If I could give zero stars I would

If I could give zero stars I would. It's been a nightmare dealing with this company. I placed an order and a few hrs later tried to cancel the order as items were no longer needed. After spending a considerable amount of time on hold they told me they couldn't guarantee the items would be cancelled. Three days later they tell me items couldn't be cancelled and I can start a return once item is received. They charged $70 for a UPS label!! I will never order anything from this company. They are shady as 🦆

⭐ 1-Star Review: Overstock.com – A Masterclass in Customer Neglect

If you're thinking about ordering from Overstock, save yourself the stress. This company’s customer service is beyond dysfunctional—it’s outright neglectful.

On June 15, I was assured by a rep named Mandisa that a third-party vendor would contact me within five business days to arrange a rug pickup. It’s now July 14—nearly a month later—and I haven’t received a single update, email, or phone call. Nothing.

I followed up with Aisha on June 24 after sitting on hold for three hours. She was kind but ultimately offered the same empty promise: “I’ll follow up.” Radio silence.

Then came Lucky on July 1, who promised to escalate the matter and scheduled two specific callback times. Neither happened. Not on July 1. Not on July 2. Just more time wasted and a complete lack of respect for mine.

This isn’t about a rug anymore—it’s about a company that refuses to take responsibility or honor even the most basic commitments to their customers.

Where is the accountability? Where is the follow-through?

Overstock has proven, repeatedly, that their idea of "customer care" is to say the right things and do absolutely nothing.

I am still waiting for a solution, but at this point, I wouldn’t recommend Overstock to my worst enemy. Until this is resolved, this review stands, and if you're reading this, take it as your warning.

I wish I could rate this lower

I wish I could rate this lower. I ordered on 6/24/25 and reached out to customer support on 7/5/25 when my order still hadn't shipped. Their policy states all orders should ship within 10 days. After providing screeneshots of my payment and order from their own website they claim no such order is in the system and they couldn't even offer me a refund. Even if it's cheap don't waste your time. Spend a little bit more and actually get what you order from somewhere else.

They ignore ADA mandates.
Charge you for goods your handicap makes it impossible to access and when you complain they tell you too bad your problem.

overstock has offered a 832 refund but…

overstock has offered a 832 refund but no shipping provided upon searching for shippers it would cost about 700 to return item. That is unacceptable. Can you provide any more assistance as the product is incomplete came in a destroyed box and is unusable to anyone.

Charged for a set, only 1/2 delivered, refund takes an act of Congress!

UPDATE: I have to be fair. After a 56 min hold on their line, the rep did resolve the issue, and refunded the cost of the never delivered item. I did use that lengthy hold to put in a dispute via PayPal also, so maybe that helped too.

Ordered a 2-item set. Only 1 item of 2 was ever delivered (it's been over a month), but I was charged the price for the complete set. I returned the 1 item. Overstock refunded only for the 1 item, even tho they had charged for 2. Trying to get the correct refund back is pulling teeth: a website that requires a code to access, they 'email' you a code that never arrives, you call the 1-833 number, it's a 42 min wait, you send Customer Service an email, it goes unanswered... I will never again do business with these crooks.

Card charged, no order.

Ordered, my card was charged, but no confirmation email and it's not showing in my orders. Called customer service, was told it would be a 98 minute wait to soeak to a rep. I highly suspect I'm going to have to fight tooth and nail to get my money back in the end. Will never order from here again, 1st time and not a good experience at all.

This is the last time will ever use this company as they took my order and canceled it five times they first said it was my card company that canceled it after contacting them they said that they approved the transaction going back to overstock they said it was a technical issue all and all I spent three hours on the phone and my issue was still not resolved terrible customer service not helpful at all will never ure them agaim

Buyer beware of this company

Buyer beware of this company. They are selling fake or real items retrofitted with fake parts. I purchased a Locman watch as pictured and it arrived with after market straps. I was replacing my original so I know the straps were not factory. I returned it and they deducted return shipping for “buyer remorse”. They refuse to refund the shipping back to my card. I wouldn’t buy socks from this place

Mildewed Sunbrella and worse Customer Service

I purchased what we’re supposed to be cushions made from Sunbrella fabric. They started to mildew almost immediately and overstock customer service was useless. Beware I’m not sure their products are genuine and they definitely won’t stand behind them.

Outrageously expensive!!

These products are mostly for millionaires, if your looking to spend lots of money then shop here but you can find the same items on temu for at least a fair price and the quality on temu is just the same, it's crazy no wonder there called overstock, no 1 has money like that these days

Product misrepresentation

I ordered a large rug that was described as red and navy with beige and grey accents. The images on Overstock confirmed this. What I got was a red and navy rug with a yellow and gold background. Not at all what I wanted. My spouse and I agreed that it wasn't accurately presented on the site, so I called Overstock customer service to get a prepaid return label and inform them of this problem. The customer service representative did not listen; he just kept repeating the same script, telling me it was red and navy, so I have no standing. And then he told me they would not pay shipping, which would mean an $89 charge. He did not care that the product was misrepresented by them. He then hung up on me! The text on the site that says they give a "full refund" is misleading, because you have to pay shipping, and that can be considerable charge.

Why is wayfair charging people in…

Why is wayfair charging people in northern ireland postage of £4.99 an article. They have stated free postage for goods over £40 this is not true. Best way of dealing with fake information is to vote with your feet and don't buy. Yet again people in Northern Ireland and some parts of Scotland are treated differently to those in England. State what you mean.
