Great full day immersion into Polynesian cultures!

We spent an entire day at the Polynesian Cultural Center. Since we got there before the village shows began, we stopped for lunch at Pounders – we had delicious hamburgers. We spent time in each of the 6 villages – our favorite show was the one at the Fiji village, but they were all enjoyable. We had dinner at the Gateway Buffet which was pretty good for a buffet. After dinner, we enjoyed the Tram tour to the Laie & Temple Visitors Center.
The highlight of our day was the "Ha: Breath of Life" evening show. This stunning evening show featured over 100 Polynesian native performers, many were BYU students. The show told the story of Mana, a young Polynesian boy, and his growth from a baby into a man over the years as he visits the different island cultures of Polynesia. It really was an incredible show. At the end, the fire dancers were especially impressive – when they got close to us, we could feel the heat. We thoroughly enjoyed our day at PCC.
