Don’t pay your access until you check fuel!

Don’t pay your access until you check your fuel when they return the car! Twice twice this has happened to us second time currently being investigated. Once by the Bradford branch and now by the Leeds branch! They took our car which was still roadworthy for repair with over a quarter tank of fuel and returned it (after their driver promised they would put fuel in because they were using it for pick up and delivery) nearly empty with fuel light on! Bloody disgraceful !!

Hounded by accounts department

Given one star as the car was repaired well. However 6 months down the line I received a letter saying they would take legal action against me as I hadn’t paid the bill, after several phone calls saying I had paid. The excess was paid on collection of the courtesy car and drop of my own car. Basically the accounts department lost the invoice then threatened me with legal action when I had already paid. NOT HAPPY.

Replacement of car boot was the…

Replacement of car boot was the scheduled work, what could possibly go wrong?

To start with, it took 2 weeks for this work to be completed, at which point my car was driven back to me and delivered back to my house. As soon as I started driving it I heard a rattle, so clearly the drivers had heard it too.

The reason for the rattle was that the lock hadn't had the bolts tightened and when I opened the boot to see what was wrong, the bolt fell out and nearly hit me on the head. The 2nd bolt holding the unit in was also very loose, if I had carried on driving and then opened the boot, the whole unit would have fallen off.

The car went in again, had the bolts tightened and brought back but how is it possible to get a replacement of a car boot so wrong?

I would give this a zero stars if it were possible, I will never use them again and I would actively tell others not to use them either.

Why collect a car when you can't start work on it?

My car was broken into through the drivers door window, causing slight scratches to the drivers door. My insurance company allocated the work to Nationwide Repairs, Leeds who collected my car on Tuesday afternoon but won't even assess it until Thursday! How useless is that? Why collect a car if you can't start on it the following day? Was hoping I would have the car back by the weekend, but that is not looking likely now!

I suffered an experience with a bollard in Tescos, Filey whilst on holiday. I was put in touch with the branch at Eastfield, Scarborough. They assured me that they could do a repair whilst I was on holiday. It was scheduled to take 5 days. Much to my surprise, the work was completed in 3 days.
The end result is excellent and the way they assisted me with their friendly professionalism was exceptional. Well Done all at Scarborough

Back with an update.

Back with an update.

HENDON BRANCH.

5 months later.. I still do not have my vehicle, my car has been with them since 4th April.. I will try to keep it breif this time.. however they have caused so much issues that it will be difficult.
Week after week they have told me I will have my car back.. anytime I ask for an estimated date.. their never able to give one. It’s always “by next week, but it’s a very big job” no it is NOT a very big job, my car was hit front rear side not tipped on it’s head in a truck collision nor was it written off. I’m no mechanic but I know it does not take 5 months + to fix this. Every single time I call the branch they do not pick up the fone.. every single time I have to call head office with them telling me they are going to contact every manager under the sun to give me a call.. however this never happens.
At this point I had enough of the excuses and went down to the branch.. 30 MIN DRIVE out of my own time due to them not answering the fone for 2 days.
I get their.. the manager fobs me off asks one of the staff to deal with me and show me my car.. my car is a brand new Mercedes.. and came in brand new with 0 scratches.. apart from the damage of course, from the accident.. my car was an absolute state.. the front of the car was not put together scratched across the bumper.. scratches on the door.. dirty.. they do not look after the cars whilst in their possession.. yet again they tell me they are STILL “awaiting parts” I’ve honestly had enough of them and more then likely I will cancel my insurance with the insurance providers as they are not pulling their weight to chase up the repair centre and actually find out what is going on. I repeat do NOT allow ur insurance to use these ppl they don’t know what their doing and will cause u stress.

Shocking

My car was sent here by my insurance company to be repaired after a lady hit me.. they only did half of the work and decided the dent on the door she did could of been from something else even though the other driver admitted to doing it... I would never take my car back here again... poor customer service and it’s nice to know they can determine things like this even though they wasn’t in the accident... shocking !!!! Do not use this garage

Excuses after Excuses! Worst garage ever!

If your insurance company wants to send you to this garage refuse!!! All you will get from them is excuse after excuse for their incompetence! Nationwide (Just Car Clinic) in Hinckley took 2 months and 3 delivery attempts to get the car back to me and it’s still not right! The worst garage I’ve ever had the misfortune to deal with. I have tried to keep this review brief, but the garage created so many issues that it has been impossible to do so.
1. This garage obviously has no sense of time. When the car first went to them I was told that an evaluator to look at it “as soon as possible.” It then took them a further 10 days and daily phone calls for them to even look at the car. Meanwhile I was left without a car and having to beg lifts from people just to get to work.

2. They will lie to you at every opportunity. I was told that they were struggling to get the correct parts in for my (extremely common) car. Fair enough if the parts aren’t available, which isn’t the garages fault. However, they then contacted me to say the part was in and my repairs were underway....a week later, with no contact from the garage, I called to be told that my part hadn’t come in at all and what’s worse, they had no idea when it would.

3. They do not take care to do work properly. When they actually did start repairing my car, they obviously didn’t think to take it apart properly, as I was then informed (after me chasing them) that a part that was meant to be reusable now wasn’t and surprise, surprise they couldn’t get hold of a replacement for that part either.

4. Seriously, their work is awful. 2 months after the car was delivered to them they finally told me it was ready to be returned. As you can imagine, I was quite excited to see my car again after so long. I was beyond disappointed when the car arrived. To begin with the paint was “passable” at best, definitely not to a professional standard and the bonnet was slightly wonky but I could let that pass. What I could not let pass was that it had the wrong parts fitted to the grill, the garage had sourced cheaper incorrect parts. But this wasn’t the worst part. When I got in the car to drive it away, the engine management light was on. This is a major fault warning light. How they can deliver a car back with it illuminated is beyond comprehension. But this didn’t only happen the once. After sending the car back to get “fixed” (again) and returned back to me a few days later with the correct parts this time…..But still with the engine management light illuminated. This is entirely unacceptable and honestly beyond a bit of a joke.

5. Management do not care for customer service in the slightest. Understandably after the car being returned with a major fault for a second time, I was rather angry. I requested to speak to the manager of the garage, Neil. It then took the delivery guys 3 different phone numbers to get hold of him. I would say he’s obviously a busy man but my previous comment regarding their lack of time management would suggest otherwise. When I finally did get hold of the illusive Neil he was far from apologetic! He was in fact quite rude to me, especially when I requested that the car be taken to an official dealership, a request that he refused. He then continued to repeat that “he had to defend himself” for the shoddy work his garage had carried out. This was absolutely ludicrous. Delivering a car with an engine fault not once, but twice, is surely indefensible in anybody’s opinion. All I got from him was excuse after excuse! Absolutely ridiculous service from a manager!

6. Not only do management not care, neither does head office! After such a horrific experience with this garage I made a complaint to Nationwide Repairs head office in the naive belief that this garage might just be a bad blip on what otherwise is a good company. I was very, very wrong. After being passed from pillar to post to make a complaint I was contacted after a week with the response from Nationwide themselves of “These things happen.” Not a response I took kindly too or was willing to accept. In fact I think coming back with the excuse “these things happen” is absolutely outrageous and is further proof that this company is incompetent at best and maybe even at worst negligent. A report has now been logged with my insurance company (Admiral) and hopefully further action will be taken to stop this happening to anybody else.

In short avoid Just Car Clinic in Hinckley at all costs! They will lie to you, never contact you, and cause you an obscene amount of stress! Which isn’t surprising when they are run by a company that believes that it is totally acceptable to deliver a car TWICE with a major fault that could have caused further damage to the car, myself or even other road users. But hey, “these things happen”.

wouldn’t take a matchbox car

Rude staff member who was “having a bad day” car repair was most proberly the worst I have seen from a big company here is a list of snags that I saw and a independent car repair garage with is local but had to go to nationwide as someone rear ended me.
No lacquer at bottom on bumper
Bits on paint work
Marks in the filler so could see sand paper scuffs
Arch’s had not been sprayed on new bumper
Every time I close the boot the light on number plate popped out
Dull finish on boot
Over- spray marks
Thick edges where tape had been
Paint sinking in to filler and looked poor

And when I rang to complain had a rude member of staff and would love to share the phone conversation on here is nationwide would allow it. Managers response was she was having a bad day as there had been lots of complaints maybe if the work was to a good quality there would not be.

Car came back blowing out lots of white smoke and shuddering. Had to get car terra cleaned and new diesel filter. I believe they must syfen fuel out of written off cars and use it to fill your tank to replace what they have used. They also charged my insurance company for parts which had definitely not been replaced. If your insurance company says to use these scammers just say no. I ignored the reviews and it has cost me. This was the Dumfries branch

They don’t deserve 1 star they deserve…

They don’t deserve 1 star they deserve 0.
This is the worst repair centre I have ever come across. HENDON BRANCH
They have had my car since 4th April and still have it now. Nearly 4 months later they gave me a dirty courtesy car that STUNK.
They are liars have always got a different exscuse as to why they still have my car.. sending me repetitive sms messages saying they are “awaiting parts” month after month. They NEVER pick up the fone and do this deliberately to the point that I have to call the area call centre and they STILL cannot get through to them. I then decided to make a complaint to my insurance company about this and they can’t ever get through to them either it’s a JOKE. How can it honestly take so long to fix a car that has front rear damage? It doesn’t their just sitting on their arses choosing to do the jobs when they feel like. I will never allow these people to touch my car ever again.. AVOID AT ALL COSTS if u ever want your car to see the light of day again!
I still await my vehicle to come back to me... and after reading these reviews I will be inspecting every single INCH of my car before I leave that garage as my car is a brand new 67 plate Mercedes with not a SINGLE scratch.
I will come back with an update

Avoid at all costs

Avoid at all costs, they are a bunch of cowboys and liars. Been lied too all the way through the repair of my car. Just had it delivered back to me with damage to the pain in the bonnet and a scratch across the brand new headlamp they fitted.

AVIOD LIKE THE PLAIGE

I will be informing my insurance company and let the deal with these cowboys.

It's been 3 months since this company…

It's been 3 months since this company took 3 months to repair my car. I made a serious complaint and so did my insurance company (RSA) I was told someone from complaints @ H.O. would be in contact with me.
As their H.O is less than a mile from me, they could have walked to me, even I could have done it, and I am disabled and cannot walk far, but with 3 months and lots of stops I could.
I am 73 and my car is a motability car. I think both Motability and RSA should take their business elsewhere!!
If I could have given them -10 I would have.

Muppetry

My mum was advised by #Directline to use their preferred supplier Nationwide Repairs. They keep changing the estimation date of when her car will be ready saying it's due to waiting for parts. If this is the case she should have been left with the car until the parts came. Directline are happy to keep fobbing customers off on their behalf not willing to concede that they have chosen a supplier that is not what most customers would want.
After reading other reviews on here now we are scared of the state the car may come back in.
My mum is nearly 70 yrs old and dealing with these clueless Muppets has been (and continues to be) very stressful for her.

DO NOT USE

The insurance company requested this company repair my car in the Canterbury Branch Chilham. It took 4 weeks to collect the car. The courtesy car was 5 star. Unfortunately after nearly 3 weeks my car came back with scratched and marks on brand new panels. The wing mirror cover wasn’t put back on properly either. So it went back to branch. The insurance company even sent an independent engineer to assess the work in which it was deemed unfit to return to customer. Another 2 and a half weeks later I met the engineer at branch to find one of the scratches was still there but faintly and my fuel cover wasn’t put back on properly to the point it would lock onto the latch. So after another 30 minute wait the car was finished. A couple of things to note! When the car was delivered back to me the first time it didn’t seem to have been checked or it was but they don’t care. Secondly I took photos as proof of the bad workmanship. Thirdly if it’s through insurance you can and should definitely request another auto body repairer.
