Super Half Weekend Trip

Travelled with Nirvana to the Prague and Berlin half marathons in the same weekend. We booked our own flights but Nirvana handled the rest. Amazing service from start to finish. All transfers were seamless, both hotels excellent, staff so helpful and friendly whenever they saw us. Highly recommended. Looking forward to travelling with them again later this year.

Nirvana (and Steph!) saved the day.

I am an athlete who races triathlons, and reached out to Nirvana after making my own reservations and having it go wrong. (AirBnB host cancelled my reservation for no reason leaving me hanging late in the day.) Nirvana (and in particular Steph) were great. They were immediately responsive and had a range of options available for me right away. When things sold out in one venue they found and offered others. They were also sensitive to my specific needs (I have some food restrictions and need a place where I can cook,) I will happily recommend them, and use them myself, going forward.

Great North Run 2025

To be honest I don’t think I’d use Nirvana’s travel services again.. upon booking for the great north run I paid for 2x returns in full yet received multiple emails chasing payment threatening cancellation of my booking. I was in touch and was told my booking won’t be cancelled it was just an issue with the system and was an automated email. So to my surprise when I did get an email saying it was cancelled. I again got in touch and they said ignore it my booking isn’t cancelled…
Fast forward to a week beforehand still hasn’t had an email confirming collection times etc so I emailed chasing this (as I was concerned I wouldn’t get the email since I received the cancelled booking email). I randomly received an updated invoice confirming the balance was paid, but when I double checked it my name had been changed from “miss” to “mr” for no apparent reason, which was confusing why anyone would do that.. granted I asked for this to be changed and it was amended.
I finally got an email with timings for collections and to my disappointment the return time was 4:15pm. Baring in mind we were in the pink wave for the GNR so our estimated start time was 12pm onwards. We didn’t pass the start line until after 12:30 and didn’t finish until near 4pm. So by the time we’d collected our medals and finishers goody bags it was evident we were not catching the coach in time. A bit of a con paying for a return in full upon booking but not getting the timings until 5 days beforehand and figuring out the chances of us even catching the return home was so slim. Ended up £90 down for a taxi to get home so paid a return for no reason
Overall I found communication pretty shocking and I had high expectations considering AJ bell advertised Nirvana as the great north runs official travel company. Won’t use again, thank god we were relatively local and didn’t have to get elsewhere in the country or anything..

The automated payment emails were a system error, and your booking was never at risk. Regarding the return coach, timings must be set in advance due to strict road closures and traffic restrictions, which unfortunately meant later waves risked missing the service. We appreciate how disappointing this was after you had booked and paid for a return journey.

We will review our processes to improve communication and ensure runners have clearer information at the time of booking. We will reach out to you personally to discuss further.

European AG Triathlon - Istanbul

I attended the European AG Triathlon event in Istanbul. Having read about multiple concerns with local organisation but still very keen to do the event, I went with Nirvana to take the stress out of things. Once again they delivered. The whole travel logistics: booking flights/bike boxes/transfers/on the ground transportation to and from the event site were all done and dusted with barely a hitch, leaving me to focus on the event. The in-hotel bike team also sorted a bike issue through the pre race tune up service that was very much appreciated. It’s the reason you go with Nirvana and they delivered in style.

Fantastic service!

RE: Copenhagen Ironman 2025

Great communication through the booking process, to the event, and during our stay in Copenhagen. It was my first Ironman event and the team did everything to inform you and address any uncertainties. All the reps were very knowledgeable and friendly. The bike mechanics were incredible and very patient with fine tuning the bike set-up. I will definitely be accessing the premium package when I race again next year.

Great experience with Nirvana and would highly recommend them. Will be using them again next year. Worth the money for a stress free event.

Nirvana failed to honour booking, ruining our trip

On 17 Jan 25 we booked accommodation for the Age grade triathlon World Championship in Wollongong Australia. On 30 Jun 25 Nirvana informed us that there was a double booking and they could no longer honour our booking. They did offer us another similar type of accommodation but not in the location that we needed.
Although the Nirvana rep did initially imply that the "double booking" was the fault of the hotel I was able to confirm with the hotel that this was not the case. The Nirvana rep then refused to explain what the real reason was. I am sure it is just coincidence that a T100 event had just been announced as being tagged on the the event and Nirvana had just gone into some form of partnership with them.
As a result of the failure to honour our booking we felt forced to cancel our trip, a year in the planning, holiday of a lifetime, coinciding with our 40th wedding anniversary. Thanks Nirvana!
Nirvana's T&Cs state that for a accommodation only booking a contract would exist between the hotel and the customer at the point that the booking confirmation was issued. As Nirvana did not pass on our details to the hotel this did not happen.
We did expect Nirvana to compensate us for our costs incurred in accordance with their T&Cs as we considered this a major change to our booking (simply the flight cancellation fees and, possibly, the race entry fee - we did not expect compensation for the disappointment, stress etc). However, Nirvana are stating that they consider it a minor change and therefore they are not prepared to provide this relatively small compensation. As the rep is no longer responding to us, it would appear that we are going to have to resort to trying to make a claim through the small claims court.
"Stress-Free Sports Event Travel"? only if you are lucky.

Due to a system error, we unfortunately became overbooked at your original choice of accommodation (Adina). As soon as this became clear, we contacted you well ahead of the event and offered an alternative at the Mantra Hotel — a property of equivalent, if not higher, standard and still within 2.5km of the race venue. In several cases, guests accepted this option with no additional cost. We also extended your decision deadline in case a cancellation at the Adina became available.

When you ultimately decided to cancel, we made an exception and refunded your deposit in full, even though the deadline had passed. We understand you had already booked flights independently, but under our Terms & Conditions, we are unable to cover costs related to arrangements made outside of your Nirvana booking.

We do appreciate that this was an important trip for you and regret that we could not meet your specific location preference. Our aim is always to deliver a stress-free race experience, and we’re sorry this wasn’t the case on this occasion.

Your feedback is valuable, and we are reviewing our systems and processes to reduce the chance of similar issues arising in future.

The whole team were incredible at Leeds…

The whole team were incredible at Leeds Ironman. From transfers to & from transition and taking my bike back for me afterwards. Answered any questions and offered peace of mind so all I had to focus on was the race. Would highly recommend especially if it’s your first Ironman.

Brilliant Trip – Would Absolutely Use Again

I travelled with Nirvana for Ironman Austria and had a fantastic experience. Everything was really well organised, which meant I could focus entirely on the race without any added stress.

When my bike and luggage were delayed, the support I received was outstanding. The team went above and beyond to get everything sorted quickly and smoothly.

The mechanic service was also excellent - efficient, friendly, and incredibly helpful.

Overall, I couldn’t rate the experience more highly. I’ll definitely be travelling with Nirvana again for future events.

Not a great experience

Our experience not that great. Rep not there to meet us when we landed at Bilbo airport, although very pleasant turned up 30mins later. Stayed in team GB hotel so knew there was a company rep at the bike service area, so was able to get answers to our questions. Details kept changing but not communicated. Disorganised when transporting bikes to lake for start of race 45mins drive away. Coach transfer/ return ok. Only saw 2 x Nivarna reps when departing hotel for airport transfer home. Bike boxes loaded in ‘dodgy old van’ which followed our coach and subsequently broke down on motorway going to airport. My husband, another man in our group were transported by the Police and the coach driver to rescue said bike boxes. (Had to do 2 x journeys to recover all bikes) which added to our stress - were we going to miss our flight home? Fortunately we had google translate to understand what the coach driver was saying! No one in our group could get hold of the Nirvana Rep, they just left us stranded. Fortunately made it through customs in time for our return flight.
Nirvana staff very pleasant but lack good communications especially when things change. They need to be visual and accessible and need to tighten up their admin. That’s another storey! Spent a lot of money believing we would have peace of mind and support which was somewhat lacking! Doubt we would use again.

Professional, friendly and took care of every detail!

I was very impressed with the professionalism, attention to detail and friendliness of the entire Nirvana team during my Ironman. They really did go above and beyond to help me make sure my experience was seamless and focused on the race. I won’t be doing another Ironman without Nirvana! Thanks so much!

Excellent all round service from being…

Excellent all round service from being picked up fairly late in the day upon arrival to being taken back to the airport at a very early hour !
The bike mechanic team were extremely efficient unpacking and repacking the bikes and were on hand at all times if needed.
The team at the event were excellent and the whole trip very well organised and ran faultlessly !

The Nirvana team were available

The Nirvana team were available, present and relevant at all times during my visit to Rumia, Poland. They were so helpful, even when I got brain fog on racing day and could not find my helmet number stickers, and the mechanics were nice enough to pump my tyres up for me and give me mechanical advice. Travelling by myself, knowing Nirvana and Harvey were there to "hold my hand", helped me concentrate on my race and they were instrumental in helping me have my best competition ever.

Awesome service! ⭐️

Great all round service. 10/10
We were greeted immediately after getting our bags and taken to transfers which were already ready for us.
The coach was really comfortable and our bikes were also transported with ease.
The mechanics at the hotel were exceptionally helpful and it really did take the stress away from us for bike building, tune ups and disassembly.
Nirvana team were on hand throughout our trip and very helpful.
It allowed me to focus on my race rather than all these other potential stress points.

Superb Service!!!

My recent experience with Nirvana at a half Ironman event was superb. I had a bike build and pre race tune up organised, and Ella and Ivey went above and beyond which took the stress off the logistics of my race. They were also super supportive of my race, and easily contactable if I had any questions. Could not recommend Nirvana’s services enough. Will most definitely be using them again in the future.

Celtic away games in Champions league

Have used Nirvana europe 4 times this season to see Celtic games with a group of friends and have to say it has been good everytime (apart from results not all time tho)as well as many times over the last 5 or 6 years.

The easy booking process
Being kept in the loop and the staff on trips were excellant,accomadation was perfect
Would def use again and rest of group say the same..

An Amazing Experience

Such a fun experience in Taupo for the IM 70.3 World Championships and the rest of New Zealand and Helen with Nirvana made all the difference. Helen encouraged us to see the country in a campervan and she set us up perfectly. It was an amazing trip and I would definitely use Nirvana again.
