After finalising my purchase and having my card charged, I was contacted and asked to complete additional ID verification. This included providing a scan of my passport, a recent utility bill, and a selfie holding my ID. I found this extremely concerning, as these are precisely the documents commonly used for identity theft.

What makes this worse is that this requirement is not clearly disclosed in their FAQ under “Before You Order – What are some things I should know about before making an order?” Instead, it is buried further down the page under “Payment Options”, where they list option such as Paypal, Ebanx etc. Had this policy been clearly and transparently stated upfront, I would not have placed an order with this company.

The verification process itself took over a week, with unnecessary back-and-forth communication. Even after my ID was approved, my order was not shipped until I emailed them again several days later to follow up. I had paid extra for express shipping (3–7 days) as these items were intended as gifts, but due to the delays caused by their internal processes, paying for express shipping ended up being pointless.

To make matters worse, customer service suggested that I could bypass the ID verification process if I paid extra to split my order into multiple shipments. I found it unreasonable to be asked to spend more money simply to work around their own system.

It has now been two weeks since I placed my order using express shipping, and my package has only just been picked up by the courier—not even shipped yet.

Overall, this was a very frustrating experience. I would not recommend Nin-Nin Game to anyone who is uncomfortable with invasive ID verification practices or who values transparent policies and timely delivery. I only proceeded with this order because cancelling, waiting for a refund, and reordering elsewhere would have taken too long. In hindsight, I wish I had done exactly that.

very amazing website but what i got was a spider-man figure which came broke and they ignored me when i asked for a replacement

Avoid this store at all cost, they ask you biometric data after doing a purchase and the page don't warn you about this process, also they try to change shipping services to DHL the most expensive one

I have bought figures from other japanese stores, but Nin-Nin is the BEST one in my opinion. Great discounts, quick shipping, package is well protected with no damages, even if I am an international customer. This will be my only japanese shop from now on, I 100% suggest them, they are the best!

Easy process in ordering and their shipment arrived in pristine condition, which as an in box collector I really appreciate. They found a workaround with shipping and I'm just so stoked on my new mafex batman! Would definitely recommend buying from this shop! I also like how they keep you updated on your order.

Have placed a few orders with NinNin now and each has been amazing. No issues with them at all, Always well packed, arrive safe and undamaged, shipping is fast and I feel confident when pre ordering.

Thankfully not had any QC issues on Mafex figures I have bought yet so not sure how the return/Refund policy is so I can't give my thoughts on that.

I just have to hope they are agreeable and understand and its not any trouble to return figures if needed for replacements or refunds.
