Too many potatoes
The vegetables and fruit are fresh, and the box arrives when promised. The delivery person is fast, helpful and is now taking back boxes from previous deliveries. I get a small fruit and veg box for one person.
My one complaint is that there are too many potatoes week after week. Five this week in addition to other root veg. I just can't eat that many.
I would be willing to pay a bit more for a small box with another green vegetable instead of potatoes or with only one or two potatoes.

I love receiving these boxes which never disappoint - quality of fruit and vegetables is great, they have a good selection of additional items which you can add on to your delivery - one of which is their bread which is amazing and a real treat to get it delivered. Thank you pale green dot

Disappointed
Ordered a cheese box for my dads birthday. He received the delivery notification for a 2 hour delivery slot but nothing was delivered that day. I followed up through customer services who just let me know it wasn’t in stock this week so would refund me. Unacceptable that I was able to place order for specific day, receive the notification of delivery slot and my Dad get no present! Utterly disappointed.

We are so sorry that this has happened, especially as it was meant as a gift.
We have raised this with our logistics team to understand why your order was provided a delivery time (on your chosen day of delivery) when it was out of stock and that no one had contacted you ahead of time to notify you of this. For this we can only apologies.
We will get a complimentary cheese box out to your dad next week as a way of apology. Our customer service team will be in contact to arrange this.
Decrease in quality/quantity recently.
Quantity, quality and variety of produce has declined significantly in recent weeks. This week's box almost identical to last. When I started ordering from PGD the variety was brilliant as was the quality. Now its lots of cabbages and other cheap / less versatile veg - what's happened?

Apologies for the delay in coming back to you.
We change box contents every two weeks (whilst keeping certain staples in the boxes consistent). The unseasonably cold weather has meant that a lot of the usual 'spring' produce we get from our suppliers or grow ourselves is now only just coming through so we should see lots of changes in the boxes filtering through now.
We're sorry that you feel your box wasn't as high quality as previously - this has been flagged with our packing team who are our quality gatekeepers to ensure they're maintaining our high standards.

Great quality but not enough
It arrived as scheduled but the quantity of products was disappointing. The quality is very good but for a family of 3 that eats mostly vegetables and fruits this will not suffice for a week.

Pleased to hear that you feel the quality was very high and delivery arrived as scheduled.
With regards to the quantity, was this a large or small box you ordered? The majority of our customers find that a large box feeds a family of four with veg for a week comfortably. If you eat a predominately veg based diet you can supplement the box with a Salad Box, Greens Box or Stir-fry Box.

On the whole, I love the boxes we get. It does feel like some weeks are more abundant than others however the produce always seems fresh and lasts a long time.

Disappointed long-term customer
I’m an old PGD customer and it saddens me to leave this review with 3 stars only. Seems like the value for money is no longer there: the delivery charge, the prices have gone up (I used to buy your red wine boxes fairly regularly but can’t justify £16(!) increase now), the recent quantity and quality of the premium veg box was also a letdown (the lettuce was dull upon arrive and I could not use it)... What has happened? I’ve been such a big fan recommending your produce to many friends and family, but the last order left me disappointed.

We're sorry to hear you've been disappointed in your most recent order - all of the produce is delivered in refrigerated vans so the lettuce should not have arrived like this. We've flagged it with our purchasing team to look at where the issue has arisen.
With regards to your comments on the price increase on the wine box, we changed the whole range within the case; they are all now sourced from either organic or small vineyards practising sustainable growing methods. This naturally has increased the cost of the case, however we hope our customers agree that the quality of wine is far better (and more interesting varieties) and still offers excellent value for money.
We introduced a low delivery fee on one-off orders under £30 as we believe it is the fairest way to keep the prices of our boxes low for all customers. Delivery charges are standard across fresh produce companies, we had simply held off introducing one for as long as possible.
Any subscription box (regardless of price) or one-off orders over £30 are free.
We hope that you will continue to use Pale Green Dot for your shopping.
