Overstock was always my go-to website…
Overstock was always my go-to website when shopping for unique household items. Went to shop recently and noticed all my info was changed, and points and in-store credit had been used by a hacker earlier that day. I alerted Overstock immediately, but it still took 3 days for UPS to be notified of a fraudulent order and to return to the shipper. I've dealt with customer service, loss and prevention, and now billing, but am still waiting for a refund. It is always the same excuse, wait 3 to 5 business days, but it's been over 30 days and no refund. Overstock is showing little care for long-term customers.
Buyer's Remorse: Exorbitant Return Shipping Penalties
The return shipping fees are unlike anything I've ever encountered, especially for a large e-tailer these days.
Had I known that Overstock.com's return policy made it prohibitively expensive for consumers to return items that simply don't meet their requirements, I would have purchased the same goods at the same price from another retailer.
The two items we ordered – a rug and anti-slip mat – were of good quality and matched the description, but the rug didn't visually fit with our decor once we received it. And there were separate steep return shipping fees for each.
If their website sold hard-to-find merchandise at true "overstock" prices, their current return policy would make sense. That said, they're more consumer-friendly in accepting returned damaged and defective goods.
Proceed with caution and check other sources before committing to a purchase from this version of Overstock.com.
We'll never make that mistake again.
I placed an order and according to…
I placed an order and according to their cancellation policy “you can cancel within 45 minutes of purchase”. I cancelled 30 mins later with an associate. 2 days later my order was withdrawn from my bank. I called again-they said “we will high prioritize this cancellation”. On Jan 1st my order was shipped and now this is on me to intercept the order if not arrange for a return. Overstock has been useless!
Poor quality and overpriced return shipping
I knew when I ordered the item that I would have to pay return shipping but they force you to use their return shipping and the fee was over $20. Definitely could have returned for cheaper.
Also frustrated with the quality of the rugs I received which is why I reigned them. Supposed to be anti-fatigue rugs. I already own one so I know what thickness to expect. These were half the thickness if that. Absolutely NOT anti-fatigue rugs. Looked more like something you’d get from Temu.
Last order from them ever.
Order cancelled 3 times claiming…
Order cancelled 3 times claiming fraudulent activity.
I recently tried to purchase some rug protectors, stools and Murphybed on Overstock.com. They kept cancelling my order with the website saying it was fraud. Even after I got an email saying, "It's on its way". I called to see why this was happening and what do as I need these items. The customer service person said their system randomly cancels orders and they cannot fix it. Thanks for calling Overstock. Ok then. She was polite and you can tell this happens all the time.
Now I know if I really want something, don't use overstock.
Not the Overstock I once knew
I'd placed several orders with Overstock several years ago, in the months after moving into a new home. Never had an issue. Recently came back to purchase several sets of picture frames at a pre-Black Friday sale. What I did not realize is that Overstock now allows 3rd party sellers to operate on their website. The frames I ordered did not at all match the description or photos on Overstock. They were shipped from another company and they are just awful. Cheap, flimsy, unevenly painted wood stapled together and with cardboard backers and stands. These are something one would find in the clearance section at the Dollar Store, not as part of an expensive set. I sent photos and a screenshot of the Overstock page to customer service, explaining that the items sold were grossly misrepresented. I got a reply telling me I could return them at my cost, with shipping costing nearly 75% of the price paid. So many online retailers are turning to third party sellers and exorbitant return fees. Overstock is no different. I would avoid them.
Bait and switch?
Ordered sheets and was sent a completely different item. I had to return them before they refunded and when I inquired where my original item was I was told to reorder.
Never again overstocks!
Discount Code = Fraud
Items in my cart shot up in price on Black Friday - when I applied their code "BlackFriday15" the cost of the items went up instead of down! Insane, scammy, not worth the trouble.
Price Gouging Fake Discounts
Bizarre discount behavior - by entering a coupon discount code, the prices actually go UP!!!! IDK what kind of scam this is, but one item was priced at $854 - when I entered a 15% off discount code, the price went to $1,004!
How desperate for customers can you be???
I've just received an email from this company calling itself Zulily. I've never heard of them. I don't live in the United States. Why are companies which behave like this allowed on the internet? Where did they get my email? This is all making the internet a very unsafe place for everyone. From their Trustpilot review score I can see why they are doing it ... total desperation!
I Used To Love Overstock
I used to love Overstock, but this is not the same company we knew before. It's a ripoff! I found a door mat I liked on Overstock for $36.99, which seemed high. Did an internet search and found the same exact mat for $13.99 at three well known retailers. It was the same exact brand, size and design. I tried to post a negative review on Overstock to warn others, but it was never published. I will not be using this "new Overstock" any more. Such a shame.
No customer service
I am so angry. They own bed bath &beyond. I have a return. Never opened but heavy. I can’t find a human or an email to allow the return

Waited 6 week now they say my order was delivered but it wasn’t I have cctv and ring door bell
Anyone else had the same problem
6 weeks to ship one in-stock item after they charged my card
I ordered a set of outdoor furniture covers that were apparently in stock. It has been 3 weeks since they charged my credit card. The only way to find out the order status is to call customer "service" and have them tell you. You can't see it on the site. I've been informed it may take another 3 weeks. Overstock.com may have my money for 6 weeks before I get my purchase. I'm loaning them money for 6 weeks! NEVER buying anything from them again.
Overstock shipped me the wrong-sized…
Overstock shipped me the wrong-sized bedding from what was on my order confirmation. They won't refund for purchase of 95.00, except for a refund of 13.00.
Very Disappointed
I ordered a recliner that had a 5 yr manufacturer warranty. I thought that would mean I was buying something that would hold up. Before the 4 year mark, springs started ripping through the fabric beneath the chair and popping out. I tried to contact support but because O.co only has a 30 day warranty, they were no help. They did give me a few numbers for the manufacturer and allegedly tried to reach them in my behalf. All the numbers were no longer in service. You'd think O.co would at least want to do something as compensation-perhaps a discount on a replacement? I've purchased a lot of items from them and now need a new chair. No such luck. They just keep repeating that the item isn't eligible for a return.
Bought a wedding ring on Overstock.com…
Bought a wedding ring on Overstock.com only to find the order just sitting there unfulfilled?
Customer service is terrible and speak in heavy Indian accents from a call center in South Africa. After 3 days of waiting for order to ship out, I started reading reviews from other sources and found out that this plane is flying, but nobody is in the cockpit at the NEW Overstock.com. Then, I cancelled my order and got my money back.
Then bought the same ring from a vendor for $300 less than what they were charging and it will be in my hands later today. It just took 3 days to order and ship it here as opposed to order still sitting at Overstock unfulfilled and getting a lot of excuses...lol!
Apparently, new Beyond CEO is too busy patting himself on the back to notice that he is running this plane into the ground and that his customers are dumping Beyond & Overstock by the droves and with 1 star reviews and ruining their past legacy.
If service doesn't improve, I don't expect that these will stay in business very long?
Terrible Customer Service
BUYER BEWARE!!! The new "relaunched" Overstock is not the Overstock you remember! I ordered an eight-piece outdoor seating sectional. Three of the eight seats were damaged two of them had wicker that was gouged. I requested a replacement and was informed that they do not have replacement options, even though the set was still available on their website. I was told that my only options were to return the entire set for a full refund or accept a $261 credit. The set cost $2700 (on sale). By simple math, the value of each piece would be approximately $340. The credit they were offering did not even cover the cost of one of the pieces much less three. I was informed that a computer generates the amount of credit after they enter the information and put in the pictures of the damage. This is not the way Overstock used to operate. The old overstock Would most certainly have sent out replacement pieces or given a much more generous credit. Do not be fooled into thinking this is the same company that you associate with Overstock. This is a re-launched “new” company that is not providing the same level of customer service. I will never buy from them again!

If I had had the possibility to put 0 stars I would have. It's a SCAM. I lost 60 euros, few compared to those of many hours. But DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SITE PLS
