Great product that actually solves a problem.
We've tried different combinations of tablets, phones, photo frames, none which has worked to stay in touch remotely with out grandma.
The Komp has a narrow use case, but is exactly what we needed, and importantly, she loves it.
Our Grandma loves the big and clear screen, that she gets to see photos of our daily life, and that we can easily call her with audio that works with her hearing aid. Quote "now I can stay in my home longer"

Hi, when my daughter found Komp for my mums no isolation experience, we were all so pleased, it was easy to set up and use. She loved being able to see us when chatting, and everyone added pictures of what they were doing so she felt included. She gave it the thumbs up and we all said 10 star rating. Our only regret was that we hadnt discovered it sooner!

Having the Komp has been of great benefit in talking with and seeing Mum.
It is simple to use with just the on/off switch.
It certainly makes her feel less isolated as she can chat and see the family daily.
Mum also enjoys seeing photographs which the family can easily upload.
It helps when she has visitors or professional callers as we can see who is with her.
The screen is large and clear enough that she can also show us correspondence and post and peace of mind that we can deal with it.

I cannot comment on the KOMP itself as we haven’t received it yet but we had a problem with the billing address and the delivery address ,which were different, being merged on the conformation email which would have meant it would never have reached my mum . However once this was pointed out to the no isolation support team they were absolutely brilliant and promptly got it sorted. Thank you Nina

Komp has made such a difference to my mum and I, because we live in different countries and my mum is quite deaf, communication was very frustrating and upsetting for us. Komp has completely changed this, mum can hear me much better and because of that and that we can see each other communication has now become a joy rather than a battle. It has also made visits from health professionals and trades people easier for my mum and them because I can help with the conversation which lessens mums anxiety. My mum has no technology knowledge so the fact that everything can be controlled by the App is perfect for us. The Komp service has made such a difference to my mother over the past 3 years, enabling her to keep in contact with all her family. Prior to discovering Komp, we'd tried to get her to use WhatsApp etc on laptops and tablets, but she always struggled with it. Komp is such a brilliantly simple idea for older people unused to, or unable to use, standard technology. On the few occasions we needed support, it was prompt and helpful.

Loved the Komp! We got it for my father. It was a joy to get all the pics from members of the family I'm not immediately connected with. Easy to set up, easy to use - just one on / off / volume button. Sadly, this proved too much for my father! He would switch it off and not switch it back on (you can set times for it to come on and off). Didn't work for him, though we loved the concept and the Komp team. V efficient. I miss seeing everyone's pics! Maybe I'll get one for myself soon!

My family have used KOMP now for a couple of months. We are a distributed family with members living in Australia, the USA and the UK. The ability to easily connect to Mother, who is 87 and still very active and capable but finds technology increasingly difficult, via no touch video is enabling us to increase meaningful contact. My Mother appreciates all the photos being shared on a regular basis. I can see this being an increasingly critical communications tool as her age progresses.

Komp is expensive and comes with poor technology. The app is extremely bad and slow in many ways. All family members can see all pictures that everybody else sends to grandma, which basically results in people not wanting to share as many pictures. If you want access to send private messages you will have to pay more. She is not able to respond to messages nor to call family members. When we call her, there is no way for her to chose if she wants to pick up or not, the Komp just starts the call automatically with live recording from her living room, even when she’s not at home. After a couple of months she is so tired of it, she has almost stopped using it. Would never buy it again.

Made communication so much easier and much richer than just phoning my elderly mother, who lives on her own and is not technically minded. Now that we no longer need it, the process for returning the kit and cancelling the subscription was quick and easy.
What a Kon - Komp adds app subscriptions
Komp has put basic app functionality, such as multiple photo uploads, behind a paywall. They're trying to charge EVERY family member with an individual subscription to do the basic things with the app. I recognise that hardware firms can't just make a good product these days but instead live or die by convincing people to sign up for a subscription (even Apple do this). However, the way Komp has chosen to do it, with basic functions requiring a subscription is simply way too greedy.

The Komp portal was an amazing resource for mum and her family, particularly during lockdown as she was in a care home. It is simple to set up and use and a great comfort to us all that we could ‘pop in’ any time and say hi. And throughout the day mum had a slideshow of favourite pics to keep her feeling connected. As she suffered from Alzheimer’s Komp was ideal because she did not have to do anything to log in etc. it was all done from our end. Totally recommended by all the family.

I’d driven 200 miles to give this to my Mum for her 96th birthday. I’d set it up, invited all her loved ones and loaded it with photo’s and messages beforehand. However, at my Mum’s I couldn’t get it to work using the 4G. I contacted the help team in desperation and they were brilliant…within an hour it was fully operational. My Mum loves it, getting calls from her grandchildren will be the icing on the cake. Thank you Lizette from support team!

Komp was invaluable to all of us in looking after this elderly person. He took to it very quickly and found it easy to use despite having advanced dementia (10 years post diagnosis). As his short term memory deteriorated profoundly, we found the messaging option particularly useful for reminders of things happening on that day, as long as we remembered to remove the message at the end of the day! We had a couple of tech glitches and the unit had eventually to be replaced - throughout this, support both in England and Norway was first class and I don't think they could have done better. Thank you for a fantastic idea and a well-made, well-supported product.

A great product for someone in the earlier stages of dementia. It gave us huge peace of mind and enabled a large family to share photos with my mum. Customer service was very helpful when we needed it, which wasn't often as the Komp worked well

Sadly, my Mother is unable, mentally, to cope with any new input or mechanism so Ive has to return the Komp.
I will say it was a brilliant idea and when I first set it up she was happy but she has some coping mechanism problems.
