I actually bought a VPN from mysterium VPN and it happens that it worked perfectly well on my phone but not on my PC then I reach out to them for refund within the next 24 hours there replied and processed it Nice one.
Avoid MysteriumVPN at all costs! This company engages in deceptive billing practices, ignores explicit customer cancellation orders, and employs support agents who actively lie and gaslit customers.
Here are the facts of how they stole my money via third-party penalty fees:
1. THE LIE (May 12): I explicitly requested the cancellation of ALL auto-renewals for any account linked to my Visa card Support agent "Davilijus" confirmed to me multiple times in writing that auto-renewal was successfully disabled for all 5 associated accounts.
2. THE FRAUD (June 12): Despite their written guarantee, Mysterium Network bypassed the cancellation. On June 12 at 16:54, their automated system hit my card with an unauthorized charge attempt of $13.49 Because of this illegal ping, my bank penalized me with a consecutive $0.50 decline fee.
3. THE STONEWALLING & GHOSTING: When I confronted support with the clear Transaction ID, Agent Davilijus engaged in absolute malpractice. He claimed "everything was done correctly," refused to investigate the gateway logs using the Transaction ID, and absurdly demanded that I provide the internal merchant account email—something that is technically impossible to extract from a raw bank statement. When I demanded escalation to a supervisor, he refused and closed the ticket, ghosting a valid financial grievance.
This company lacks basic billing integrity and data security compliance. If you value your financial data and peace of mind, DO NOT give them your card details. They will keep pinging your card even after you cancel, and their support team will cover up the errors instead of fixing them.
Absolute technical incompetence and terrible customer service. Avoid!
I'm giving it one star because I can't give it less. I purchased this VPN, and after 10 days I didn't even have to throw away my entire month's subscription because their system detected something I never did. I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND BUYING THIS VPN. The support is absolutely unprofessional. If you buy this VPN, you're wasting your money and then you won't even have it anymore. CONGRATULATIONS.
The mail on my profile was changed to a nee one I request in a very short period of time, I feared I would loose a year subscription but support said we got yah
I give one star only because it’s not possible to give zero.
They deducted money from my account via PayPal without me purchasing anything.
I contacted customer support and they’re almost mocking me. They don’t mention refunds and don’t even provide information about the subscription/service that I supposedly purchased.
This is practically theft.
Be careful: never buy or renew anything with them again.
bad support, it was not possible to cancel subscription .. I had to write 4 times, and they do not want to return money for payment
I ordered the VPN on 3/192026. On 3/22/2026, the app logged me out, and I couldn't log back in to the app or their website.
terrible costumer service. stopped working randomly. Gives me a bs error code about commercial use when i’m the only one who uses the service and lets me know support will be me in 3 HOURS.
The worst vpn ever the support is very bad i am getting an error wich i have gotten many times before and they told me to wait 30 days and i still need to pay for next month too
Do NOT buy this VPN. It's a complete scam. I bought a $15 subscription and got banned for "unfair use" within 4 days. When I asked for a refund they refused it. The VPN itself sucks as well. The speeds are very slow 10-30 mbps and the app is incredibly limited and doesn't always refresh the IP when you reconnect.
Mysteriumvpn was so slow for me before and made me quit.. After a while I decided to come back and their speed was so much better for gaming now.. No delay or lag what so ever.. Great job
Hello there,
I am just reviewing MysteriumVPN, even though they don't respond to any negative reviews.
Basically the service promises to offer something different from other VPN providers which is "Residential IP's", which is a unique feature for the most part and everything seems fair before you subscribe, they give you a 7-day refund policy and all, so you can test out the service.
In-fact, however, they have predatory practices in their ToS to block you out of the VPN and they also won't offer you a partial or full refund, even if you don't get to use the full service.
Such as for example:
If you consume way too much traffic, which doesn't have to be too much, I'd say less than 1TB to 1TB, they will block your account and call you a violator.
If you end up up renewing your IP, a few times, their automated system will flag you, even though it's a feature. You'll notice some of the residential IP's won't match the city/region you're choosing, so you renew it and eventually they find grounds to suspend you.
If you want to try it, I do not suggest doing one or two years, just subscribe for a month and give it a shot, so you don't end up losing more money, than you end up losing with 1 month, if you end up doing that and get your access restricted, I am not sure if they allow PayPal but dispute with either them or your card provider/bank (Visa/Mastercard), don't let them scam you.
Everything is way too pretty until they end up blocking you for no reason or don't provide you certain things that are promised before you subscribe.
and yeah, they likely won't respond to this, considering the last reply to them after fairly complaining naturally and respectfully was "Have a great day" and not really being helped by their support as in someone named "Davilijus" if that's even his real name.
I purchased a monthly plan with a 7-day trial, but after only 3 days it was clear this VPN does not work as advertised. Many servers were either not working at all or the speed was extremely slow, making the service unusable.
I contacted support within the trial period to cancel and request a refund, but it has now been over 10 days with no response at all. This is unacceptable and shows a complete lack of customer support.
If a company offers a trial, they should honor it and respond to refund requests. Based on my experience, do not trust this VPN. I would not recommend it to anyone.
Got an Error 7040 ten days after buying a 2year plan. I contacted support and they told me I had to wait the "next 30 days cycle" to review my case.
I'm still banned for not following TOS and they won't refund my money. I'm not sure what triggered the ban, didn't download heavy files or automate anything, just a regular use.
SCAM ALERT
Heads up: MysteriumVPN is trash—don't waste your cash!
Rating: 1/5 Stars (I'd give it zero if I could)
I'm writing this to warn you: Stay away from MysteriumVPN. I paid for a long-term deal expecting a cool decentralized residential proxy thing, but it was a total rip-off. Here's why it's a scam:
1. Super Slow
The speed is awful. They say it's fast, but it's basically unusable. I get less than 10 Mbps, making streaming, downloading, or even browsing a pain.
2. Fake Residential IPs
They brag about having residential IPs. Nope! When I checked, the so-called Residential IP was just a Data Center IP. They're selling cheap server IPs at top dollar.
3. Shady Subscription Stuff
Good luck canceling. They hide the cancel button and make it hard to stop paying.
4. Error 7040 and Stolen Money
This is the worst. I tried switching to another server and got Error Code 7040. Then, my account got banned.
I had a whole year left on my sub. Support wouldn't lift the ban or give me a refund. They stole a year's worth of money because I tried to switch servers.
Basically:
MysteriumVPN sucks, lies about IPs, and bans you for no reason to steal your money. Don't use it. There are better VPNs out there—this isn't one of them.
Good Stuff: Nothing.
Bad Stuff:Speeds under 10 Mbps.
Fake residential IPs (Data Center IPs).
Impossible to cancel.
Random bans (Error 7040) when switching servers.
NO REFUNDS even if they ban you with a year left.
I subscribed to MysteriumVPN and asked for a refund within their 7-day money-back guarantee. I never received my money back.
Support kept asking questions and only afterwards told me that Apple must process the refund because I paid through the App Store. I tried Apple’s refund system, but it said I wasn’t eligible. Mysterium didn’t offer any direct help or alternative refund method, even though it’s their guarantee.
In the end, I followed their rules, requested my refund on time, but still ended up with no refund at all. Very poor customer experience.
A scam when you don't cancel and auto renew. They will not refund you but offer you a 2 year sub at 82% reduction.
Genuinely a good VPN don’t mind the negative comments I’ve been using them for 3 months now and I’m extremely satisfied with their services because they offer real Residential IPs. Also the support is very helpful and fast despite what I’ve been reading. Most recommended for freelancers
from using it
i had a 7040 error code which got fixed in a day
people complain about that jsut need to email
the issue is
i notced like every firday
half the residential ip
just vansish place like the usa was at 400 then drop to 48 and they arnt even residential ip
it work for gaming on thing that block asn like wiregarud and normaly know vpn asn
i would say if you neede a vpn just to by pass a ban this works but if very well not easy to use
