Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 110 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Customers frequently arrived at reserved parking lots only to discover that the spaces were completely full, already sold out, or located much farther away from the actual venue than advertised. Many consumers also reported receiving completely incorrect addresses that directed them to entirely wrong areas or unsafe parts of town. People heavily struggled with unexpected service fees, extremely high rates, and parking payment systems that consistently failed to function properly. Furthermore, reviewers expressed deep frustration regarding unresponsive customer support teams and prolonged, unacceptable delays when attempting to secure refunds.

As Incompetent as it can be.

Incompetent
Paid for parking via Ticket MAster their web site laks logic to enter car licence palte. I arrived to event and my car was towed, when i call to ask for support they only provided me with a phone number of the 3rd party vendor (Platinum Parking) and such phone did not work.
The support time if they anwser you have no idea how to solve any issue and constantly request you to solve the issue. I requesed for a refund well see if that works out.

I won't use this service again

I won't use this service again. Bad experience with whole process and dealing with the parking attendant at 1235 Dallas St Houston. First time I used the Parkwhiz app, created an account had both our vehicle plate numbers on my profile. I booked the reservation using my vehicle's plate number but drove my wife's vehicle. That was my mistake. When leaving the attendant would not let us exit because the ticket had a different license plate and he said he couldn't see my wife's plate in the system. I showed him my profile on the ParkWhiz app with both plates, also had a printout of the receipt and the parking pass. I'm not aware that there's a way to update the app or parking pass real time once completed if you change vehicles. The attendant asked for my phone number sent me a link, asked me to reenter my credit card info , assumed he was trying to get me to pay again, thank goodness it wouldn't let me complete the transaction. He finally raised the gate so we could leave. Next day I received a next from the Metropolis Co., who owns the garage stating there would be a charge with late fee, total $54 if I didn't pay. Called ParkWhiz they were no help at all, they told me I needed to contact the parking garage, called the parking garage which operates under the name Metropolis parking, they were helpful and after a couple of hours they called me back and said there would be no additional charge. Location 1235 Dallas St Houston TX. What a hassle!

Parking scam.

I parked at the downtown Sacramento X Street parking lot, scanned the QR code by ParkWhiz, and paid $12 for the day. I left, came back an hour or so later only to find that Park Mobile had given me a ticket. Apparently, both companies are running this lot and both need to be paid. However, I couldn't find a sign for Park Mobile, just the giant signs for ParkWhiz.

Parkwhiz terrible customer service

Parkwhiz notified me via email that I violated their terms / policy, which I did not. I never resold parking passes.

There is zero option to contact the company (I've tried). I've texted, which generates auto response with their website. I've sent 6 emails with no response.

I hope this company gets shut down.

They commit fraud

They commit fraud. The issued a ticket 2 minutes after my parking payment expired. I appealed it. They rejected the appeal and now they are threatening me that they will tow my car away and commit theft if I don’t pay $120 for 2 minutes.

This app will steal your money

I used this app and it didn’t work, so I contacted customer service for a refund. They didn’t issue me a refund but gave me a “credit” towards a future booking. Why would I reuse an app that doesn’t work? Thanks but no thanks to Wil F in customer service, who wasn’t flexible or understanding at all. Avoid at all costs.

Deserves a zero star

If there was a zero star option, that's what they are worth and deserve. Online pass didn't work, paid a second time, never got reimbursed. Never again. Total scam. Parking in the scum part of town.

A bad experience

I bought a parking pass to "Garage A" with ParkWhiz through StubHub. ParkWhiz didn't provide me with a parking pass to Garage A. Instead, they provided me with a parking pass to "Garage B," which was much less expensive and further from my destination than Garage A. Furthermore, ParkWhiz wasn't explicit about this. It felt like they were trying to trick me into accepting the pass to Garage B. It felt like a scam. Fortunately StubHub helped me out and ended up refunding my money.

I have used the app three times

I have used the app three times. The first worked out well. The second was overbooked and I lost over an hour working my way out of the overbooked 7-story parking garage and finding another parking location. I missed much of the game I bought expensive tickets to attend. Obviously, simply refunding the parking fee does not compensate for this.

Last night, the location I booked through Parkwhiz was unable to even scan the QR code (it doesn’t even have the correct scanner). Although the garage was supposed to be attended, it took some time to get assistance, missed much of the game, and took some time to get out of the garage. I will be deleting this app.

Unresponsive except during dispute with Credit Card

Paid for parking at US Open in Oakmont but could not access on my device. Tried Parkwhiz chat, email and text and totally unresponsive. Filed for refund on my credit card and opened up a claim. Parkwhiz suddenly becomes hyper-responsive to the credit card company and disputes my refund with all guns ablazing. They suck.

Please DO NOT trust this company

Please DO NOT trust this company. You will end up thinking you made a good decision buying parking ahead of time and you’ll end up walking 30 minutes to your destination. To the CEO: if you’re gonna scam, at least be good at it, CHUMP. Never ever ever ever again.

Don't Bother.

Would give zero stars if I could.
Booked a space outside the venue, but the place was full on arrival. Has to park elsewhere. Now having to battle ParkWhiz to obtain a refund.
Dubious about the next booking I have with them for another concert venue.....

More than 2x the cost of other sites!

I was going to a concert and wanted to ensure I had a parking spot ahead of time. I booked a spot on ParkWhiz for $63. I thought it was expensive, but downtown parking during events always is. The app advertised up to 50% cheaper than drive up rates.

I later got an email from the concert venue with information in it, including links to book parking. I clicked it out of curiosity and the cost was $40 cheaper.

I immediately tried to cancel, but unfortunately it said my booking was unable to be canceled despite being over 24 hours before the event.

I sent an email asking for a price adjustment.

The drive up rate was also $15 cheaper.

It took the company over 2 weeks to reply to my email, to which they replied that no price adjustment could be made because they cant predict the drive up cost. They also said I could have canceled my booking up to the minute of my time.

I replied that they obviously didn't fully read my email because I wasn’t given the option to cancel and the price comparison I was making was to another online price, not the drive up price.

They refused to give me a price adjustment, stating their company offers "peace of mind" in securing a spot. So if you want "peace of mind" while also paying more than double what other companies charge, go for it!

I paid ParkWhiz through Ticketmaster

I paid ParkWhiz through Ticketmaster, followed the rules and received a notice that I had to pay PRRS $97. I believe it's a scam. I sent pictures of my payment and called PRRS who were not very helpful but said to wait 14 days for them to resolve the issue. By then, they may have already placed my account for collection.

DO NOT USE PARKWHIZ, find a better place to park

They took my money the day before I…

They took my money the day before I needed to park downtown. When I tried to leave the public parking garage, the attendant told me they don't even accept parkwhiz and that I'd have to pay again so I could leave. Beware using this APP. I will never use it again.

Never Again

Paid 22.50 online in advance for concert parking for a concert that started at 7:30. When I booked parking it said you could cancel without issue up until starting time. Tried entering parking garage at 7:02. Denied entry at garage and message stated that “early” entry not authorized. They knew the concert start time. Looked around and most parking in the area was $10. I actually found great parking for $5 and tried to cancel at about 7:15 to get my $22.50 back. The app said I couldn’t cancel which is contrary to what I was told at booking. The $22.50 was a total loss. This “company” feels really scammy. There are far better services out there and next time I will use them. I will never use these clowns again. Still made the concert in time. Better parking garage much closer and way cheaper! Screw me once, shame on you!
