Luxury attention to detail!

Teleportation to relaxation
Firstly I am going to get the not so great things out of the way.
Parking not with the hotel but many spots to parking so close you would feel as if in a hotel car park.
Lastly depending on where you stay you might have a small set of stairs.
Now for the good stuff.
What a gem - hidden behind a nice but traditional Georgian (I think) exterior, in the middle of the busy town of Burnham Market is this amazing restaurant, bar and hotel.
On arrival too early to check in the staff took our luggage and kept it safe so we could unwind in the courtyard bar. Truly roomy and comfortable outside dinning area with large solid wooden furniture of a quality that doesn't snag your clothing and as a larger lady offers ease of use with generous size seats. Soft reggae music is playing and the outside kitchen is a hub of activity as it issues wonderful smells to tantalise your tastebuds. The whole courtyard is well thought out, from the ease of access to toilets, beautiful mature olive trees (that hide plenty of wasps traps) to the amusing array of old signs next to hand painted murals.
Rum ( a massive variety) is the predominant drink offer but they also cater for all cocktails and have a very large array of fine wines in stock. During our stay my husband also enjoyed a good cider. The waiting staff were numerous and very efficient. Nothing was too much trouble and they checked with us often to see if we wanted more drinks or food.
As modern day lepers (smokers) we were pleased to find we could smoke in the courtyard.
The food was delicious!!! We had seafood grill the first meal which was cooked to perfection, succulent and so very fresh. Later I had a Rib Eye steak in the restaurant. Which again was cooked to perfection and massive. The food its self has people coming from far and wide to eat (which is no surprise) but the rooms and garden is yet another hidden treat.
Leading off the courtyard are some stairs (or sloping path for those of use less able) which lead to a tranquil and lovingly planted garden. From roses to acanthus spinosos with places to rest along the way.
The courtyard also, had a special area for dogs which included a place to wash them down and put their waste. Each room had its own table and chairs outside to sit and enjoy the garden which wound its way up a slight incline. Each room has been named after a famous star such as Hepburn, Marly, Monroe and Brandon. There are 9 rooms in total all differently themed.
We stayed in the Andress room but I wouldn't call it a room. It was truly something special. A super king bed, lux furnishings, private steam room, slippers and bath robes, cocktails and chocolates ready, private fridge with fresh milk for teas and coffees (decent sized mugs too). Coffee made from pods in machine and a variety of specialist teas also available in the room.
The room also had a large metal bath tub with complimentary toiletries to use. The bathroom was palatial and included a wonderful shower again with luxury toiletries provided.
Outside we had a private walled courtyard. A huge and I mean gigantic metal outside bath which was out of this world to soak in whilst sipping on cocktails. The courtyard was filled with mature olive trees and other planting which transported me far away. Mirrors were used to make the yard seem larger but it was plenty big enough to hold two full length rocking loungers, a outside furnace with fresh kindling and logs to keep you toasty what ever the temperature, a small table and chairs and a bespoke hand made noughts and crosses table.
I can honestly say that the attention to detail was incredible and every item was of quality.
The bed was scrumptiously comfortable, the steam room ceiling was covered in tiny lights that looked like stars, our little courtyard heaven had sensitive lighting in the planting and around low level to ensure enough light for all needs but remained gentle and romantic. Plenty of hot water to fill the gigantic steel bath and soft towels just waiting wrap around you when you get out. No need for swimming gear as courtyard totally private.
Other great touches included the lovely photos around the room of Andress, large TV with Netflix, hairdryer, hidden aircon, automatic blinds for the skylights, Norfolk Monopoly board, Sparkling and Still water, underfloor heating (although we didn't try this.).
All topped off with a delicious more than ample breakfast feast.
