The service is appalling.

There is either no answer when you call them or it diverts to ansaphone.
Reading the particulars, the grammar is appalling and it seems they do not check their spelling. There is not one set of particulars that does not have a spelling mistake!

I requested a viewing for a property that they are finding it difficult to sell, its virtually across the road and I have to wait almost week! Given the fact that there is hardly ever anyone in the Office, you think they would close to show me around this empty Apartment. Clearly, I would like to buy this property through Peter Alan in Dinas Powys - but I would NEVER sell through them!

Do not take face value on their reviews in Google, I'm reading more relatable experiences here. I've had a landlord enter the property without proper notice. They've lied so much I can barely keep track, they've lied to local shared regulatory services. Their own documentation they provided when we took on the contract contradicts their later lies, they are sneaky and very dishonest. Had to get the legal invovlement, pay solicitor fees, the ombudsman, environmental health and information commissioners office. The last one where they have falsely documented thing about us on their notes to cover themselves. Despite this all being evidenced you still cannot get any acknowledgement its like dealing with narcissists or an abusive person, just in letting agent form. I hope they get what is coming to them, it's people like this and landlords they do business with is why people are being taken advantage of and the property market is such a mess. They knew we had had an horrendous experience prior to this, the landlord later left us with broken windows for months. I'd be dead if I held my breath for some degree of responsibility on their part, that's if the stress or mould don't finish me off first.

Our experience has been fantastic. Couldn’t fault the manager Brenda. She’s been so helpful and very quick with any responses to any queries. Very quick in organising the paper work for us to move in as soon as possible.
Chloe was also very helpful and helped answer any questions and ensured the paper work was sent over as quickly as possible.
Did have an issue with the boiler but the issue was resolved within a few hours.
Fantastic team and hopefully it continues. Very happy with the service and it’s a beautiful house.

Watch out for their selling fee's

Overvalued our house by 50k then put in the contract Peter Alan will take 1.5% of the original asking price regardless of how much the house sells for.
One viewing in 8 months & no offers.
Don't expect a reply to phone calls or emails either.

Avoid

If you get a response you are very lucky! If you get a polite response you are privileged!
Sales progression is poor to say the least. Constant chasing with little response provided, or when a response is received it is extremely rude!
Messages left constantly!
Would not recommend.

Very disorganised and poor communication. Advised us to use an auction company who were even worse than them Got out of contract as soon as able

Been renting for over 9 months with this company in Morriston , Swansea. No maintenance issues getting fixed from cookers to washing machines to water leaks. Multiple calls to staff, very unhelpful and unable to assist

Peter Alan Lettings in Pontyclun and their Cardiff office are an absolute disgrace. They have withheld our deposit and also doctored documents regarding inventory to make it look as though we had received a copy of an inventory when we didn't. Dont expect to be paid your deposit back from them until the death of the 10th day and that is after their constant excuses and delays before they even agree to give you back money, then their excuses of needing proof you actually paid them money. The complaints process is a joke and I would never recommend anyone to use their letting services and god help you if your deposit is with them under an insured TDS scheme!

Don't use if you value your sanity or money. Absolutely disgraceful renting experience- call centre is full of young kids who usually on "another call and will call you back" doesn't happen. Don't believe any good hype (I'm taking legal advice about some issues) total let down. Their very good at taking the money but useless if you're a tenant or landlord. Would never never use again for renting.

My interaction with Peter Alan in Swansea was profoundly disappointing. Their customer service is shockingly inadequate; they consistently evade calls once payment is secured. Despite an agreed-upon tenant-finding price, they haphazardly increased the charge, altered my utilities contract without consent, causing ongoing issues with energy bills. Attempts to rectify the situation were met with uncooperative responses, claiming my details weren't on record. Additionally, rent deposits were inexplicably delayed for over 4 weeks. Managing my property with Peter Alan was an overall unpleasant and frustrating experience.

Mates been made to stay in an inhabitable house with infestation not being taken seriously. Insane health risks and lack of action within 24hrs and legal advice sought after. Horrific company do not recommend letting with them

Mortgage advisor really looked down her nose at us and was very rude and shouty. We went with a different broker in the end, will not use Peter Alan again. Had 105k in savings and house was 295k. Took multiple attempts to get her to understand our situation, and she still entered the numbers wrong. Waste of time and unpleasant experience.

Shocking communication from the Lettings department. They’re quick to let you know about rent increases, but won’t help you sort out any issues that make the property unfit for habitation. This is against the RentSmartWales guidelines and we will be taking this further as they clearly can’t follow specified guidance.

We’ve just sold our house with Peter Alan Albany Road. They’ve done an amazing job from start to finish.
We used their conveyancing solicitors who have been really supportive and communication is excellent.
We needed to use the mortgage progressor Mel several times and she really went above and beyond to help and advise.
Would definitely use them again.

Not great for landlords. They say they will sort an issue, charge the landlord but don’t actually get the work done. Then the tenants get upset and withhold rent. Neither tenants or landlord are managed well.
It’s not clear who manages the property as no one speaks to each other in their office. Lots of turnover of staff.
You need to keep your eyes on what is going on with them. I don’t recommend

Do they even know how to answer a phone? They don't know their ass from their elbow, terrible service.

Hi there, I just want to get my honest opinion to help other landlords I had 4 houses with Peter Alan , they have been completely useless, & added more and more stress of non-stressful situation ! I’ve moved my houses now to Landlord, letting agents is the best thing I’ve ever done with half the fees & stress 90% of the time you can’t get hold of them, and when you do, they’re completely useless anyway except for one girl who is amazing she’s the best there by 500%Her name is Lily Dawson, she works in Culver house cross in Cardiff id giver her 5star i personally think she should find somewhere else to work because they are rubbish & she deserves better & is too good to work in a dump like Peter Alan p.s avoid letting your house with this rubbish company at all costs !!!!!
