Worst rental company , be aware

This was the worst service I have ever experienced. I booked with Niza Car Rental in Barcelona and everything went wrong. They demanded to see my return flight information back to my country, which no other rental company has ever asked for. Even though I already had full insurance through Zest Car, they insisted I buy another policy. They also took photos of my passport and driving license, which felt unnecessary and uncomfortable. In the end, they cancelled my booking completely, leaving me stranded. Very unprofessional, extremely frustrating, and I would never recommend Niza to anyone.

Double charged me - Did not refund

I paid extra to travel out of Spain for a few days. When I returned the car they said there was something wrong with their system and they had to charge me again for going outside Spain. They said I need to contact customer service to get a refund.

I sent all the evidence of the double payment to customer service at Niza Cars, and the completely ignored me.

So I was double charged, lost over €80 for nothing.

Failed to pick us up at airport

Hired a car with these guys through Zest Car Rental. The worst pick up experience ever on 16th August 2025. Waited 45mins for their bus at Term 2C Barcelona. They never arrived. In the end asked a company that was next to Niza to give us a lift. Arrived at office and waited a further 45 mins to be served.

★☆☆☆☆ Nizacars Malaga

★☆☆☆☆ Nizacars Malaga – A Masterclass in Theft and Deception
If you're looking for a company that will charge you for damage that doesn’t exist, look no further than Nizacars at Malaga Airport. We returned the car in perfect condition — but hey, why not throw in a mysterious "damage charge" for fun?
Here’s the best part: zero photographic evidence was provided to support their claim. Just an arbitrary charge with no proof to back it up. When we asked for clarity, their response was slower than molasses, and their conclusion was as predictable as it was ridiculous: “You did it. Pay up.”
The fact that they think it's acceptable to scam customers with zero evidence is truly something to behold. They don’t even bother to pretend to care. A simple “show us the proof” seems like too much to ask from a company that’s built on ripping people off.
Save yourself the trouble and go anywhere else. Unless, of course, you enjoy being charged for nothing.

Nizacars malaga airport, great experience.

Used nizacars at Malaga airport from 2/8 to 12/8. Was apprehensive after reading reviews but was worried about nothing. On arrival car was ready. Was asked if i had insurance, which i did. No upselling pressure at all. Very friendly staff and amended my fuel policy from full to empty to full to full for free (unlike Delpasso) Emailed a copy of damage on record which I cross referenced on car before leaving. No hassle returning car, representative had a quick look and was happy. Would use again.

Scammy & Unprofessional

Scammy & Unprofessional – Avoid Niza Car Hire Malaga
Made me wait because I refused their overpriced insurance. No proper damage check at pick-up, then “found” a scratch under the car on return and charged me €500 with no proof or receipt. Dishonest and stressful. Stay away!

Where do I start… I purchased a hire…

Where do I start… I purchased a hire car through Zest great company really easy to use and navigate. I opted through zest for their top up Insurance so that I didn’t have to pay the rip of price that Nizacars would want. Any way we got to the dealer in Malaga and I said to them from the off that I did not need there insurance I was already covered with Zest. The sales bloke then proceeded to tell me that my insurance was invalid and it would not cover the car, I told him this was not true and showed him all the relevant documents. He then proceeded to tell me that I should take up insurance through them as because I am a tourist I am likely to have my car windows broken into because I am a not a local. The scare tactics used were absolutely appalling, and frankly it was bullying my partner was visibly upset that this person acted in this way. I think they think we don’t know that they get commission through selling their own insurance… Anyway once I told him that I still wasn’t interested he rudely said your car is over there see you later.. didn’t bother to walk around the car with me or show me anything on it.

On bringing the car back I again got terrible customer service I wanted to walk around the car with the bloke to make sure everything was fine with the car (which it was) but I was told to sit down like a child.. me and my partner laughed I think customer service is not a priority in Spain. After inspecting the car he proceeded to walk back in the office, I had to follow him in and ask if everything was okay with the car he rudely acknowledged then looked back at his computer screen. I look forward to reading the reply of the company from other reviews they don’t seem to acknowledge any problems raised by customers. If I could give them zero stars I would. Avoid and use someone else.

Told we had a brand new car therefore…

Told we had a brand new car therefore no need to inspect. Took representatives word. Drove out of garage and noticed 4000km on clock.
On return charged €379 for minimal scratch which may have been on car when we got it. They did not provide photos of car as they usually do. The scratch was so small I missed it when representative mentioned it on return. He also said it was so small it would not be fixed. I have emailed them 3 times no response. I have hired over 20 cars in the last 3 years and never had any problem with the hire companies. Last time I will use Nisa

Fraudulent company to avoid

Fraudulent. Do not use
Car was fine. 1 hour wait in line to get car. Usual hard upsell of insurance which we felt compelled to doc after the pushy rep explained overstated risks.
However, the main point is that they commitment fraud by holding onto the €300 deposit over a month after the hire. Once I complained about it via email they released it but never replied back to any communication. Such poor after service and just be cautious.
Would never use again or recommend

Do not use this company - Nizacars

Do not use this company. They fraudulently charge for chips as damage. Niza purposely charged for a stone chip less than 1mm in size as 'damage'. This is because I did not take out their own expensive insurance. However, no evidence of repair cost or proof of 'damage' was provided by Niza. Be aware they are frauds.

I always use Niza cars when visiting…

I always use Niza cars when visiting Malaga. My last rental was in June 2025 and I have just booked again for this September.
I was prompted to write this review after reading the very negative feedback from several customers which I found to be ridiculous. I think these people have booked through a third party. Always use the official site folks.
Always use the premium service so everything is covered and you will not be asked for any more payment on arrival, just a token amount on your credit card. Cars always clean, not old and in excellent condition

Don't trust this company

Don't trust this company.
We've reserved a car for 7 days and paid in advance. However, it is required to pay for the deposit at a desk with a credit card. This is the only option they allow — I went as far as proposing them 3000 euros of deposit in advance paid by a debit card or in cash but they refused. This is ridiculous, what's the difference if I give the money right away or you held the money on my credit card?

The only reason I can think of is that they want you to buy their premium insurance that would rise the total cost of rental for us for 200!!!!% and then you can pay for the deposit with a debit card.

Looks like a scam to get more money. They kept bullshitting me about credit card being more secure but how a credit card can be more secure for them than having real 3000 euros in cash in their pockets? My credit card can have a limit of 1000 euros or less, definitely less secure, but they didn't care about logic in this situation.

Now I see that it'd probably be even worse to trust them with such a large deposit so I think I got lucky that I only lost my paid in advance rental.

Worst hiring service i have ever experienced!

I am very disappointed with Nizacars. We booked their car through Economybooking.com and we loved the price. To our great surprise on arrival on the 26th of May, everything changed on picking the vehicle. Prices changed, deposit amounts changed and the agent who served us completely rejected the authenticity of Economybooking.com that we had used. As if that that was enough of surprises, upto this day our €300.00 deposit has not been paid back despite the fact that we returned their car with no damage at all. I have been trying to call but no one answers. We are left with no option now except to chargeback through the bank. I will not recommend them at all!

BE CAREFUL

BE CAREFUL! very unhelpful staff and service, we had booked full insurance with check24 for two cars, the colleague did not recognise the second insurance even though I showed her the confirmation as she wanted to charge us extra for insurance. Both cars were on the same name. The colleague refused to change the name and help us. She let us wait 2 hours in the heat and deal with check24. We were 9 people and it was an awful first experience coming to malaga. At the end we left the cars with no damages. Unfortunately I left the car key of one of the cars in my pocket and I have left the transfer service for my flight. Later I realised that and I ran back where the transfer service let us out and waited there. I have called the customer service for 45 minutes. I couldn’t wait any longer. as I was at my terminal I reached someone of the customer service and told him that I can’t come out but I can send the key by DHL as I arrive in Germany as the colleague confirmed that they have a spare key and there will be no charge. I have sent the key like discussed the next day by DHL and the key has arrived at malaga a week later as it took longer to spain. When I called to confirm that the key has arrived the colleague on the phone told me that the deposit of 300€ will not be returned!! I was shocked and I wrote an e-mail to Jose Maria Marquez and the only thing they had to offer is a discount code after taken 300€ from us!!! They just lost 9 customers where they would earn more then 300€ in the future if they did a good customer service. Please be careful booking here and look for another professional company that cost a bit more then loosing your money in many other ways with Nizacars and never getting it back.

Never use Niza cars!!

Booked via Easy Terra, always satisfied with them so didn't check the reviews of the company they chose. How wrong was I.... I reserved a car AT the airport and although the office was very close it was with a shuttle! After the usual pressure to get an extra insurance the agent offered me an upgrade twice the price wich I refused again. Then she offered an upgrade of only 15 euros (very clever) wich I fell for. I thought the clutch was a bitt stiff but thats often the case with rentals so I went along. Suddenly the clutch didn't move anymore at all. Very scary!! It took a while and a lot off stress when it finally got in to second gear and I could sort of drive again. This happened twice. I was in tears on the very busy Spanish highway. Called Niza I was welcome to come over and change the car. I came to the office they took the key, looked at me like now what? So I again explained the story again. No apology, no are you okay.?? no this never happens etc etc. Nothing!! I was completely done with this company and didn't trust the other cars anymore so I politely asked for a refund. A rude not possible was the only reply before he walked away.... Wow ... never ever Niza Cars again!!! Ofcourse I also wrote an email to Easy Terra but their reply time for complaints is 8-12 weeks .... I have been renting a car 3 or 4 times a year for many years and its always a surprise what happens but this was absolutely beyond any curtesy.

Car scam company NIZACARS

Scammers not professional, not welcoming costumer, that was awful! They ripped me off, forcing a €400 insurance policy on me, unprofessional they give you pice of papier and strat to give you number from no where.and if you give them the deposit as many people said in the reviews they will acuse you with scratch take as much as they want . The car was a wreck—cracked, bulging tires, uneven wear—and needed service after just 300km! They wouldn't help when i said the car is not in good condition. I booked full petrol, got half a tank, the contract said 6/8, and they still charged me €30 extra! Stay away from this scammers

Terrible Experience...please avoid!

Terrible Experience...please avoid
I rented a car from NIZACARS AEROPUERTO DE BARCELONA outlet on 30th May’25. At the time of making the upgraded contract, I was informed that it covered full insurance by the company. I pre-paid the rental charges.
I returned the car on 02nd June’25 at the outlet. The car was thoroughly check by the outlet professional. There was a minor mud guard detachment which was cleared by the personnel. He agreed to levy charges only for the fuel difference which I agreed.
However, one day later I received an email from the personnel that I’ll be charges for “damages”. Apparently they had blocked certain amount on my card which was used for this. I was not provided any details of these “damages” and cost break-up for the same. The personnel asked me claim it through third party insurance. This was another shock. I was under the impression that insurance was covered by them as was agreed at the beginning of contract.
There’s no response from the customer service team on why I was charged the damage charges later, the details and cost break-up of damages or claim process for the charged amount.
I had clearly stated my language of preference as English still was given a contract which was in Espanol. All these points clearly highlight deceitfulness on part of them. In spite of having full insurance on their cars with insurance companies, they are illicitly fleecing customers for additional profits.
I would recommend to avoid their services OR be very careful of the above points when you take their services.
