Avoid Pryors: Poor Value & Unreliable Service

Based on customer feedback, the service is disappointing. Common complaints include rushed, poor-quality cleaning (with cobwebs and marks left behind), unfair charges for work not done, and frustratingly short notice via late-evening texts for the next day's appointment.

Hi Kimberly, it looks like you may not have used our service yourself. Please do get in touch so we can answer any concerns you may have. We work extremely hard to achieve excellent results with each clean and if there is any disappointment, we ask the cleaner to return for a reclean the following day. https://pryors-uk.com/contact_us/

Don't recommend. Poor service

They only give one days notice and then claim they have rung the bell. They report back and then charge 100% for the service. Do not reccommend, they seem to rely on you not being in or not hearing the doorbell even if you're in. So that they can charge.

Hi Maria. The cleaners worksheets are not completed until 7pm the evening before we are due to attend. We then text you to advise we are coming, to allow you to leave any access needed open. Our cleaners will always try and see the customer on the day, so we are sorry if you had not known our cleaner had attended. We only ever charge for work that we have completed, unless there is a pattern of restricted access to the rear. At this point, we would need to put our minimum charge through to cover our costs. Many thanks

Look elsewhere

Used for a few years and cleaning was ok but not great, getting worse over time. The last "clean" allegedly took place when I was out but the windows were dirty, still had cobwebs, bird strike marks and generally looked like they hadn't been touched. Ive now cancelled as they clearly didn't care when I called to complain.

Hi Chris, the 24 hour guarantee we have following each clean means that we can arrange for the cleaner to return for a full reclean the next day. We cover a huge area of the South East, and we do move areas daily. Unfortunately, if we are notified about any disappointment after this 24 hour period, it is then likely we would be too far away to return at that stage. Your are welcome tom give us a call to discuss this further if you'd like? Many thanks

Poor cleaning service

I used Pryors window & gutters cleaning service for couple of years, they were right on schedule but did not clean windows, doors thoroughly. They missed my gutters cleaning properly and I had to send them a video once to indicate something was not right.

When I got fed up with their poor service and cancelled the contract I got charged a wooping £242 which I investigated and was told that was for last day windows, guttering and facia cleaning on 1st September 2025.

A proper rip off company when it comes to cancellation, charges and quality …..AAAC

Using 3rd party door to door sales, signing you up for a contract you didn't asked for

Despite having a sticker on the door saying no leafletting or sales , I had someone who said they were from Pryors knock on my door to say they were cleaning my neighbour's windows next week and would I be interested.

Having previously thought about getting the windows professionally cleaned, I listened to what was said instead of just closing the door. A mistake.

He went through the process; text the day before arriving, what they do, no need to be in, cost, and that it was every 6-8 weeks, but you could skip one. But you were signing up for at least 3 cleans a year.

I was happy to have a consistent clean, but I wanted to check the company's work first. Through conversation, I ended up giving him my contact details so the company could call to discuss a trial clean. Something didn't add up, though and there was a nagging feeling.

I immediately called the company and was told that I had signed up for regular cleaning every 6 week, and the person I talked to was a 3rd party salesperson. I asked to cancel everything and have all of my details deleted. Their response was that they hadn't yet received the email with my details but it would be binned when they receive it. I have doubts I will receive confirmation to say that this has happened.

So now just keeping my fingers crossed that this happens and that I don't have to waste more time calling the company. I definitely do not want this company coming round to my house when I am out and cleaning anything!

Ridiculous

Ridiculous. Was canvassed at home beginning of August. The rates seemed reasonable & our last window cleaners had retired so we signed up. Got a telephone call same day saying someone would be in touch within 2 weeks. Heard nothing further from them until 7pm Sunday evening 14th September. A text informed me the window cleaner would be coming the next day & that if I was not going to be at home, I should ensure access. No thanks.

We cover a huge area of the South East, so it is very difficult to give an accurate time frame on when we would be attending. We move through areas as we clean for our customers, and certain factors can speed us up or slow us down on a daily occurrence. This is why we text you the evening before we are due, to ask for any access that is needed to be available to us. Many thanks

Very poor service never use them!!

Very poor service. There is not proper cleaning schedule any day approx 5-6 weeks you get a text message at 19:00 saying they are going to come and clean your windows. Even if your not in to let them clean the back windows and you send them a message they will come and clean your front ones and leave and they down even do a proper job. I still have cob webs on my windows even after they cleaned it.. not the first time.. even when they came the second time around same thing.. never use these people..

Hi Arun, I am really sorry to hear you were left so disappointed. We work on a 6 weekly or a 12 weekly schedule and we move through areas as we clean for our customers. This means we don't take booked appointments, but text you the evening before we are due to ask any access needed to be made available for our cleaner. If we cannot get through to the back of your property, we then clean the accessible windows and doors at the front, which is usually charged at half your usual cost. If our customers are ever not fully happy with the clean, we work hard to rectify this by offering a reclean the following day if possible. We use the reach and wash system, using extendable poles but there may be occasions when a cobweb is not visible to the cleaner from the ground. You are welcome to contact us to discuss further if you need, many thanks

Check what they take from your account

Very pleased with the window cleaning but bad experience with making an enquiry regarding clearing the gutter. Asked the window cleaner if they clear gutters. Yes they do, for £50. I said a bit high for me so I will clear them myself. He cleaned the windows and left.3 weeks later I noticed being charged £50 for clearing the gutter. Phoned Pryors to query this. They said the job was booked in, with my consent, and carried out! The window cleaner in question had left their employ so could not verify it with him. Refused to refund or actually do the job. I asked them to close my account with them and they did not really care.

Hi Peter, I am sorry to hear you were left feeling disappointed following the visit from the sales person. They were from a third party company, and we are no longer working with them. The sales associate sent us your details as confirmation that you wanted to go ahead with the service. We would then have contacted you because our cleaners were in your area at that time and so you could have been added to a worksheet for the next day or so. If you were not cleaned at that time, it would be 6 weeks before we would have been back in your area. I hope this helps clarify your concerns. Many thanks

Absolute bonkers

Absolute bonkers. Sales rep agreed for a price and schedule. The next day lady presumably the owner calls and double up the price. Apparently their sales team is 3rd party and looks like owners wont agree with the prices the sales team promise you.

Hi Abdul, I am really sorry to hear of your frustrations. The sales associate you saw was from a third party company, who were working for Pryors at the time. However, we are no longer working with them. They were able to give out estimated quotes, but it sounds like this had been underpriced for the specifics of your property. We do offer excellent value for money for a regular window cleaning service, and initial quotes may need adjusting when we have taken a look at the property. Many thanks

Absolutely useless! We’ve used for over a year! Sometimes they just don’t turn up! The last excuse “we ran out of water” lol
They also don’t do a good job when they manage to turn up! In & out 10 mins!!!

Hi Paul, we use pure, filtered water which is held in a tank in the vans. This means that a cleaner may run out of water on a particularly busy day, but we would then ensure those customers not attended are added to a worksheet for the next day. We also contact them to let them know. We use the reach and wash system with extendable poles, as this is designed to be quick but efficient with excellent results.

Screwing the customer?

I signed up for a clean every six weeks. I received a text yesterday saying they were coming today - only 4 weeks after the previous clean. I don't know how long this has been going on, but am glad I realised. Apparently they are doing this to other customers too. A way of getting more money out of the customer?

Hi Janet. We do work hard to be as close as we can to the 6 weekly or 12 weekly schedule, but certain factors can speed us up or slow us down on a daily basis. We would expect our customers to have either 8 or 4 cleans from Jan to Dec. If our customers find they have had additional cleans, we ask that they let us know so we can add credit to the account to ensure they are not charged. We would not put these additional charges on to our customers.

Very Disappointed

We have tolerated Pryor’s Window Cleaning for a few months. Yesterday we got a text at 7PM and still dark their Contractor turned up in the dark at 7 AM and proceeded to clean, even breaking into the rear of house by reaching over our latched side gate. No courtesy or empathy. Very limited service with surrounds excluded unless you pay a King’s Random

We were canvassed by a door knocker

We were canvassed by a door knocker. He advised we would just need to have 3 cleans a year. Every 6 weeks I had a text message to say they would be cleaning our windows tomorrow. So, I cancelled every other clean as 6 weeks for me is excessive. I have now had my 3 cleans so assumed all is well. Then I get a snotty voicemail saying that as I seem to cancel a lot, they would have to charge me £51.00 a pop!!! Absolutely awful customer service. Expensive and rude. I would not recommend.

Hi Pamela, it sounds like you were given incorrect information by the sales associate. They were from a third party company working for us at the time, but this is not the case now. When our customers sign up with us, we do ask for three cleans initially but these would be consistent, and not on an ad hoc basis. Our prices reflect the regular service, but if you wanted less cleans throughout the year the price would need to be adjusted due to the bigger build up of dirt between visits
. Many thanks
