Zombie company

Zombie company. We have ordered before, though they were never prompt, or communicative, we did at least receive our order. However, this time - nothing.
Ordered & Paid on 8th May.
Emailed on the 14th to confirm. No response. No response via website contact form either.
Shipping notification on the 21st May, but a week later the parcel is still not collected (according to NZPost).
Feels like they're dragging things out on the hope we'd forget about it and they'd pocket the money (which seems to be the common theme on reviews here for this company since the beginning of the year).

Nothing delivered

I appear to be experiencing the same as many others who have posted here. My order and payment were accepted, and then zero communication and no product delivery. I'll file a dispute through my credit card company to get my money back. The online sales portal for this business needs to be shut down. I intended to support a small business, but this one doesn't seem to be operating.

Same as everyone else

Same as everyone else. They confirmed my order, took my money then nothing....ordered 29 Jan 25. I ordered from them last year and received my sourdough starter. Thought it would be okay. Obviously not. Total scam. Waste of $40.00.
Update on this....the owner contacted me immediately after I wrote this review, explaining he had been out of the country and was behind with the orders. Hmmm
Anyway he offered a refund or could post my order and refund the shipping charge.
My order was posted and I received it today. I was not refunded the shipping, but hey ho.
So this is not a scam site, but just badly managed maybe.....

A complete scam website

A complete scam website. Crooks.

Ordered some diastatic malt. Instant automated confirmation of order, and funds debited. Never any confirmation of shipping. Complete radio silence since, despite repeated emails, website contact and ringing their cell number.

Money taken, no product given.

Ordered on 9th Jan, money taken from my card. No delivery, no communication. I've emailed them twice in the last two weeks and also twice via their website contact page. No response. Do not use this company.

Buyer beware

Clearly I fall into the category of many other reviewers regarding this company. I ordered two sourdough starters post xmas and the items have not been delivered. They do not reply to emails within 48 hours or at all it seems. They did assign a tracking number for my order but it never gets further than that. Clearly a scam or thieves or both! I wish I had sourced this website before ordering. I can strongly encourage potential customers not to risk it....you will be left out of pocket without the desired product,.

Wow. Well done NZ Malt!

Wow! I posted a poor review of this company just two days ago, for non delivery of a pizza paddle ordered in December and non response to emails.
The boss saw it and emailed an apology and explanation last night and offered to drop it off today!
I accepted and my son has confirmed it arrived this evening. Full marks NZ Malt.

Bread Knife has not been delivered

Shame I did not read these reviews before purchasing.
Bought a bread knife, they took my money immediately, and have not replied to any emails.
How can we put a stop to other people falling into this scam? I ordered from website and that looked totally legit as others have said too.

I am in a similar position to others. Ordered a bread knife a month ago which has not arrived. No communication about this and have had no response to the three recent emails I have sent. Would love to be able to phone but can’t find a number anywhere.

Bread knife order

I ordered a bread knife from NZMALT. I received no despatch information so after 2 weeks I e-mailed the company. No response. I e-mailed twice more and left a message on their answer phone (number can be found on their Facebook page). Still no response so I asked my bank to reverse my credit card transaction. My recommendation is not to deal with NZMALT.

Ordered

Ordered. No contact. Emailed. No reply. Emailed again. No reply. Two+ weeks. Nothing. They have no phone number. Only way to contact them is email, and they either do not read, or never reply.
Unreliable. This is a good way to lose customers.

Poor Communication

NZ Malt have a great website and are selling quality products but unfortunately the communication was poor. As per other reviews of this site, the payment was processed without any delay but my goods didn’t arrive. My email enquiring as to their whereabouts went unanswered. After waiting two weeks and still no response I found an old Facebook listing with a phone number on it and called up. They were polite and apologetic and the goods then arrived within two days but it was a frustrating process to have to go through. Excellent website, good quality products - if they then followed up with good customer communication they could be onto winner. However, as far as I am concerned I won’t be using this site again.

Not ideal

Slick site, and quick to acknowledge order and take payment
Unfortunately now 2 months without anything further. Several requests remain unanswered.
Got a similar order from Aussie minus sourdough in about a week so not a supply chain problem
Now heard order is on the way as I emailed them directly for a final time before going to reclaim via Visa

Very disappointing experience

Very, very disappointed with my experience buying online at NZ Malt. Its a great looking website. The ordering itself was easy: I bought the sour dough kit I wanted, paid and received a confirmation of my order. And then nothing.......No product was sent out and there was no further correspondence. I emailed them on 4 separate occasions over the following month to chase up my order. Their Contact page said they would reply within 48 hrs. I didn't receive a single response from them. So after a month of silence, I contacted Visa Disputes who chased it up. Suddenly when it got to the point that Visa were going to reimburse my account, over 6 weeks after my order, NZ Malt finally sent a shipment notice to advise the product was on its way. I completely understand if there are stock issues, however no communication is not acceptable. It was a shame it was necessary to engage the Visa Disputes service, to get anywhere with my order. I hope NZ Malt learn from this. I don't post 1 star reviews lightly.
