Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Evaluating 139 reviews, most reviewers were somewhat happy with their experience overall. Customers frequently praise the staff for their welcoming, friendly, and attentive service, which often makes visits enjoyable and memorable. Many people appreciate the excellent attitude of team members who go above and beyond to ensure a positive dining experience. The food is often described as delicious, tasty, and fresh. However, some customers were not happy with service, reporting instances of being ignored, long waits, or unhelpful staff. A few other people also felt product quality had declined, citing issues such as dry, unseasoned, or cold food, and pizzas that were smaller with fewer toppings. Additionally, some reviewers mentioned concerns about cleanliness or undesirable seating.

Have visited Sidcup Pizza Express twice on a Saturday lunch time: 7/3 and 21/2. Food is good, when it arrives. The branch is understaffed given the number of customers that arrive. The problem is with... See more

Even the managers don't have a clue!

Went to the Skipton restaurant, asked about the Teens offer of pizza and soft drink for £12, were told by the lady service us that it was fine.
Ordered the food, which was very tasty.
When it came time to pay, we were given the table number but the offer didn't appear in the app. Asked the staff member serving us about it and she said the manager had to apply it.
After a five minute wait the manager came over and said we didn't qualify because it only applied to diet soft drinks and we got Coca Cola Original.
I argued that, since we'd asked about the offer, the lady serving us should have told us when we ordered original Coke that it didn't qualify and eventually the manager put the offer through.
Submitted feedback (not a complaint) via their website only to receive an email from a senior customer service adviser stating that we should have fully checked the terms and conditions of any offers before ordering.
They sent through a link to the Ts & Cs on the website - interestingly it says it does include regular Coke so the staff member was correct in not saying anything to us and the manager was wrong.
If the management don't know the deals then there's something very wrong - and to argue with the customer about something they've not even checked themselves is a disgrace.
Will be a long time before we visit one of their restaurants again.

Southampton West quays

We visited West Quay Southampton 21 St Feb booked for 6pm. Arrived at 6.10 within the booking time Waited 5 mins to get a table ,waited 15 mins to get an order taken this was only after approaching the staff.
We were told it closed at 7pm on arrival.
It took another 30 mins for the pizza to arrive.
The woman In Charge came over We thought to apologise that we had to wait so long and as it was virtually closing we were worried and considered just going, but no she was more interested in berating us for asking about the wait. By now it was just before "closing time". So we bolted our pizzas down .. which were dreadful BTW... and left at ten past 7. If they don't want customers after 6pm why is this time slot available to book? Needless to say we won't be going back and that person seriously needs training on customer service.

Pizza Express - Regent Street, Cambridge

Fantastic service received from Roshan who couldn't do enough for us during our recent visit to the restaurant on Regent Street in Cambridge. The restaurant was short staffed due to illness, however he successfully managed a number of tables and was such a pleasant and joyful server!

Haven’t been for a while - great night!!

Haven’t been for a while, but needed to write a review as this visit was exceptionally good.
Chilled atmosphere, nice table, great food (really well made, all dishes were spot on) and super service from Dila!
Honestly, the best dining out I’ve had in Bournemouth centre for a while.
Thank you to the team

I felt scammed after going to Pizza Express Cribbs Causeway

Pizza Express Cribbs Causeway Bristol
I had the most overpriced and worst pizza I have had for a very long time. TBH, the fresh pizzas from Aldi that are under £4 are way better. The pizza dough was dry and like cardboard. I am sure that eating a table mat would be a more pleasurable experience. The tomato sauce was unseasoned and tiny blobs of unmelted cheese. The pizzas have also shrunk. It cost an eye watering £18. I felt scammed after going there ****THINK TWICE BEFORE GOING HERE**** I won’t be visiting Pizza Express again.

Never order online -

Don’t order online unless you want to waste your evening. Ordered from Pizza Express Wembley for delivery, the food arrived incomplete. To then log this you have to enter a live chat. With no expectation you will get a refund as it’s not I quote “in their jurisdiction”. So they can just take your money??
They ask if you are able to go and collect the missing food item?! No, that’s why I asked for delivery, doesn’t make sense they can give you the food if you go and collect but not delivered? The receipt clearly showed the cannelloni was missing as it was unticked.
No one to speak to on the phone after further emailing and photos sent, they will refund but await this. What a fiasco, never ever again. Put me off Pizza Express entirely. They don’t care at all - zero customer service.

Appalling service

I ordered a delivery from Pizza Express this evening. My details were taken and my credit card was billed instantly.

An hour and a half later, with no delivery, I contacted Pizza Express who told me that my order had been "auto rejected". But nobody told me. They had my phoned number and my email address but they just left me to wait. And to add insult to injury, apparently it will take 3-5 days to refund me for the service they never provided.

Meadowhall. Sheffield.
I admit the food was good, the place was clean. The staff were pleasant & the service was fine. Prices ridiculous & I mean ridiculous ! We shall NEVER eat here again as I object to paying almost half the food cost for soft drinks ........... CRAZY !

Rip off

Rip off, went here for my son‘s birthday and cashed in some Tesco’s vouchers before arriving as I remember it was super expensive. On arrival was told cannot use the vouchers and any other deal on the menu i.e. the three course meal deal okay so my son then said I have the app can I have the free doubles as part of the conditions – yes but again cannot use the meal deal or any other deal. £210 for a table of five for some pizzas and a round of drinks and then all of the extras they added without even letting us know. For a basic meal, i.e. pizza, how can you charge £210?

Dirty glasses with lip stick on

Dirty glasses with lip stick on, lad wanted just water so asked for tap water and there was bits floating in it. So I refused to order any food. The waiter was a d.i.c.k.h.e.a.d and walked away when I refused to pay for the drink and I told him I wouldn't be ordering any food.
He went and stood with his colleagues waving at me and my family as we left laughing.
