Just avoid. After getting into the train station after midnight after train delays last thing I wanted to be doing is chasing a taxi driver around Peterborough car park.

Driver turns into pick up area continues to turn around and drives out into the adjacent stay carpark. I was waving my hands to get his attention but avoided me at all costs. I went to the adjacent car park with all my luggage in tow and he simply says its been cancelled. This was laughably as he was there and so was I. The driver cancelled the fare. My best guess the journey wasnt long enough. I was too tired and stressed to argue, so I got a black cab who was more than happy to take my fare.

My last three experiences with them have been awful.

My first bad experience was being over charged. I was waiting outside a property. I watched the car drive past, turn around then pull up. It wasn’t until I got home that I realised I’d been charged extra for keeping the driver waiting.

My second bad experience was when the cab never arrived. I called the office and they said the car was waiting outside. Obviously it wasn’t otherwise I wouldn’t have called them.

My third bad experience was last night when the car arrived earlier than expected. Out of courtesy I had a quick chat with the driver and explained that I would be out shortly. I went back inside to put my coat on and when I returned the driver had left. Adding insult to injury he charged me for not being ready.

Very disappointing service from a company I have been using for several years.

I have been using them for a while now.
Somedays i have no problems with them, they have drivers that are very polite and efficient and other times they have drivers that are absolutely rude, on the phone as they drive talking to other people the whole drive. Payments are now taken out my bank twice for whatever reason! And they won’t let you go until you pay them the second time. This company is just going downhill. I got told to prebook so i have a taxi outside my door in time. I booked a service for 8am and it got to mine at 8:15… this shouldn’t be acceptable.

I ordered a taxi with Peterborough Cars, I use them all the time. I booked it through the app but did not pay through it. The booking was £8.50 and I was waiting in the pick up location at the point of making the booking.

When I got to my house the driver charged me £10.60. Upon inspection he'd fraudulently charged me for 6 minutes waiting, yet id been there waiting and had sat in the car immediately when he arrived.

This is a worry as it does make you wonder how many people who have consumed alcohol this individual or possibly others do it to? They may not question £2 or so however across many trips the drivers or company are making alot of money?

I'm yet to see if this will be ressolved, the customer services advisor said i'll get a refund. They've never given me reason before to question the company.

Complaint about a booked cab abandoning us for another fare never resolved despite several contacts with various people and multiple promises. Avoid. Will never use again.

Cannot fault the service when using Peterborough Taxis for the recent Burghley Proms - which can be manic finding the taxi you ordered. Both drivers on journey there and back were helpful, pleasant, on time and in particular the driver on return journey waited patiently when we got stuck in the crowds. Wouldn't hesitate to use them again!

Driver insisting on cash payment, saying if I don't have cash no problem there is an ATM.
Bear in mind this is a train station drop off and very little time to catch train, I questioned, how is it possible that he can't process my card payment when he was perfectly fine to take the booking via the app?

I went to get the cash, I was extremely annoyed so I need not say I slammed the door in hurry.

He kept beeping at me afterwards, and when I handed him the money, he wassaying how dare I shut the door like that and carried on beeping as I walked off.

Booked a taxi the other evening and waited at the location. The driver drove straight past me. I received a voicemail (as well as many calls later) and returned the call and left a message to the driver where I was waiting. I then called your office number (many times) and was advised by an automated service that my booking was cancelled. I paid by card on the app for the booking of £7.00. I was offered to rebook the booking. A different taxi arrived.

Once I arrived at my destination the driver asked for payment. I advised him that I paid by card on the app and what had happened. He said that was another driver and want my money as it was a cash payment. I explained yet again that it was not my fault that the previous driver just drove straight past me and did not call me back. He was extremely rude and said that's not my problem I want my money as the card payment would have been sent to the other driver.

I am absolutely disgusted by the way I was treated by this driver and did not apologise for the issue that I had. Reluctantly I paid this rude driver the cash as I felt threatened by him and have never been treated in this manner by anyone before.

Will not use this company ever again and will certainly not recommend them.

I cannot thank them enough, very honest and helpful. I left a birthday gift bag in one of there cars and the driver found it and kept it safe and handed it in to the office for me to collect. Been using them for years and will definitely continue. Thank you again.

Use them for years booked a taxi for my 14 year old daughter paid on the app when she got in the car they told her the payment had not gone through made her pay on a contactless machine and they promised to refund 3 times over 10 days now I have got involved I see the payment has gone to the driver direct
This is theft and reported to the police the drive took advantage of a 14 year old female and took her pocket money

Booked and paid for taxi on the app using Apple Pay. Price quoted and authorised through Apple Pay was £8.50. After the journey was complete I saw a refund go through Apple Pay on my phone for £8.50 and a further charge for £9, when I phoned and queried this I was advised I was charged 50p extra for taking 1 minute (1 MINUTE!) to come out to the car. I advised them I had not authorised them to take £9 and wished to raise a complaint, I’ve heard nothing further but managed to get the 50p back though a visa dispute through my bank. Nothing on the app when booking to say anything about this ‘waiting fee’ absolute scammers. Won’t be using again after having used them for years. Careful people!

I used call a cab today to go to Omemee and they charged over $ 100.00, about double what they quoted. I will never use there company again, so Daryl Bennet can buy another bottle of Cognac or buy an election.

Genuinely lovely service, great drivers and friendly staff in the office.
This morning, I left my keys in one of the vehicles and the staff and the driver were so helpful and got my keys back to me!

Absolutely appalling service from this company yesterday evening. Booked and paid for my return journey via the app, but when we got to our home destination the driver said we needed to pay cash. We advised that we had paid via the app and showed the driver the app booking and payment. When the driver called the office to clarify, the office staff asked to speak to us and was rude beyond belief, patronising, and constantly talked over us! We are absolutely disgusted by the office staff's tone and attitude. We will not by using this company again!

Fraudulent payment taken when promised a refund, Do Not Use Peterborough Cars.
Did a prebooking on app, taxi sent immediately, had to cancel and rebook and pay cash.
Promised refund of £8.50, instead they charged me £5 for a no show without my knowledge or authorisation.
Called them and told to send email, very poor customer service on phone, just not bothered.
I would strongly advise anyone against using this company.

Do not use them. I was scammed of £8.50. Elected to pay by card through the app. Taxi turned up, but driver had 'accidentally' cancelled the trip, which, according to him, meant I would be refunded. He gave me a sob story about the company not paying him if he'd cancelled the trip, so I felt bad and also paid in cash. I am yet to receive a refund despite calls, emails etc. Awful company, just use Uber.

Ive used Peterborough cars for years. However in recent months their service has become terrible. Pre booked taxis upwards of 30 minutes late. Rude drivers, eta constantly changing, being double charged on the odd occasion.

I hate to say it but they're losing my respect and custom.

Used the App to book the outbound journey. The driver apologised for being early and was very polite.

We tracked the car and the driver phoned to say he had arrived, my husband answered the phone as quickly as he could: however the driver drove off 30 seconds later. This is the third time this has happened - nothing like feeling stranded. We will not use this company again
