MPB online is well worth visiting if…

MPB online is well worth visiting if you are buying gear or selling unused gear. The process is handled very well , I would highly recommended MPB to anyone that has a doubt about how it works. I've had several transactions with MPB and found the process to be so easy if you are buying or selling even trading gear.

Shady business

Ordered an item on 4/4/2026, MPB said it's shipped on 4/6/2026. I went on a business trip for a month, come back to see the item has not been delivered. Reached out to MPB, they said there was an escalation raised on 4/13/2026, and should have refunded me. They didn't. They only refunded me as I confronted their customer service.

Great selection of gear

Great selection of gear. Just be mindful of the free shipping taking much longer than expected. It took 11 days for my purchase to be delivered. I paid for shipping the following purchase and it arrived in 4 days.

Fantastic company

Fantastic company, offered me a price for my lens, expected them to get back with a lower offer but they were true to their word and gave me the full price.
Would definitely use mpb again it was so easy and they paid me straight away.

Very terrible coordination of…

Very terrible coordination of collecting my shipment. DHL and MPB do not coordinate well in terms of shipping my stuff to them and it has been 2 working days and no one collected my stuff.

Very unprofessional team and lack of proper plannning.

Very Honest Company

When they got my equipment they messaged me back and said it was worth more than what I was originally quoted, so they gave me more money! Very honest company!

I've purchased used gear from and sold used gear to MPB

I've purchased used gear from MPB - a Canon M200 mirrorless camera with a couple of lenses, a Macro Tamron lens, and a couple of other lenses as well. And when I purchased a new set of Nikon lenses brand new, I sold my older lenses to MPB. Both buying from MPB and selling to MPB were easy and quick experiences. On the selling end, I did sell a large telephoto lens - a Sigma 500mm Nikon F/4 lens. And I did have to box it up and send it. But that wasn't too bad and I got a really great rate from them in payment. Loved selling to and buying from them - highly recommend.

Smooth, straight forward experience.

My experience was pretty straight forward and smooth. I told them all my equipment, they gave me a pretty decent quote for it. I took it all to fedex and had them do the packing (that was 25 dollars). MPB received it (I could track it also through frdex) and they adjusted my quote and gave me more money for the camera bag I included as well as a nice lens cap I had. I hesitated at payout because it’s straight to bank through routing number. But they didn’t have other options so I went ahead with it but I received payment less than a week after. So it was all pretty smooth for me.

Great company, super service.

Have just completed my sixth trade with MPB, to my utmost satisfaction.The staff are friendly, helpful and knowlegable and the process simple. They have always been fair with me over prices and have twice increased their valuation over initial quotes. I had a query on my last deal which was quickly resolved by my contact Sam in a kindly efficient way.
I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Do NOT do business with them

Do NOT do business with them, or at least not to sell your gear.
I went with them in the first place because they offered the most money for my equipment, so that was great! Everything went downhill from there.
It says in the quote if you provide xyz you’ll get more money. Such as camera straps, which I provided. I had also included a camera bag and SD cards as extras (my mistake). When given the quote to buy my gear, none of the extras were mentioned. I immediately sent a message about it and was told a request would be put in and that I’d hear back by the end of day… did not hear back. Had to message again the next day to be told they wouldn’t be purchasing any of the extras and asked if I wanted it returned …..? Obviously if you aren’t buying it then send it back to me.
During this whole process, it took the following day to get any answers and I had to be the one to message them every time.
When I finally received my *first* package back, the camera case and SD cards, they weren’t even my original SD cards. Also didn’t include my camera straps or last card back.
THEN when I FINALLY receive those items back, it wasn’t even the correct neck straps either!!
So if you sell to them and there’s a possibility of gear being sent back to you, GOODLUCK! It likely won’t be your actual, pristine gear that you sent in the first place.
And being paid took over a week and constantly checking in to see how long it would take. So, seller beware.

Easy, fair, quick.

Asked for a quote and received it very quickly. It was acceptable bearing in mind it was the actual amount of money I would receive. No fee's payable. No postage to pay. Equipment is picked up and insured by MPB and their couriers. Once the equipment was checked by them I received an amended quotation. The price offered had actually gone up as they said it was in better condition than i stated. Very fair and this wasn't a one off I have sold to MPB before and the same thing has happened. I would definitely give them a try. Recommended.

Beware when selling photography gear to…

Beware when selling photography gear to MPB.

Once MPB have your stuff, they'll invent FALSE IMAGINARY MADE UP reasons to reduce the initial online quote. They'll then ignore emails until AFTER the reduced quote has been accepted.

Go to Wex Photo Video instead.

Don't say you wasn't warned.
