Unacceptable service – 13 weeks and still no refund!
It has been 13 weeks since I purchased a car from this dealership, and I still have not received my refund. This is despite the fact that the finance company fully resolved the complaint process in my favour. The dealer is currently holding both the car and my money. I have tried contacting them multiple times to resolve this. However, the employee I spoke with claims they are not authorised to provide any information, and the company completely refuses to contact me. This is entirely unprofessional and unacceptable. Avoid this dealership!

Great sales pitch, atrocious aftersales... Ignored complaints, forced add-ons, and total disregard for UK law
I bought a Tesla Model 3 Performance from Mylson Limited in May 2026, and initially, everything seemed great. There was zero sales pressure, and I was given complete freedom to inspect the vehicle and take it for a proper test drive.
However, during the buying process, they tried to force me into purchasing an optional warranty and service package, falsely claiming that "every dealer does this." Do not fall for this shady malpractice!
Unfortunately, the real trouble started post-purchase. A fault with the driver’s heated seat emerged shortly after buying the car, an issue not immediately apparent during the test drive or to be fair, the PDI inspection. Additionally, the paint repairs they carried out on the vehicle were shockingly poor quality, looking as though a child had done them.
When I contacted Mylson to report the issue with seat, they ignored me entirely. I was left with no choice but to get it repaired by Tesla themselves and it took the issuing of a formal court claim just to get a response.
When they finally engaged, they denied all accountability, claiming that electrical faults simply aren't covered, an absurd stance to take when selling an EV that is essentially a computer on wheels.
To make matters worse, they insisted that their internal terms and conditions somehow trump statutory UK consumer law.
It is deeply disappointing to see a dealership act friendly right up until the money changes hands, only to ignore the customer and disregard basic consumer rights when problems arise.
Save yourself the massive headache, avoid Mylson Limited and buy elsewhere.
AVOID!
I purchased a Mercedes A180d from Mylson Stoke and shortly afterwards discovered serious issues that had not been disclosed, including an AdBlue delete/remap, previous accident damage and faulty front radar sensors.
The vehicle was assessed by a Mercedes specialist and deemed unsafe, and I was advised that the modifications meant the vehicle was not road legal and should never have been sold in that condition.
The handling of my part-exchange vehicle was equally concerning. I was given £2,750 for it and was told it was “in pieces”. However, the vehicle had actually passed an MOT the day before, and I later saw it advertised on the dealership’s website for £7,000. Despite asking for my vehicle back, I never received it back as part of the unwind and instead only received the agreed part-exchange value.
When I raised my concerns, I was told the matter had been passed to their legal team and that I could be waiting 12–16 weeks for it to be resolved. I found this completely unacceptable, particularly given the seriousness of the issues with the vehicle.
I also spent weeks going back and forth with Citizens Advice and Trading Standards to try and resolve the matter.
The complaints team were extremely disappointing throughout the process, and I found dealing with them frustrating and unhelpful.
That said, Ben eventually stepped in and got the matter resolved, so I do want to give him credit and thank him for finally sorting things out.
What should have been an exciting car purchase turned into weeks of stress and frustration. The dealership eventually accepted my rejection and agreed to unwind the transaction and refund my deposit, but only after considerable back-and-forth.
Based on my experience, I would strongly advise anyone considering buying from Mylson Stoke to carry out thorough independent checks before handing over any money. I certainly wouldn’t buy from them again.

Brilliant customer service!
I’m pretty fussy when it comes to cars & these guys delivered more than I expected. Requested extras to be carried out, de-chrome, tints, full valet the lot. The turn around was so quick & the work was to such a high standard!
I couldn’t be more happier, thanks again for everything you’ll definitely be seeing me again.

NEVER BUY A CAR FROM THIS GARAGE.This…
NEVER BUY A CAR FROM THIS GARAGE.This is the most unscrupulous dealer you will ever meet.My young grandson already had a Mercedes’ but an older model which was immaculate and excellent service history but he wanted a newer model and he had been saving hard to get one. He saw one on this garages website and even though he lived 150miles away was interested in buying it.He did everything by the book getting details, photos and all the relevant service history. It allooked in order so he drove up to buy it.The guy was very friendly yes he did play darts with him and was very pleasant to deal with He only offered him 2,000 pounds for his as he said he couldn’t resell it cos of the high mileage which was agreed upon. On the way home a light kept coming on on the dashboard so he took it straight to the local Mercedes’ garage to have it checked..When the mechanic opened the bonnet he was horrified and phoned the police immediately. They had cut the Ad.blue which made the car illegal to drive the MOT was forged and it has been in an accident which was not on the paperwork anywhere. The warranty that he had been given was apparently worthless as the garage is not answering emails phone calls or texts. Also they have got my grandson car on their Manchester forecourt for 9000pounds now. The police Vespa and trading standards are now involved but that doesn’t help as he has lost his money and his car. Please don’t let anyone else be taken in by him and I am surprised. Auto trader is allowing him to sell through them in reply to the reply you put on this site the car was bought in stoke and you do have the car in Manchester because you sent a neighbour details of it so no more lies please
In reply to your question the car you say you don’t have is regWU64SWW but you sent out details off for 7000pounds sorry not 9 as I stated before the car that was sold to him has now been collected by your Stoke branch and his deposit refunded to him thank you but you still have not paid him for his car that you are selling so this is now in the hands of trading standards and the police as it is effectively a stolen car

Avoid
Sold me a car that's been riddled with problems straight of the jump, I'd seriously think about finding somewhere else before buying from them.
They fake there reviews buy having people play darts for a good review in the hopes of free fuel
Really Great service from start to finish
Really Great service throughout well looked after and supported throughout the purchase, great vehicle great condition and great price, staff very very helpful, Buzz , Tom, and other (sorry do not know his name), waited later for us to turn up from London, could not have asked for a better service, and highly recommended by myself, friendly and a great experience overall , many thanks everyone .
2017 GLC
Went up to view the 2017 GLC they had for sale, looked lovely took it for a test drive and seemed perfect. Can’t really knock the approach from the dealer at the time really friendly and zero pressure. Paid the 18k and part exd my car, quick and easy. Fast forward 45 minutes heading on to the m6 for it to lose power and stop struggling to get onto the hard shoulder, with the engine not turning over. Rang up said someone would get it on the truck to take it back luckily not too far as I was driving back to Birmingham. 1 to 2 hours go by and driver comes and takes it back to mylson, to be told my old car was no longer there so gave me a ropey golf to drive back while they would look at it over the next couple of days. Monday comes say it’s a fault with the ECU, fine it’s a used car I’ll give them the benifit of the doubt. Wednesday they say it’s all sorted but could they have Thursday to give it a test drive and drop it down Friday midday, sound no worries. Thursday comes Ian messages about there being a rip on the passenger seat could they get it sorted over the weekend I said no I need the car Friday so I will get it sorted myself fully knowing he was trying to gain time because the car was still faulty no worries he says Friday it will be there. Friday comes and not one word after I messaged and rang, to be told at 2pm that the fuel rail was damaged and I could have my money back the following Monday with my old car now sold so was left with zero car after they took there courtesy car back. Do you not check these cars properly I’m confused? Or just let your customers know what’s properly going on with out all the lies. Nothing but head ache off this place so if you are buying make sure you drive the thing properly
I am absolutely devastated with my…
I am absolutely devastated with my experience purchasing a car from this company. I paid £14,000 cash for what I believed was a reliable, low mileage vehicle, and just over a year later the car has completely broken down to the point it may need writing off.
I specifically chose this car because I was assured it was a good, dependable vehicle that would last me a long time. I worked hard and saved up for a long time to afford it, so to now be left in this position is incredibly upsetting and stressful.
I feel completely let down by the quality of the car and the experience overall. Based on what has happened, I personally would advise others to think very carefully before purchasing a vehicle from this company.
Above and Beyond Service – Even Stayed Late to Help Us Drive Away Same Day!
I had an excellent experience with Mylson and especially Tom, who looked after us from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, everything felt relaxed and professional — no pressure at all, which made a big difference compared to other places.
I initially went in on Saturday to look at a silver-blue Mercedes, but the colour didn’t quite appeal to me in person. When I got home, I checked their website and found a black Mercedes that I really liked. I messaged Tom on Sunday, explained my situation with work (I’m only free on weekends), and asked if it would be possible to part exchange and drive away the same day.
Even though Tom was due to finish at 1pm, he went out of his way to make it happen. We arrived just before closing time, and despite being on his own with other customers there, he stayed calm, professional, and kept apologising for the wait — even though there was absolutely no need. I actually told him to take his time because he was already going above and beyond.
What really stood out was how genuine and friendly he was. My 4-year-old son took a real liking to him and hasn’t stopped talking about him since, and my wife also mentioned how helpful and approachable he was. That says a lot.
I part-exchanged my Kia and drove away in my new Mercedes the same day, all thanks to Tom’s effort and flexibility. On top of that, I realised after leaving that I had forgotten to bring the spare key for my part exchange. Tom was very understanding and even offered to meet me halfway or allow me to post it when convenient, which I’ve now done. That level of trust and flexibility really stood out.
I’m genuinely very happy with the whole experience and would highly recommend Mylson to anyone looking for a car. Great service, great people, and no pushy sales tactics — just how it should be.
