On the make [Caveat emptor] - Like going back in time with a mechanic who suckers you in with low price and chances his arm increasing once he has your pride and joy in bits ! Sill replacement advertised a hundreds quickly escalates to thousands, swans around your motor looking for something to add into the rapidly increasing list. Agreed to two rear sills / two arch sections and front wing for £2.5k which felt steep but trusted. I nervously handed the car over and asked for a set of photo's of the work done, so that if I sell I can show the work done. Sure enough couple of weeks passed and phone call with sharp intake of breath now we are in the sills we need to do much more, no option but to roll with [sinking feeling]. Two rear sill sections / rear arch sections and front wing later, fair play the photos on his phone showed he'd done a fair job from what I could see but for £4k felt bit steep. Still waiting for the photo's to be sent so I have a copy, gave up asking, put the whole episode down to expensive experience.
