Sonicare - serious design fault
A design fault in the Sonicare handle (the pin that holds the brush becomes loose) has meant I've needed several replacement sets after the first purchase. After contacting Customer Services today, it seems that the warranty is only for the first-time purchase. Any replacement handle isn't covered, so it's at their discretion whether to replace. All items supplied should be fit for purpose but aren't. Clearly, they need to fix the design fault as several other people have the same complaint. I'm out of pocket with brush heads I can't use but more importantly it's an environmental disaster with so many unusable and unreturnable gadgets lying around. Philips - do better!
Toothbrushes have broken on me multiple…
Toothbrushes have broken on me multiple times within 1-2 years. They don't honor the warranty. They issue discount codes that don't work. They have horrible customer service and majority of them in canada don't speak English so they don't understand you.
Learn how to make epilators!
I think that Philips should just stick to shavers and leave epilation to others. I made the mistake of buying the BRE710/01 Epilator Series 8000. This "epilator" is a waste of money. It has two completely useless heads to go with its harsh pincers which are too fast and too rough, and it doesn't even have a pain softener. It gave me a rash on my arm. I regret buying this product.
1000$ down the drain.
Just spent 1000$ on an espresso maker, the reviews seemed like a red flag but in my experience it's hard to go off of those sometimes. The machine looks high quality and aesthetically pleasing. In the matter of 2 months (1 month of actual use as I work out of town) the machine started having extremely low water drop pressure and it would start filling the drip tray quite quickly. Also it sounded like the water pump on the machine wanted to nearly jump out of the machine and explode. This is a reasonable issue after years of use I suppose, my 200$ Keurig went 7 years still no issues... So I contacted customer service to diagnose the issue. Took 3 different people before they said it needs to go back for warranty repairs. So I waited for the email that is suppose to include a shipping label and instructions with where it needs to go. That was over a month ago. I emailed them again questioning where this email is and no reply at all. Biggest waste of money I've ever spent and the best part is they won't refund it either. Be aware of the horrible customer service before spending your money with this company. I would assume all the departments are the same.
$1000 + coffee machine stolen from me
Unbelievable that a company this size has one of the worst customer services I’ve seen to date! The agents who answer the phones are polite but all you get is nice platitudes and zero help. Their upper management is an absolute joke! They told me to send my brand new $1000+ machine that arrived used back to them and they would replace it immediately. It’s now been almost 3 weeks since they RECEIVED my old machine and there is no sign of my new machine! I’ve requested to speak with a manager 4 times and everytime despite clear promises, no body calls or emails. Their product specialist person Ismail has been MIA despite multiple emails and calls. It honestly feels like a scam company from oversees! 3 weeks, tens of hours on hold and I still have no idea where my machine is!
Hard to believe this is Philips!! I would NEVER EVER buy a single product from them. You get better customer service from walmart!
Overpriced products and bad quality
Bought their 400€ Hi-fi micro system to listen to music and radio. The micro system have problems with sound already and I have it only 2 weeks. The sound issue was fixed but now it has problems with bluetooth. When i connect my phone to it it just keep rebooting itself.
No two pronged charging lead is supplied-highly inconvenient
I bought two shavers, one a travel model. The home shaver is a real pain to charge as it did not come with a two pronged lead which is what is in most bathrooms.
Instead I have to walk to a different room which has a charging point. We should be given a choice.
Awful horrible!
Awful horrible!
We paid $800 for a coffee maker which came broken. They were not helpful provided no helpful support everything took a long time and even when they had their
Machine back they did juice a replacement or a refund. It was a Christmas gift and they had zero regard for anyone !
Wildly unclear what the differences are between the different series.
The prices of the top end models have gone through the roof, up on £500!
Took a look, became irritated - I don’t care about sculpted handles, wet shaving or gadgets and accessories. Trying to find a no-nonsense decent quality mid-price model was going to involve more research/hassle than I could be bothered with.
And then there are the reviews consistently saying “Not as good as they used to be’, ‘won’t hold a charge’ and ‘feels cheap’.
Apparently, too, these newer models require a great deal of maintenance. Boring, time-consuming levels of maintenance.
And the cheaper models look cheap, tempting you up the range to silly prices, whereupon, at £200-500 for an electric shaver, I just get up and walk away.
Philips has completely lost the plot. Whatever I choose, it won’t be a Philips, even though it is a Philips I’ve used for nearly 40 years.
Non existent customer service and terrible quality products
I’ll never buy a Philips product again. Bought a handheld garment steamer 10 months ago. It never worked well, but steam comes out of it so despite me showing them a video of it failing to get any creases out of material they said it “wasn’t faulty”. Online person was rude enough to ask why I hadn’t complained earlier (as if it’s unfathomable that people might have competing priorities, like being unwell). Then they refused to disclose their name or their manager’s name because I guess accountability isn’t their jam. I guess I wouldn’t want to be held accountable either if I was that bad at my job.
Philips
Philips, for such a big company, you’d be shocked at how bad their customer service is- has a shaver under warranty but customer service would not help via chat or call.
I bought a Philips B7305 2.1 channel…
I bought a Philips B7305 2.1 channel soundbar and it was the WORST purchase of my life! This soundbar is total garbage! It barely has any volume and is very distorted! Dumb me threw the box away! Walmart will not refund without a box! Stay away from Philips products!
Save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere.
I am beyond disappointed with both the product and "customer service." I ordered the Baristina espresso machine and received a unit that was clearly a return, missing the essential portafilter, directions, paperwork and free Black Friday gift I was promised. I contacted customer service immediately and spent over 90 minutes on the phone, only to be told there was no way to expedite a replacement, even though I needed it for an event this weekend.
Despite my willingness to return the defective machine that day, and even pay for expedited shipping, they refused to help or provide a solution that met my needs. Their only suggestion was to wait for a replacement that wouldn't even ship until next week—completely unacceptable given the circumstances.
After searching online, I discovered that many others have experienced similar issues: missing parts, defective products, and dismissive customer service. This isn't an isolated case—it's a pattern, and it shows a shocking lack of care or accountability.
Not only did I have to scramble to find a replacement espresso machine elsewhere, but I also wasted time, energy, and money on a company that clearly does not prioritize its customers. I would strongly advise anyone considering this product or company to think twice.
It's been three days and they still have not issued a return label I have been asking for. I just want to send the machine back, and never deal with them again.
2 x Sonicare Failure.
2 x Sonicare Failure.
My wife has had two Sonicare toothbrushes both of which have broken inexplicably. They have not lasted a reasonable length of time. Customer service contact options are lacking.
Razor S3145. Philips is selling razors that don't…
Philips is selling razors that don't have a power supply. In other words they're selling razors that you can't charge unless you buy one separately. The box doesn't indicate such information.
Had no reply after writing several times to their media links on their internet site.
Sell faulty items and refuse to fix them within warranty
Horrific customer service! Bought a television in March, reported it Defective in June, they sent an engineer to "repair" the television last week (November) but due to it being wall mounted they refused to fix it and told me I would have to pay to have it uninstalled from the wall.
Now they just keep closing the case. Efficiency they are refusing to fix/replace a broken unit they manufactured.
Avoid all phillips products and buy a better brand instead as they don't honor the warranty if anything goes wrong, absolute cowboys!
We as a family have purchased 3 Philips…
We as a family have purchased 3 Philips Sonicare toothbrushes (for total price >$650 in just a little over 6 years. They all fail just a bit after warranty period of 24 months. The Philips Consumer Care Chat assistance was useless and the agent ended up disconnecting after making us go through all the troubleshooting steps for over 2 hours and not fixing anything.
He offered a free brushhead with a new purchase as consolation. I thought that was a joke. I asked if he though it was fair for us to buy 4th toothbrush after we had 4 previous fail each a little after 2 years of purchase of a toothbrush that costs more than $220. I explained, if I am going to buy a new expective toothbrush and pay again it will not be from Philips. He disconnected the chat.
So would I recommend Philips? No.
TERRIBLE SERVICE!
TERRIBLE SERVICE!! My toothbrush broke after 2 months, sent it in for repair with warranty, and 3 months after that I hadn't heard anything from Philips. I was told by the repair centre that they didnt even have the toothbrush anymore and it was with Philips. Philips told me they don't have my toothrbush on record and that they would escalate it and contact me within 1-2 days. They never contacted me until I rang them again. They then said they don't have my toothbrush in stock and so I'll have to wait for it to come back in stock or be given a different product that I didn't want. I was given no compensation for my time without my toothbrush and lack of communication, so I asked for a refund and they said they will give me a refund because it is an "exceptional circumstance" but they don't usually give refunds. DO NOT BUY FROM PHILIPS!!!!
Bought for life
I bought my beard shaver 18 years ago (Oct. 2006, I still have my receipt, no model visible, 60 euros back then). Minimal maintenance, survived me moving house 9 times or more. Probably not the smoothest shave in the market but good enough for me. Battery still chargeable although I haven't tested how long does it last. Of course this *might* not reflect their current product quality, but I really hope it does because I love sturdy appliances.
Sonicare toothbrush broke after 3 months
Sonicare toothbrush broke after 3 months. Philips will not replace unless I give them my personal phone number (they have email address & details). They also make process difficult by poorly printing Serial No. (2111 09-2C) on unit base.
