Was charged £20.00 extra

Was charged £20.00 extra because I asked for a quiet spot. When I challenged this I was spoken to rudely and like a child and was told it I didn't pay then I would have to take pot luck. When I flushed the toilet it splashed up the pipe of the sink.

The caravan was lovely wasn’t anything…

The caravan was lovely wasn’t anything to clean with such as sponges but wasn’t a big deal! We first got there the tv was broken but they fixed it within a couple of hours which was brilliant! The restraunts on site are far too expensive if you’re looking for a budget holiday we ended up on a budget having to cook for the last couple of night because we was spending 30 pound alone on lunch so if we was to eat out everyday for lunch and dinner and pay for the entertainment and everything else it would be way over our budget, the staff in the boathouse need to be trained up a bit more I was asked to work out how much change I was owed on my first day on the calculator on her phone but they was very kind, the pool staff on the other hand are horrid we went swimming on the first day and within 5 minutes we was moaned at 3 times once was because the children went into a different pool without us we was literally about to follow them I had a baby in my arms the next time was because the kids was using the floats? Didn’t realise the kids wasn’t allowed to use them they shouldn’t be sat there as obviously kids are going to take them and use them! Then this was the funniest one my partners son got told off for splashing in a pool ( a adults pool) yes that’s right splashing in a swimming pool 🙄 because the lifeguard didn’t want to get wet what a joke 🙄 they sat there quite obviously slagging us off made us feel very uncomfortable

Having just arrived home from Skipsea…

Having just arrived home from Skipsea Sands. I would like to say the caravan was a shock. At first when pulling up outside the van we thought we had the wrong one. Three bedrooms, seperate dining area, lounge with french doors leading to a veranda.
The site was lovely and clean and the staff were very friendly.
Would recommend this site to anyone.
We are going to Tumnel Valley park on the 20th May and hope this site will be as good as Skipsea

Stayed at thorness bay: not impressed

Stayed at thorness bay, Isle of Wight. Just one night camping with my two young children. Was a spare of moment booking, weather was nice, Easter break, live on the island so thought why not. We’ve stayed on the site many times before and go camping here every year. We choose this park as it’s beautiful location, small, quite and normally very family friendly. Not on this occasion. Upon arrival at reception very friendly and helpful staff and manager (or team leader) said great to have returning people and I should leave a review. So I will. First thing is the lack of maintenance in the main toilets (male) in the entertainment complex. Very dirty, ridiculous strong urine smell and hand dryers not working. This was not the main problem though. It’s Easter weekend and the majority of people camping was young families. On the pitch opposite us was a group of around 8 adults with a couple of children. They were so loud all day and until early hours of morning. Music, shouting, very drunk and the bad language was unheard of at top of there voices, f this, c that. My children and I imagine others trying to sleep and asking why are they being like that and I understand that you are Ment to have fun on your break but this was unacceptable behaviour for a small family p park. The distribution could of been heard any where on the park. Doesn’t the park have security patrols? Spoilt a nice family short break completely. Been going here for many years but won’t be returning. Shame

Dirty dangerous and threatened

As a family we make at least 4 caravan holiday breaks a year as we find it difficult to travel abroad with our childrens health issues, this trip it was time to vist ParkDean resort southview in Skegness, as a family we only expext things to be clean, working and safe, unfortunatley for us this bank holiday weekend fell waaaay short of all 3, we arrived to the caraven and made our usual exciting looks around the van with the kids seeing where we would sleep etc, after only a few minutes we realised that the van had not been cleaned at all, we found bread/toast crumbs all over the kitchen tops and floor, grease all inside outside and around the cooker/ extractor fan, i mean thick grease that you could write your name in, the fridge had not been cleaned as we found a sticky substance all inside, all of the sides where we would place and find glasses mugs ets was also full of greasy fat, moving into one of the boys rooms we was welcomed by wallpaper and hard sharp plastic trim pretruding from the walls which was at the perfect height for a child to hurt them self on, we then was met by the smell of the blocked pipes of the toilet, i would normally just attend to these problems myself but as we kept finding more issues and it was aproaching dinner/tea time and the kids was hungry we could eat in the kitchen until it was cleaned so we decided to take a walk to the reception, the rection staff took our complaints and came up with a solution, we was to receive £40 in vouchers to spend at the onsite restaurant while the attended to the issues at hand, we of course took the vouchers and enjoyed our meals looking forward to be going to a clean safe caravan, unfortunatley again as we returned we was met with what must be only half the job done if that, we still had crumbs and grease all over our eating areas and the others mentioned above, i again contacted reception who agreeded again to send another set of cleaners, upon arival these cleaners was horrified at the state of the van, they was amazing and very quickly had things as they should be apart from the carpet that looked like it was from the 80's and had about 1000 different types of food spilt onto it over its time.

That night we was hopeful for a better day after a good nights sleep, unfortunatley we was met by more problems thoughout the night, the issue was that we had absolutley no heating, we of course reported the issue along side the wallpaper/carpet and broken plastic trim, please try and remember that we had a 3 day stay and at this point we was still trying to fix the issues which was very stressfull and time consuming, my partner stayed in to make sure that when the maintenance cane round the jobs was completed, i received a call whilst i was out with the kids from reception to inform me that all the jobs had been completed, i returned back to the van to be told that the heating wasnt fixed and we had to wait for a plumber, we could not use the onsite swimming baths upto the point which we had planned to because our eldest son has to have special treatme t after every visit to a swimming pool in the form of shower creams and after care, of course this couldnt be done because we had no hot water. We eventually had the boiler fixed and could continue with the last 1 1/2 hours of the 2nd day of our Holiday.

The next morning i decided to drive to the onsite shop with the 2 kids to buy some breakfast, as we was trying to leave i had noticed that a van labelled as a (WeatherShield maintenance van) was blocking my exit, i bibed the horn to try and gain the attention of who ever was the van driver, the driver came out and said something to me but unfortunatley my window was up, i lowed the winder to ask him again what he had said and he swore at me, we both drove and with the driver again shouting things at me, in the end the driver asked me to drive round the corner where he could have a fight with me, i of course informed him that i have 2 young children in the car and i definatley would not be going anywhere, i then took a picture of the van so that i could report the driver, when i was back at the van i called the number on the Van (0800 7471378) i was greates by a man called Geoff who i told the short story to, he apologised and then told me that he would be dealing with the driver himself, aprox 5 minutes later i then again received a call from a mobile number, i picked up the phone and again it was Geoff, this time he wasnt so nice, he began to swear and threaten me saying that it was me that had asked for a fight and i was swearing at the van driver, Geoff then told me that he will be coming onsite to find me to deal with the me the issue face to face.

At this point i rang site security, after only 2 minutes of speaking with the security guard he advised me that i should call the police because the people in question arent actually paying guests but infact in his words "Travellers" and they stay at the front of the site entrance on a spare piece of land, he told me that they cant stop people coming on site to use the shops etc, obviously at this point i was extremely worried for my young family and made the decision to call the Police and inform reception that we will be checking out, the manager who dealt with the issue informed me that they dont and wont control who comes on site and nothing can be done to ensure our safety, the onsite safety in my opinion is not upto scratch and they absolutley have zero care of who should and shouldnt be walking and driving round the site, we of corse then made the trip home very early with 2 sad little boys in toe.

Sorry for the grammer and spelling ive just tried to get down as much as i could, thanks for reading

We were owners of a lodge at high…shame on park resorts, they don't care.

We were owners of a lodge at high field, lodge was worth £65000, their own staff wrecked our lodge by flooding it just before Easter, we were given just £35000 in compensation, I advise any one never to buy a caravan or lodge from these thieves, yes that's what they are, once they have your money the will not want to know you, I beg anyone who is thinking of buying from these sharks not to or at least read the owners reviews, we didn't even get an apology from park dean resorts, so please everyone, be WARNED.

Family holiday 8th - 12th of April 2019

Family holiday 8th - 12th of April 2019 at a Ruda Holiday Park, Croyde Bay a Parkdean Resort. What a brilliant week we had. A very friendly and welcoming site, everything there on site that you would need for a family. On site shops, restaurants, swimming pool, park and beach/village near by. Our accommodation was lovely, we was ordinarily staying in a lodge but due to a unfortunate circumstance we was upgraded to Lundy Cottage by Hoseasons free of charge. Lundy Cottage was a lovely place to stay with all the essential things and plenty of room a family would need. All within reach and a short walk from the main entrance of the site. Lots of things to do and explore in the local village or a short trip to Ilfracombe or a 20 minute ride to The Big Sheep. Money off ticket prices from the reception. This was our first time here at a Ruda and I definitely think we will be back again.

Stayed at thorness bay in the isle of wight with my 2 girl's. Have not been on a caravan holiday for a few years. It was buy far the best weekend I have had in years the entertainment was the best I have ever seen. The welcoming we got from all staff was 5 star. For a team of just 5 people to keep a room on the edge of there seats from the moment you enter the show bar to the moment you have to leave is totally generous. Even in the day time they are all ways around with a smile on there face and willing to help you. If you like a good time and want to be entertained I strongly recommend you go and see this team they are amazing 5 STAR

As an owner I would strongly recommend not spending your money buying from this unscrupulous company. Their sales staff blatantly lie to get a sale, they fraudulently charge for "extras" they don't provide. They use finance companies that obviously don't scrutinize contracts and don't practice Responsible lending ..,.Buy bricks and mortar it's alot more risk free.

Just wanted to say thankyou

Just wanted to say thankyou, I booked a break to the Sandford resort a few weeks ago to go around Easter. It came to my attention that I got the dates wrong. Rang up Park Dean hoping to swap and pay a fee for the change. However because the break cost less I did not have to pay any more money. I did not expect this exception service after my silly mistake. It just shows some companies are not out to make more money and people miserable.
Once again thankyou, would recommend to others. Looking forward to the break.
