the smooth finale to our complicated move. We are home at last and it's because of Movers! Local removal heroes - thank you and we would heartily recommend.

Movers Direct were excellent from initial enquiry through to the actual move- replies were swift, the movers arrived on time on moving day and packed very quickly, and all of my possessions were moved from one second floor flat to another (neither of which had a lift) without issue. The two movers were also very friendly.

My family used this company to move house, apon the goods being returned we were very upset and annoyed to find so much of our property to be damaged. My toolbox which i worked very hard to be able to afford was dented. And then drive was damaged badly. They then had the audacity to blame me for not pointing out the drive way slope. My opinion on this company is to avoid at all costs. It’s not worth risking your goods in the hand of this company.

I am writing this as a last resort to stop anyone else using this company based on my experience - I will of course leave it entirely upto yourselves to decide whether to use or not
Upto the point of the initial quote and removal to storage of my goods the process went smooth
Then when my goods were delivered it broke my heart as items were scratched, settee's ripped, items dented (photo's sent to company) and the best piece was when they tried to reverse the van with the dropdown onto the drive and ripped into the resin drive
Photo's and details then sent and they advised that a review would take place (read T&C's carefully as you have 7 days to provide original receipts or a quote for the repair) - then suddenly a legal representative introduces himself (still trying to validate his identifty) and after a review its all my fault for lack of packing even though some of the items had blue paint imbedded in then from the storage facility and the drive is down to us as well but they will provide a bottle of resin for me to repair and a £25 allowance as a good will gesture for the rip in the settee - I could go on but I think this gives you the general idea and as I said before this is my experience and has left a very bad taste - YOUR DECISION IF YOU WANT TO RISK IT

This is our second time using Movers direct and we couldn't recommend them highly enough.
We gave them very little notice and required a fast move over Xmas and they very kindly fit it in even though it fell over a bank holiday- we were very grateful.
The service from start to finish was brilliant, the staff are extremely efficient, professional and very friendly.
This wasn't an easy move as it was from a higher level flat, but our belongings were moved smoothly with great care.
