Amazing staff!!!…

Every single person involved in my care was incredible. The staff are there as soon as you ask for them.
When you are told that something is going to happen-it does!

Good trainers and friendly reception staff the Ilford Gym

I joined the Nuffield gym in Ilford Essex in November last year and have been trained by ' 'T' Birring since January 2026.
'T' has been very encouraging and motivational for me - and I have never trained before at a Gym. I have no hesitation in recommending ' T' as a personal trainer to anyone.
The Ilford gym also has a decent sauna and steam room.

Bionic Man - Hip replacement

I entered hospital on Sunday with a chronic hip problem and left 30 hours later as the bionic man with a new hip ! Operation was a complete success. Communication and care was excellent from start to finish . I felt as though everyone cared and I was in good hands . Staff were excellent . Consultant top drawer .

one stop breast clinic at the…

Went to one stop breast clinic at the Nuffield in Tettenhall and was so quick ! Seen consultant straight to mammogram and ultrasound and back to consultation all within the hour ! Very reassuring and talked me through everything ! Came out with peace of mind that everything was ok ! Very friendly staff ! No hidden costs ! Definitely recommend

Woeful accounts and complaints I have been undergoing cancer treatment…

I have been undergoing cancer treatment via Nuffield Health since 2017 - i have had no end of problems with their accounts team. They have taken ‘multiple’ times my insurance excesses from my ‘on file’ payment card previously so I asked them to delete it off the system and had to wait 10 working days for a refund to my account and after making many calls to them and my bank to even get that. Every time I go in (which is a lot!) I get asked for a card for file again and I have to re explain why every time I’m not willing to do that; as someone with stage 4 cancer who no longer works I cannot afford to be beholden to their poor accounts team and processes.

I have a small outstanding balance apparently from 2022 which was shortfalled by my health insurance ‘apparently’; I asked the accounts team many times for an actual invoice which never came and was given brief details for years which made no sense as didn’t tie up with treatment and the dates they referred to. My treatment over the last 9 years and profit they’ve made will be many tens of thousands! Bearing in mind my diagnosis being chased and threatened with debt collectors as a vulnerable customer is pretty awful process! I have contacted their ‘customer relations’ team 3 times via email (and get the acknowledgement emails each time!) to make a formal complaint and never had so much as an reply after the initial acknowledgement! Eventually in March 2025 they came back with details of what the outstanding amount was for - a completely different treatment date and treatment to what had been suggested. That may well be true, or it may not but as I don’t work for the employer from back in 2022 anymore I do not have access to the ‘online portal’ for that policy period to see what was and wasn’t paid. So I have no proof of debt and no invoice still. I was given the option of making a complaint if I still was unhappy which I did AGAIN and forwarded to their ‘customer relations’ team email as was provided to me and copied the accounts team in. And 12 months later, surprise surprise still no response to the complaint whatsoever and instead I now have a debt collector chasing me… a stage 4 cancer patient, a vulnerable person, who they haven’t been as kind as to even acknowledge! Beyond unacceptable, no empathy, no compassion and no integrity. I will be contacting ISCAS and transferring to a different institution for my ongoing treatment ASAP.

In summary they have no complaints process and woeful accounts!

Nuffield Gym has been fantastic since I…

Nuffield Gym has been fantastic since I joined. After a terrible experience at another gym, Nuffield has genuinely exceeded my expectations. The service is consistently good, the staff are polite, and the environment and equipment are kept very clean.
I have been going to gyms for over ten years and I tend to be very loyal. The only reason I previously left Nuffield was because I moved home. Now that I’ve discovered a Nuffield in the City, I’m delighted to be back training in a high‑quality gym.

Right from the start it’s professional

Right from the start with the consultation through the operation and in recovery the staff have been excellent
Mr Lingam the consultant took me through the procedure the outcome and rehabilitation has a great bedside manner the nurses were attentive nothing a problem third time use by my familly of using Nuffield Derby

Maintenance Issues



I would like to address a concern regarding the ongoing maintenance issues at the gym.

The sauna has been broken for more than two weeks now, and there has been no update. The last time it broke, it took more than ten weeks to be repaired.

Last week the pool was also out of service from Monday to Thursday, and the poolside shower has been freezing cold since last Friday. In addition, the steam room has broken down more than twice in the past few weeks.

Today I received a message saying that the steam room had been fixed. However, when I went to the gym specifically to use the steam room and pool, I checked with reception and was told that the maintenance guy had to fix it again.

I mainly come to the gym to use the pool Sauna and steam facilities, so it has been very frustrating that these services are frequently unavailable.

The main reason I still attend this gym is because it is only a five-minute walk from my house. I sincerely hope you will be able to find a more reliable maintenance contractor so these issues can be resolved more quickly in the future.

Zec Jacota an amazing trainer

Zec Jacota is an amazing Pilates, core conditioning and Legs, Bum and Tum trainer. She is inspirational and highly motivating, and she has helped me improve my overall fitness level.

She is professional, approachable, and always offers helpful advice and guidance to ensure I get the best out of my routines and poses.

The gym itself is great. The receptionists are always pleasant and welcoming, the equipment is good, and it’s located in a great area of St George’s Park, Wandsworth.

Terrible gym

Terrible gym. Similar standard facilities to council gyms but charge 60 a month. No concept of delivering value to customers and no interest in genuinely improving the equipment. Very sad for the poor staff.
