Dhe best service?

Hello ? Miles Tool and machinery is a great tool parts supplier.
There customer service is brilliant. When I have ordered parts if there in stock they ship promptly and they arrive quickly. When parts are not in stock they email you with the estimated date of receiving from the manufacturer. Always good to be informed of the status.

Top notch service

Called searching for a part that was on back order with Dewalt. The chap I spoke to was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to help me, he spoke with the parts department and they managed to find a used non stock item that they sold me at a reduced price, Really helped me out and saved me waiting for the part to come in stock with Dewalt. Absolutely top service and it arrived the next day on Saturday.

Bloody brilliant service

Bloody brilliant service - Hikoki cordless replacement torch bulbs arrived safe and sound - about a week from initial order. I’ve searched high and low from builders merchants , cycle repair shops , traditional hardware shops , the range and Screwfix - all told me i’de probably end up having to replace whole torch and that they are disposable!
Well Miles Tool & Machinery had them and I now have illuminated torch - good as new! Thank you - I am thrilled - so frustrated being told by various trades merchants that a torch bulb isn’t available !

Avoid them they are not correct in most…

Avoid them they are not correct in most cases they sell tools that are not available and when you start looking for information about delivery they hide they do not respond to emails and calls. I asked for a full refund they promised me the next day to return my money it has already been two days

Avoid This Company

I ordered tools from their website, the delivery information says 3-7 business days, I waited for those days to pass and I still have no delivery information, I wrote them an email but they didn't reply what was happening with my delivery, I called them to find out more about delivery, they told me they would contact me within minutes, but no one contacted me

Fantastic company

Fantastic company, I called the call centre as I needed a part for my Makita saw, The call handler was very knowledgeable and helpful, They identified the part I needed and I placed the order over the phone and then the part arrived 4 days later, absolutely amazing, I would happily recommend them to anyone, They were helpful, polite and knowledgeable

Placed 2 orders end of July and items were not showing as out of stock, but still haven't received the items. Despite many phone calls and emails keep getting told they'll be with us soon. Delay after delay which is very disappointing. Money taken straight away despite items obviously not being in stock which is not right. Won't be ordering with this company again!

Absolutely abysmal service

Absolutely abysmal service, don’t even bother emailing them, phoning them is just as bad ‘due in today’ ‘it will be with you by end of week’
Just phoned and requested refund which will supposedly be tomorrow but I’m not holding my breath

Absolutely appalling level of service

Absolutely appalling level of service. Placed an order 11th March for an item which their website said they had in stock. When I chased a delivery date two weeks later, it transpired they had to order it from Germany. I have had to chase them 11 times and called several times as well. Every time I have had the response "10-14 days. Sorry.
Not once have they contacted me with an update, or called when they said they would. I have had to chase them throughout the process.
This has gone on so long, I have had to send the customer our training unit. I have had to refund the customer and purchase a different model of grinder to use for training. (That by the way was provided and delivered by Electro (South West) Ltd, within three days. Excellent customer service. They have since followed up unprompted to ensure that I am satisfied with the product)
I finally gave up yesterday and asked for a refund from Miles Tool and Machinery.
They emailed me back. This was their email and "apology"

"Thank you for your email,
As requested I have cancelled this order and have issued a full refund. I apologise for any inconvenience caused,
Best regards
MTMC Sales"

No Dear Sir, no name.

At no point has a manager ever bothered to contact me. I have the entire mail trail if a manager would actually like to get in touch in order to carry out some staff training.

Utterly hopeless.

I would certainly not recommend them, or use them again.

Terrible Service

Ordered and paid for a spare lawn mower part in April. Its now August and no spare part , no refund and despite numerous emails no communication. Avoid this company.

Dreadful service

Ordered a single cap for my lawnmower on the 1st July. Received it today 28th July. Emailed twice no response. Rang twice.1st time promised a response. Didn’t get one. Second time blamed a delay importing it ( no prior warning at website)
Promised posting on the 22nd.
£6.10 to wait almost a month for a 10mm cap!
Avoid at all costs

Blown Capacitor in B&D Drill

Having recently popped a capacitor in an old but good quality drill I looked around for a new one and found Miles Tools in Yeovil.

Speaking with several members of the team it became clear that parts were scarce but Peter, who said that he would look to see if he could source a suitable replacement capacitor. This he did after a little time and for just over a fiver including the postage.

The drill now has a new lease of life and hopefully good for another decade at least and it stays out of the landfill.
