We’re pleased to hear that you were happy with the price and value of your purchase, although we completely understand your disappointment that delivery took 6 days.

Unfortunately, on this occasion the delay occurred within the DPD delivery network after the order had been processed for delivery. This was outside our direct control and was certainly not the delivery experience we expected for our customer.

We have since raised the matter directly with DPD, specifically regarding collection times and the timely progression of our parcels through their network, to help prevent similar delays affecting future orders.

We’re very pleased that despite the courier delay, you felt your purchase was worth the wait due to the considerable saving against the retail price.

Thank you for your review.

We accept that we were unable to fulfil this order within the expected timeframe and apologised for this. However, we feel the continued 1-star rating does not reflect the considerable efforts made to resolve the situation.

The original order confirmation showed a Canon RF 135mm lens. The customer subsequently advised us that the lens actually required was the Canon RF 24-70mm.

We immediately worked to find a solution. This included communicating outside normal office hours and throughout the weekend, involving our Shipping Manager, attempting to intercept the unwanted shipment and offering the more expensive RF 24-70mm at a substantial goodwill reduction.

Unfortunately, we could not guarantee delivery of the replacement within the customer's required timeframe. We therefore accepted the cancellation and refunded the full £1,794.

Regarding the refund timescale, our Accounts Team does not operate at weekends. The refund was processed when the office reopened and we provided confirmation of the successful refund transaction. The remaining time before the funds appeared in the customer's account was banking/payment processing time. The customer has confirmed receipt of the full refund.

The customer subsequently acknowledged our assistance outside normal working hours and advised us that the review would be amended following receipt of the refund. We are therefore disappointed that the rating remains at one star.

We accept responsibility when something doesn't go to plan. However, we also believe the way a business responds and puts matters right should form part of a fair assessment of its service.
