Daughter signed up for OXIO in Aug 2025…

Daughter signedup for OXIO in Aug 2025 for university in Kingston. Two days after receiving their equipment and they still could not connect so, (I was helping), we said thanks but no thanks and they sent a link to send back their equipment. I took it to Canada Post late August and away it went and had a copy of the tracking #. After about a month I thought I should check the shipment and nothing showed up as delivered. I contacted the company via messenger, they don't answer phones, and was told that their "warehouse was swamped" and the CSR was sure the equipment had arrived. I waited another month, contacted them again, same response, so eventually I forgot about it and chucked out the tracking #. 4 months after we sent the equipment they start sending threatening letters to my daughter. I contect them "again" and they now blame whatever the issue was on the Canada Post strike?? and then ask "do you have your tracking #?...like 4 months later. I say no but am really pissed off and tell them loose the threats with my daughter as she in finals and now stressed out becuase of their inabilty to run their company. The CSR tells me that the issue will be closed. Now my daughter has gotten collection agency notices. This company is not only incompentant they are just simply useless. Do NOT use them. It all started with them not being able to connect to existing coax or telco lines present in a house. They have NO real person support...just cheap middle man crap.

I signed up with Oxio and regret it.

Customer service is weak. You never speak to a real person. Everything runs through text messages. Responses come at odd hours. The tone feels dismissive and unprofessional.

I cancelled my service and returned the required equipment. I accidentally included my own personal router in the return box. Instead of contacting me, they threw it out. Then they charged me 130 dollars for what they called unreturned equipment.

They made no effort to resolve the issue. No phone call. No accountability. No ownership.

If you value clear communication and fair problem solving, look elsewhere

Absolutely ridiculous customer service

Absolutely ridiculous customer service. They only talk to you when selling/installing. After that it is impossible to reach a human. Been trying to resolve an issue for 48 hours and has been impossible to reach them. Once I do they (Agent Diyaa) blame me for the issue.

My experience with oxio was frustrated

My experience with oxio was frustrated. During my planification to go oversea for a military mission for 6 months with a extension. They waited extra 3 days to proceed my temporary cancellation to get a other monthly payment in. When i moved back to Canada, my new place had already internet. I followed the instruction and sent back the router to the address they indicated. I kept my canada post receipt for 2 months. 4 months later oxio, are charging me 179$ for not returning the equipment. Of course, after 2 months , i did throw away the receipts. Also , as i m very busy, i been trying to talk to someone from the company and it is hard by email chat. Because if you dont answer in 24h . They delete the conversation. I had to explain myself to 4 different persons with no evident follow up or notes down on your file. They dont care about you, unless you give them money.

Switched from Big Telecom to Oxio and it has been a positive experience. Try it free for a month with the following code RDBJCBE . The only piece that might be a slight hassle is getting set up is a bit of a chore but once you are running you are golden.

Oxio is the worst

I have used oxio for a couple of years now. The internet connection is poor, I have had many issues with them. Their customer service is very unhelpful and typically leaves me to try to resolve the issues on my own and takes a very long time to get back to me with the advice to just reset the modem. I would not recommend them to my worst enemy.

By far the worst ISP I've dealt with…

By far the worst ISP I've dealt with (including Bell and Rogers). Oxio is predatory and part of the cash grab startups that pretend like they're passing on cheap rates to customers because of their lack of marketing / "we aren't that big", but they're actually just renting the old coax lines that aren't the main money makers anymore for bigger ISPs. They're using the PE model to prey on folks that are tired of expensive bills, but they are cutting corners, using terrible customer service, and simply aren't worth it.

I would much rather try to negotiate with one of the big ones, or try to go with Fido, Cogeco, or a different player.

Zero stars if possible.

Zero stars if possible.
Dont bother with this company, a total joke. If you like texting with Ai for 20 minutes till you get an agent to text you back and still texting another half hour and nothing gets resolved.
I got fed up canceled my service that was scheduled to start, sent back the modem and router, they said upon receiving it they would credit my mastercard, they did not, reached out tidiously today and now said takes 7 to 10 days for their team to scan the shipment, what kind of BS is that... Well today being the 22 of January makes 10 days according to them. And no refund, no response from them. This company is very very shady and needs to be investigated.
Dont waste your time and your health

Worst internet provider I have ever…

Worst internet provider I have ever used. Everyday I have to reset my network, everyday my connection drops. And all the tech support tells me to do, is unplug my modem for 60 seconds.

I definitely do not recommend this company to anyone.

Waste of time

Waste of time. Instructions to set up not clear, eased three hours trying to figure out. Waited hours for tech support didn't hear from them for three hours and then it wasn't clear what they were trying to suggest. They have to send out technician but it will take days yo even confirm when. So I cancelled and then even that was annoying. I cannot imagine having to deal with their terrible support services if something went wrong

unhelpful and a waste of time

oxio has a cute website that seems inviting and friendly, and geared to technologically nimble users. but I would suggest that those who value care and attention to their customers should look elsewhere among this very competitive field of ISPs. After dealing with Rogers/Shaw for 10+ years, which was a nightmare in itself, I can say that now I have actually encountered truly abysmal customer service - modem delivery to BC was held up after 10 days of ground delivery, and, rather than offering any solution (such as airmailing a replacement--why not?? ), they simply told us, over a silly text-message thread that made us feel like teenagers, "we have no control over the package once it's in the courier's hands". a reply that is both dismissive and a waste of time for the discerning customer. good bye oxio.

Appalling Customer Service

I was with Cogeco for 30+ years, but their rates just spiralled out of sight. I switched to Oxio because of their competitive rates, a new router and modem, and supposedly, stellar customer service.

I have been with them for a year and a half. There are constant interruptions with the internet and it keeps cutting out. While online my computer will freeze. It takes ages to load a new page.

The worst part is trying to resolve problems which has become a nightmare. Oxio has no real agents, and the only way to connect with them is through a bot via e-mail or SMS. Customer service is incapable of resolving or addressing the simplest of concerns. The whole experience is frustrating.
