As soon as we walked in we felt that Planters was clean and well laid out. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. The food in the restaurant was excellent.

I would like to complement the young man in Ripples aquatic center name of Alex. He helped me when I asked for help with a pond feature with a very tiny pipe x. He ordered a part which helped the problem then found bigger pipes to eventually attach to a pump x. All the time he had patience with me polite and very very helpful x. Thank you Alex your are a brilliant young man x. Pensioner Annette x.
Disappointed visit to Santas Grotto.
I paid £66 for 2 children and 2 adults and believe the experience was inadequate for the price paid.
I felt we were herded like sheep through the grotto, no atmosphere, very poor engagement from staff and a very public greeting with Santa! Why couldn’t each family see him privately to give a better experience? It felt rushed as others were waiting.
I also overheard the elves telling Mrs Claus there was only one group left after us and she let out a sigh of relief! Come on, there should be 100% professionalism despite perhaps a long day!
The most disgusting thing about the whole experience was the fact that after parting with £66 for the tickets, we had to pay for the photos! I think it is appalling that not one photo was included or we weren’t able to take our own photos! I feel robbed
Visited Planters in Mapperly today with my Grandson and his other Nanny to see Father Christmas
What a magical experience for everyone
From the meeting with Milkshake, making Reindeer Food with Mrs Christmas, meeting the great man himself who I must say was a very authentic looking Father Christmas to the end where we ended up in the toy shop
Everyone took time with the children making it special for them
Congratulations to you all
The only thing which then let it down was the issue with the toilets which I know couldn't be helped and possibly more staff at busy periods in the restaurant
but won't stop me visiting again

The staff in the garden Center and restaurant are always friendly and helpful, nothing is ever too much trouble. Plus there’s a wide range of healthy plants, pet foods and accessories and pets, and the delicatessen stocks a tempting range of foods to buy
Do not come here for any sort of food. The restaurant is over capacity for the staff. Food took an hour to arrive and was only a wrap. Turns out they forgot us
Went to Planters today for Sunday lunch, ordered 4 beef roast dinners, waited 45 to 50 minutes then to be told, beef sold out so alternative was pork, we said yes as we were starving, waited another 10 minutes to be served up with a luke warm dinner - disappointed to say the least!
My daughter and I came for an afternoon tea It was delicious and amazing value for money. The staff was helpful and friendly. My only thing is that maybe a couple of more savoury items on the afternoon tea as with all those cakes it does tend to be abit to sweet after a while. But other than that is was great.
Went to the coffee shop to order 2 teacakes and 2 coffees waited half an hour then when our order arrived they gave it to someone else who only ordered 1 and took
the other one back when our order arrived and we questioned it we was told they were very busy that is no excuse for giving someone our order get dont employ the youngsters get more mature staff
Awful customer service received on several occasions by the Supervisor/Manager Alisha. Rude with 0% care.
Leaning over the till, no acknowledgement that you are there, bad attitude, no manners.
All of my friends & family go to planters regularly & have spent hundreds of pounds, however we will be going elsewhere from now on which is a shame.
Staff training required on how to be a better Supervisor/Manager.
Planters is a nice garden centre, however, their dog policy at weekends needs reviewing. They sell pet supplies, and when you work all week, taking your dog to get a new harness is essential for sizing.
They have a notice saying no dogs at weekends! I have taken ours before, as I wasn’t aware, and wasn’t challenged, but when so many places encourage dogs, they even have a section in the cafe for dogs, they should allow them.
It is fine to take them in the week, but if you aren’t retired, you can’t go; there’s no late night opening.
I urge you to change this policy and make it a more inclusive place. I am convinced you would sell more dog accessories if you did.
We regularly visit Planters after taking our dogs to the water park. We go in the dog section and enjoy our meals. Today we visited and half the main restaurant was closed and people were queuing to get in. Although we had our dogs with us in the queue they were letting the dog area be filled by people without dogs. Therefore even when spaces became available in the coffee area we couldn’t get a table and people were able to overtake us. We ended up leaving without dining. I think a dog area should be reserved for people with dogs under these circumstances
Travelled all the way here knowing it’s a dog friendly garden centre very excited to experience the famous Christmas at planters, only to be faced with a sign saying ‘no dog weekends’. You cannot be dog friendly part time not dog friendly the rest of the time it’s the stupidest thing I’ve heard. Very disappointed will not be visiting again!!
If I could give it less than 1 star I would. We went to buy our Christmas tree and splash out on new lights and decorations only to be told "no dogs allowed in the garden centre at weekends. It's a garden centre for god sake not a fancy shop. Will never come to this place again.
Drove about 70 miles to take my dog to Santa paws (which was a good experience) but very disappointed that they are not allowed in the garden centre at the weekend. Waste of a journey and definitely not dog friendly. It made the Santa paws look just like a money making scheme for them
This place is APPALLING, we’ve took our puppy to see Santa and instead of informing us via email that we would not be allowed into the shop or restaurant they only informed us of the covid procedures, which were wearing masks and having temperatures taken, none of these were done. We had a friend come from Gloucester with her dog and we were planning on eating in the restaurant and looking around the shop, we were not allowed, no explanation just attitude. Santa was fantastic with the dogs and that’s the only positive I have. Where we buy the photos from was a DISGRACE, the photo pack advertised 3 photos and a key ring, we only received 2 photos and when we questioned it they told us we were wrong, it was in writing what we were supposed to get. When we took our feedback to the management they handed us a scrap piece of paper which was RIPPED when we turned our backs.
Dreadful that you are selling small animals. You have no idea who is buying your rabbits..... Try going through rescuing a rabbit bought on a whim from a shop, living in a tiny cage, fed cat biscuits and bagels, then threatened to be fed to 2 huge dobermans if it wasn't taken!!
She now lives out her days with in our 2 other previously neglected, rescue rabbits in our huge garden with lots of Timothy hay, fresh greens and space to run and binky.

It's been a while since we visited Planters. We drove over from Coventry to be greeted with a lady at the reception desk shouting "dogs aren't allowed at the weekend"No explanation. Drove to Dobbies in Atherstone where our dog was made very welcome. Considering they sell pet products and have a dog friendly restaurant as well as a grooming salon, this seems a little unfair of planters - maybe a little more information would be helpful!
Build a bunny at planters Tamworth. 5*
Staff very friendly. My little girl throughly enjoyed herself. Bunny is top quality. Really enjoyable experience
Would definitely recommend.

Cannot praise ANGELA (my Christmas Angel) at Planters Tamworth enough. Went today to get my new artificial Christmas tree, only to find they'd sold out of the one I wanted. That didn't phase Angela, who after checking their stock without success, contacted their other branch who had one !!. Angela arranged for it to be transferred to Tamworth, and in a very short time I received a phone call to say it was ready for collection. OUTSTANDING customer service and all with a smile. Merry Christmas Angela, you certainly helped make my Christmas more memorable.
