Change in Terms and Conditions

Change in Terms and Conditions
I booked a World Cruise in November 2021 to go away in January 2024. The terms and conditions at that time were clear that should I need to cancel I could do so ,but I would need to use the deposit against another trip at another time.
My circumstances have changed and I have become a carer so I contacted PO and told them I can no longer go away for 3 months so would like to book an alternative shorter cruise. Apparently they have changed there Terms and Conditons since my booking and say I have to now spend the full amount of the cruise I was intending going within 6 months from the date of my trip or loose my £1832 deposit.
Heartless, and immoral, beside dishonorable.

Back in October 2021 my wife and I were…

Back in October 2021 my wife and I were booked for our first holiday away together without children and were super excited. The money had been saved up over a number of years and all was set. 2 days prior to the cruise our daughter contracted covid. This was at the height of panic around cruises and whilst we had tested negative we wanted to do right by those on board. With a heavy heart we cancelled. A refund was issued... but not a refund... a cruise credit... we have no need of the cruise now and so have asked for it to be refunded. P&O point blank refuse to issue us one. Worse still they will not even change the names on the credit or allow us to send someobnody else in our place. It's ridiculous and has left a very sour taste

Refused refund even though I have a very good reason. Discusting

In short. I have secondary breast cancer . So I got a travel insurance quote online. Next am booked cruise around Norway. Insurance then said they could not insure me. As it was a last minute deal p&o will only refund half of my 3 grand. Only booked it on Friday. Terms and condition policy. No empathy or compassion. Gutted and quite shocked at such a big company. Will never advise anyone to book with these.

P & O change prices and cabins as they feel fit

I have done many cruises and this latest experience with P&O on the Britannia is proving to be a pain.
Firstly its for my mothers 70th Birthday, so thought I would plan ahead.
Advise - Do not book early. I paid a premium for booking early and saw the cruise advertised at a much lower price months later. When I questioned this i was told that its part of the fluid pricing policy and fares can go up or down. I have been watching these now for a few months and they don't seem to go up?
I booked a specific cabin as I know where the preferred location is for my mother and her walker. I asked that we be near the lifts and our room was allocated. I have even filled out the disability questionnaire to get assistance getting to and from the cruise terminal. I am now being told that someone would have mention an upgrade option and P&O have decided with 6 weeks to go that they will move us. Far from acceptable, so now arguing about our selected cabin. P&O are saying 'You'll have to accept the new room'.
Advise - Say no to an upgrade, they're not likely to give you a suite. Its just moving you around the ship to get the best use of the cabins.
Overall i would make sure that you confirm everything twice and email customer services to make sure they know your thoughts and that you don't wish to change or move cabins.
So frustrating, come on P&O sort it out.
