Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 110 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Customers frequently arrived at reserved parking lots only to discover that the spaces were completely full, already sold out, or located much farther away from the actual venue than advertised. Many consumers also reported receiving completely incorrect addresses that directed them to entirely wrong areas or unsafe parts of town. People heavily struggled with unexpected service fees, extremely high rates, and parking payment systems that consistently failed to function properly. Furthermore, reviewers expressed deep frustration regarding unresponsive customer support teams and prolonged, unacceptable delays when attempting to secure refunds.

ParkWhiz Deserves a 0 or Negative Numbers for your Review - 1 may be too high

I would rather rate my ParkWhiz experience with a 0 or in negative numbers.

I was going to New Orleans recently and was uncomfortable with the idea of parking overnight on the street. I pre-paid $84 for 3 nights of parking, and was charged a $18.63 "service fee."

I didn't have any trouble parking at the garage at 166 Roosevelt Way garage in downtown New Orleans. I parked at a non-reserved spot near the 3rd floor elevators at around 4:30pm on Thursday, December 4. I was a little concerned that there didn't seem to be an office or anyone working at the garage. I called the ParkWhiz phone number on Friday, and was reassured that everything was fine.

When we went to retrieve my car on Sunday morning, I saw it had been booted. This was extremely upsetting. Admiral Enforcement had left a large sticker on my car. I called them to complain. They suggested I call the garage and ParkWhiz. No on answered at ParkWhiz and I couldn't find a number for the garage, and, as usual, there was no evidence that anyone was working Sunday morning.

I called back Admiral Enforcement and they were back at my car within a half hour. They wound up charging me $208.31 for unbooting my car.

So because I used ParkWhiz, parking in New Orleans for three nights cost me $310.84 - over $100 a night for parking.

When I wrote to ParkWhiz to complain, they claimed, and I quote: "Apologies for the delay in our response and we appreciate your patience! I’m so sorry to hear that you were booted! ParkWhiz is a third-party listing service and is not responsible for booting or towing vehicles or enforcing parking regulations at any parking lot. If you think that you were towed in error, please reach out to the location directly with all documentation that you have."

And it turned out I could have parked safely in New Orleans. A friend of mine parked his Tesla on the street where we were staying - his car was fine and easily accessible whenever he wanted to use it.

I will never use ParkWhiz again and have already deleted it from my phone.

I would like to rate it a 0 but cannot

I would like to rate it a 0 but cannot. I reserve and paid for a parking spot. When I arrived at the lot there were no spots available. I ended up an hour late for my event and 3 days later I am still bantering with customer service about getting a refund. Honestly, I should be getting more than a refund for my husband, son and me missing an hour of our event that we paid for!

SCAM DO NOT USE

SCAM DO NOT USE

I requested refund when I did not park in my prepaid spot . $150 . They cited small print disclaimer , provided $75 coupon instead .

No response when I disputed their claim. Multiple ‘no responses ‘.
I also don’t live in the city, no use
For the coupon.

Scam. DO NOT USE

Completely dishonest

They were completely dishonest. I purchased a parking pass for a concert in Austin, but they failed to disclose that the lot was actually about 1.2 miles away. I would have had to walk 35 minutes—at night, with two kids—through an area of town that was not so safe. I ultimately had to scramble to find alternative parking, which ended up costing me three times as much. Pass#765931736

Scam Do NOT use

Scam! Do not use. Paid $30 for a parking garage spot only to find out that the garage was full!
The attendant also told us that they don’t use 3rd party services. It’s pay at location only.

Distance wrong on website still waiting for refund

They had the wrong distance listed on their website from the parking garage to the venue. I had to end up purchasing additional parking elsewhere. I have been waiting on a refund for two months now, but "they have to update the listing first." Meaning they have continued to sell passes for a parking garage that isn't properly listed for an additional two months. I would never recommend this company.

It's just a scam. Maybe it works sometimes, but not guaranteed..

I paid for a reserved parking space. Got there, the lot was full. Attendant said it was first come, first served, no spaces reserved. Other drivers with ParkWhiz reservations had the same problem.

ParkWhiz is completely unresponsive to customer communications.

Scam operation!

Scam operation!! Do not use parkwhiz- they take your money and then you get to your parking spot on to find out you were scammed and there is no parking spot. They do not give you a refund, they ghost you after you file a complaint.

I wasted 15 minutes and countless…

I wasted 15 minutes and countless attempts to pay for my parking when I parked for a business lunch.
There was no option to get help, therefore I had to go to my meeting worried about being towed because the payment would not work.
This company is losing revenue but like most parking companies, they probably dgaf since they are taking in the dough and there is not a lot of choice to the consumer. It is disgraceful. Do better!!

Sketchy- park somewhere else

I paid for my parking and have it documented on the ParkWhiz app. They proceeded to send me a letter saying I owed $100 and I was going to go to collections.PRRS person was super rude to me on the phone. I filled out the dispute. Apparently it didn’t work because I called to follow up two weeks later and they tried to tell me I didn’t do it, but I did get a message when I completed the form saying thank you for filling it out or something like that, which seemed like I did complete it. Weeks later I’m still fighting with them to correct this. Sloppy work on Park quiz at the best but the fact that they took the effort to take pictures of my car coming and going and the license plate and to send me a letter makes me think something more sketchy is going on. If you Google this experience, there are many similar experiences. 10/30 still fighting to get this resolved over 6 weeks later!

Never had a problem

We have used this app a few times over the last few weeks and never been let down yet. We do add our number plate which makes the whole experience much easier. Each time the barriers have been up and we’ve had no problem entering or leaving. We park in an unreserved area of whichever parking we have chosen. It’s been inexpensive and easy.

ParkWhiz is a scam beware

ParkWhiz reached out to me after I purchased tickets to the Nate Bargatze event. The Parking lot I purchased parking for $50 was a 15 minute walk to the event. The event is in the middle of downtown Tulsa and not where I want my wife walking in the dark for 15 minutes. There was parking the day of the event a block away for $20-$30. ParkWhiz took advantage of our situation presenting it like parking was going fast so buy before the event to secure close parking. I'm going to let everyone know how much of a rip off ParkWhiz is and to avoid you at all costs.

“Zero” Rating - Fraudulent

If I could put “zero” this would be a zero company. I did not know that when buying parking through StubHub that I was buying Park Whiz (second party & apparently the “ticket holder”). This company appears to be committing fraud & should be shut down. I have tried contacting them via phone, email, chat, & submitted “service requests” over the past couple of days, all while disabled & also attending a funeral. The concert is today & I still have over $100 of parking not displaying in the app. It clearly states that you need an electronic ticket & the email from StubHub will be insufficient, so I have two parking passes & do not know if I will be able to park anywhere tonight. My friend wanted a more expensive park closer to the venue, so I had planned to resell the first ticket (I called StubHub prior to buying the second ticket), but because it does not display in the app I could not transfer it to StubHub to be resold. This is a situation where both companies have been crap, but Park Whiz are worse because they are ghosting & non-responsive. Selling a service & not providing it is illegal. Please shut them down.

Park Whiz can not be trusted

Park Whiz can not be trusted. I paid 50.00 for a parking spot that I needed for the day and after payment was told it was only for a few hours. I tried to get a refund but the site has says “processing” for the past 4 days. I, sadly was taken, so I am warning others.

Overcharged for space bad customer service

I paid $36 for a spot in a lot in Philly. When I got there the lot was virtually empty and the guy at the gate was selling spaces for $20. When I reached out to customer service to see if they’d provide a partial refund they had no interest in helping. I won’t be using them again and I would warn anyone thinking about using them.

Terrible company

Terrible company. Cut my time short by 30 minutes and had the audacity to ask me for more money. When I don’t give them more money and I stay for what I paid for they fine me. Terrible company, absolute scam, 0/10 would never in 1000 years use again
