Booked my car in for an alignment check…
Booked my car in for an alignment check and brake fluid change, got told to come slightly earlier, I did, it took more than an hour for them to take my car out as they were busy, fine. when they took my car out the car park the mechanic instead of taking my car into the garage instead decides to floor my car down the road up to motorway speeds at pretty much full throttle, I saw my car gaining speed down the road so immediately went to ask the owner why he’s doing that who said he was likely checking the tracking, last time I checked flooring it from 0-60 on a half mile road and back isn’t checking tracking, when no alignment had actually been done yet, I will assume the owner didn’t hear/see the way it went down. I then confronted the mechanic as he came back who denied what I saw with my own eyes and then backtracked and talked about how he’s been doing this for years, which has no correlation, I also saw my dashcam was unplugged.. Once alignment was done I was told my rear toes were out and they quoted me £200+.. for 3 adjustments, I refused, (I have also taken my car to another place for an alignment where my rear was actually within spec and not needing adjusting, so that’s another odd thing, clearly their machine isn’t calibrated correctly or there was user error, I won’t accuse them or anything more). After I refused the alignment they then parked my car again and took another hour before bringing it back in for the brake fluid change, over 2 hours since I’d been waiting there in total. Once that was done I finally was able to leave, where the owner finally spoke to me and apologised and mentioned how he’d talk to the mechanic the next day and how he shouldn’t be doing that, but it doesn’t make up for what happened, especially since he didn’t do or say anything to me until I finally got my car back at closing time, and companies need to save face. I’d advise against coming here if you value your time, money, and your car, i will not be coming back here again nor to any protyre branch for that matter

The office staff were there, just not getting on with things and as trhe car had been there over an hour, I was getting impatient, especially as I'd gone early as requested by them.
