Our dog findik is a child to us. He is a golden retriever, the most friendly and easygoing dog on earth. We left him at Pocahondas Dierenhotel during the last week of June 2019. When we picked him up after one week. We realized a huge abscess on both of his legs. He had high fever. We immediately took him to the vet as he was not moving properly (since he couldn’t). The vet questioned on how possibly the abcess was let to grow that big without being unnoticed. When we searched a bit we found that this is something that often happens to the dogs in the ordinary shelters due to lack of movement, being stuck in a cage. Due to the abscesses, he could not move properly and his elbows were also dislocated. When we informed pocahondas about this matter they did not take any responsibility and directed us to their vet who claimed to have checked our dog and tried to give us advice about our dog’s age, etc. but could not manage to spot 2 big abscesses on his legs. Pocahondas shared a dry apology with us, without showing any interest and follow up on the matter. We do not want this to happen to any other dog ever who are other families dearests. We are also attaching the photos of the wounds that our dog had to suffer. Never ever again!!!!
