SCAMMERS!!!!
I found phones2pounds through the comparison site SellMyMobile.com - who state they work with “carefully vetted recycling partners”. Unfortunately I was foolish enough to trust phones2pounds based on this, and didn't research any further.
They offered the best price of £166 for my 64gb iPhone 11. I sent it to them promptly, and a few days later was emailed a “revised offer” of £75 due to the phone being cracked. They attached pictures of a phone with multiple scratches, scuffs, and a crack on the back. The phone I sent was in really good condition and did not have any cracks or deep scratches. They are lying and defrauding people into accepting a much lower offer.
To my astonishment, a Twitter search of phones2pounds brings up complaints as far back as 2014, of which SellMyMobile have been made aware of. I am honestly baffled how this company are still trading. They are liars and fraudsters. They must be faking reviews on here to keep up their score and drown out the negative ones.
I have reported these cowboys to the police and trading standards. I will be pursuing a case with the small claims court if they do not return my handset in the condition it was sent to them.
SCAM SCAM SCAM!
SCAM SCAM SCAM!! I sent in a perfect iPhone 12 and they sent back that it was damaged with cracks all over the back of the phone. I asked for photo evidence and video evidence to prove the phone with IMEI number and have had no response since!
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Exactly the same as other reviews I sent in a perfectly good iPhone 11 offered me £166 when they received phone they said it had a screen burn on it(which it did not) reduced my price to £75 I declined and they upped it again to £130, couldn’t be bothered with the hassle so accepted. They sent me an email to say money had been sent 4 days ago still not received! Sent email yesterday to ask where it was and they’re blaming it on their 3rd party payees saying they’re having system problems and assuring me that the system should be up and running by Monday! I worked in a bank for 15 years it doesn’t take that long to sort out, my opinion is the company are either SCAMMERS or having money problems. Don’t use them save the hassle as they have had my phone for almost 10 days now!
Lowball Scam. Avoid.
Seems like a scam. Sent in my near perfect phone and they’ve sent back a quote 2/3 of what they offered originally claiming there’s impact damage. Waiting for them to return my phone now but if it’s not in the exact condition I sent it in will be opening a case with trading standards.

As per others I also sent an immaculate phone, got knocked down and asked for phone to be sent back, they revised offer, after tooing and frowing we accepted an offer but we have no phone and no money, taking them to trading standards and to Martin Lewis, DO NOT USE!! 0 STARS
Very concerned I sent my mobile in and…
Very concerned I sent my mobile in and got a reduced offer. Accepted this,2 weeks ago and was sent a payment on route email and to date I have not received anything. When I enquired with Phones 2 pounds I received a further email to be advised they were having issues with 3rd party provider paying my payment but that I would be paid last Monday. No payment received. I feel that perhaps my phone has been fraudulently obtained by this company with no intention by them of making payment?. Trading Standards will be my next point of call.
Very worried
Very worried went via sell you mobile comparison site, sent my mobile it was received last Friday got a reduced offer on Monday. Accepted this, got payment on route email and to date not received anything. Then I got a further email to advise they were having issues with 3rd party provider paying my payment. This is a worry and don’t know what to do now.

THEY DESERVE NO STARS
I sent my phone to these scammers, the phone was in immaculate condition without any signs of wear and tear, Once they received the phone they then sent me picture of what was quite clearly a different device to the one that I had sent them with scratches on it, they then tried to knock the original price down by £100. I ask them to return my phone, after several emails, thye returned my phone with a damaged screen. Just to make matters worse, I contacted Royal mail, to make a claim for the damage, Royal Mail said I would have to contact them, and they would put a claim in on my behalf. They reluctantly said they had submitted a claim and when I ask for the claims reference number, they told me that Royal Mail didn't give them a claims reference number, just a tracking number. I knew they were lying so I contacted Royal Mail again who said anyone who submits a claim, are always issued with a claims reference number. I contacted them again, and they said that if I return my phone back to them, they would fix it free of charge. I obviously declined there offer, as although, I had a smashed damage phone, there was no way on earth, I would be silly enough to return it back to them. They made believe that they were doing me a favour, and tried to convince me that, all I would be getting from Royal Mail is £100, I replied and said, I had already taken a loss, and ask them to pay me for the damage. They agreed and had the audacity to ask for a screen shot with the IEMI no. of prove of the damaged phone. I replied back and sent the information that they ask for, and also stated in my response, that when they sent images of my phone with so called scratches on it, why did they not send a screen shot of the IEMI no.??????.
This company has tricked, lied and scammed lots of people. I have also contacted Trading standards, as they are advertising on Martin Lewis website. Con Artist.. THEY MUST BE STOPPED. THIS FIASCO BEGAN FOR ME ON 19th December 2022.
You cant speak to anyone, as you get a recording claiming they are short of staff DUE TO COVID
AVOID USING AS THEY ARE POOR
We used these via a comparison site, They offered the most money but that is where the service stopped, upon receiving the phone they sent us pictures say the phone was in POOR condition and then offered a very low amount, I complained and then they re-appraised it to Good but still offered me less money, so I asked for phone back, they stated allow 72hrs, so on Day 4 I asked again and then they did send it back, when the phone arrived I simply cleaned it with a cloth and as if by magic all the marks they pointed out had gone, very questionable and very poor service, would never recommend to any one !! AVOID EVERY TIME
DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE!!
DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE!!! If i could give zero stars i would. Sent my phone and they sent me a bad picture trying to say my phone had a scratch and dropped the offer considerably, i refused the offer and nearly two weeks later still haven't received my phone back. Tried emailing no response tried calling and machine says cant take my call absolute scammers!!
Do not use this company
Do not use this company. I sent them an iPhone in perfect condition. They sent a photo of my phone trying to say it was in bad condition when the picture is clearly perfect and they also attached a picture of a completely different device not even the same model which was scratched, trying to say they were both my phone. Complete scammers.
Sent my Iphone XR
Sent my Iphone XR - offered me £120 online then sent a new price saying £72
which I've still not been paid for

Shocking Company DO NOT USE THEY ARE A SCAM
Sent my iPhone 12 Pro Max in perfect condition. Got an email saying it had excessive scratches and reduced my offer from £432 to £250.
I questioned this and they increased it slightly.
Told them no and to send my phone back. They then asked how much I’d like for it. I said £350 minimum. They increased to £330 I think. I declined and told them to send the phone back. They then increased it to the £350.
I asked them to send the phone back. But stupidly accepted the £350.
The payment should have come the same day.
It did not
I emailed and asked why it hadn’t and when would it come. They relied and said there was a system error and would be resolved the next week.
1 week later, no response to my email. No payment no answer on the phone
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE NOT GENUINE AND HAVE ESSENTIALLY STOLEN MY PHONE.
Update - tried calling them. The number returns a message from them saying they are not available and to email.
