Information provided by various external sources

Patients Know Best (PKB) is Europe’s largest personal health record platform, enabling patients and healthcare professionals to access real-time health information - anytime, anywhere. As the world’s first patient-controlled personal health records system, PKB facilitates borderless, integrated care wherever the patient needs it. That means any healthcare provider, whether in another area of the country or another part of the world, can immediately access all the information they need to support improved clinical decision making and the best patient care. Everything from test results, care plans, real-time monitoring data and discharge summaries, to the patient’s own data - either uploaded from their journal, wearable devices or using symptom tracking, are all available in one patient record. This also reduces the need for professionals to request background information from the patient’s regular healthcare team. In 2020, PKB became the first personal health record (PHR) to integrate with England’s national health platform - the NHS App. This extends the NHS App’s current features and sharing of GP data, to allow patients to access PKB’s full health and care record and functionality, direct from the national NHS interface. Email address mixup

I am very impressed with the time and care that Tara put into solving my log in problems. It took at least five attempts to finally solve the main problem, with lots of patience on her part and I can only say a big thankyou.

Assuming patients access info on line

Received an email 2 days ago inviting me to use Patients know best so today I logged in and found a message for today for an appointment at 11am ,30 odd miles away , 4 months of waiting ( it was 11.15 am when I read this). Not had any other notification of this, no information about the hospital ( it's one I never been to and is not anywhere near where I live).
So when the NHS is complaining about their time being wasted perhaps they need to look to their own systems first! They also need to consider not everyone is able to access online information or the ability to travel to hospitals miles away.

Absolute joke

Unfortunately it didnt allow me to give no stars, all I wanted to do was input my daily blood pressure readings. No instructions, no help from my Gp. I am quite tech savy but this is appalling. In the end I told my Gp I would bring my results in and they can input them just like I've always done. Such a simple thing to record, but impossible to work out how. Even Google Ai was confused and gave me a 20 step way of recording it in the app. And I am expected to do this twice a day. No thank you.

Reply from Patients Know Best

Hi Kevin,

I’m sorry this was a frustrating experience.

Blood pressure readings can be added directly in PKB via Health > Measurements, or shared with your PKB record from supported connected devices. You'll find guidance for both routes in our user manual: https://wiki.hub.patientsknowbest.com/wiki/spaces/MAN/pages/3623944318/Devices

Some devices, such as Omron, need to be set up from the device app rather than from PKB itself, so the exact guidance depends on how the readings are being submitted.

I appreciate you have already arranged to provide the readings to your GP another way on this occasion. If you need help with this in the future, please reach out to our support team, they can help confirm which route applies and point you to the relevant instructions.

Best wishes,
Lisa

Lack of Patient involvement

Well, the name says it all, but have they told the NHS this? An often muddled site competing it seems with NHS App, My chart, Chat GP, Patches etc, all leads to
confusion which is not surprising.
Lack of Patient involvement is a one of many problems
but what can you do with an organisation that expects some staff to work their hearts out and others to do next to zero.

Dreadful website

Dreadful website.
Can't register, can't log on, can't select the hospital I had treatment at,can't access anything.
Password reset requested multiple times, no emails received.
Just go round and round in circles.
Very poor as waiting on results for cancer treatment.
