This is my second time completing sessions with Kate Robinson. I have found my EMDR sessions to be invaluable in processing past trauma and improving my quality of life. If I felt the need to have more sessions, Kate through MyTherapyAssistant would be my first choice.

An alternative and convenient source of therapy…

I was finding it difficult identifying a source of counselling/ therapy and was sign posted to mytherapyassistant.
By the time you recognise you need help you really want it sooner than later so the relatively quick onboarding process was much appreciated.
The service was great - they have a number of different therapists trained in different types of therapy and approaches.
I had some initial sessions to dissect the issues and where I was at before concluding/ agreeing on the best approach. It was an extremely flexible helpful supportive and enlightening process. And by doing it over their ‘zoom’ system more convenient and less time consuming.
I’ve already been recommending to others through word of mouth!

I have found My Therapy Assistant to be…

I have found My Therapy Assistant to be a really useful platform to have therapy. It is easy to use and has worked perfectly in all my sessions. Transitioning online from being in a room for therapy wasn't easy but it certainly has its advantages. Flexibility around a very busy schedule being one. I have found that my sessions have helped me to heal and grow as a person slowly but surely, as with all change it takes time. I am far better off than when I started. The phrase "It gets easier" use to send me into a subtle rage. Annoyingly, they were right.

I think therapy is like any relationship in your life, it has ups and downs, confusing parts, parts where you feel like giving up, times where it feels like you are back where you started and others when you realise how much you've progressed. It can also be an incredible support that keeps you going and finds ways to pull you out of a hole. I've had moments where without I'm not sure how I would have weathered.

The healing process is a difficult one. You have to really believe in a process and with the right therapist guiding you, you will be able to do the work necessary to heal. Carry the understanding that you are human, same as anyone, and it takes time to change our patterns of thought and behaviour but it is possible.

The best thing you can do for yourself is not to visualise the end point of your journey, but rather be ready for a journey. Long or short, rough or smooth, it's worth taking just be patient with yourself.

It's hard to start therapy but its worth it and My Therapy Assistant is as good as any place to start. Take the first step. "It gets easier..."

Would recommend

I had a really good experience with my therapist using my therapy assistant. I have been able to overcome many fears and worries and feel more confident in myself. The platform is easier to use than others and I have enjoyed the flexibility of online sessions.

Invaluable help with anxiety

Dr. Kate Robinson has helped me greatly in several occasions when I was experiencing different levels of anxiety.

Every time I have been amazed at her capacity for gently bringing my perspective back into place, gradually dissipating the anxiety until I could not even remember why was I anxious in the first place.
