Writing this review to thank…

Writing this review to thank Shebashi(apologies if I am not spelling it correctly) one of your customer service representatives in the UK that was such a blessing to my family and helped make a very stressful situation easy. She showed so much compassion and kindness during a difficult time. She was a gem to my cousin who traveled home for his mum burial but was unable to change his flight due to third party restrictions, calls were made to the customer service team and everything was sorted within a few minutes which was such a relief.

Warm regards to her and the entire team. Forever grateful for her service and support again

Changed my flight by 23 hours (earlier)…

Changed my flight by 23 hours (earlier) meaning that a connection I had planned didn't work. Charged just under £1000 to change the flight. After auto acknowledgement of my first email requesting compensation the airline has ignored all subsequent contact. This, in my opinion, is far from the best airline in the world. It is, in fact an airline that is interested only in taking more money off their customers and not in the least in good customer service. I will always choose other airlines over Qatar Airways in future.

Horrible experience avoid them!

Horrible experience avoid them!

Gave us no heads up on the fact that our flight had moved and had a negative 1 hour 25minutes layover, we only found out once we opened the app.

The CS rep made 0 efforts to do anything to compensate us for the inconvenience, we were travelling with family and had a baby, but they conveniently also messed up the seating (which we paid extra for) and didn't bother to mention until we actually checked it ourselves.

Beyond disappointed and disgusted. Will not be utilizing them moving forward.

P.S Pathetic UX on the app, when the keyboard pops up, what you are typing disappears behind the keyboard lol, in 2026 btw

Qatar Airways have sent our E tickets…

Qatar Airways have sent our E tickets that are wrong. They have also only partially confirmed my booking. Trying to get this problem fixed is impossible. Emails they won't answer phone calls where they won't help and just going round in circles. If there is a problem with you flying with this airline it is impossible to get it fixed.

Involuntary Downgrade

Having booked a First class redemption Qatar had a aircraft change which Iunderstand happens but led to a plane with no first class product.
For 9 weeks now I have been trying through several long phone calls and countless emails get compensation for the involuntary downgrade but have been met with some of the worst customer service I could imagine.
This is so far below what you would expect from the worlds number one airline.

Absolutely unacceptable experience with…

Absolutely unacceptable experience with Qatar Airways.
My mom was traveling from Chicago to Doha, then from Doha to Iraq. The connection in Doha was only 45 minutes, which is completely unrealistic. Because of this, she missed her connecting flight and lost an entire day of her trip. This wasn’t just her many other passengers missed their connections too because of the same issue.
I don’t play about my mom, and this whole situation has me beyond angry. Thankfully, Qatar Airways did provide a hotel for everyone who was stranded, but that doesn’t make up for the lost time and stress they caused.
What made the situation even worse was that one of the agents lied to multiple passengers. They told everyone they would arrange and pay for a rental car so they could go out and explore Doha for about three hours during the unexpected stay. That never happened. They got people’s hopes up with promises they never kept. On top of that, passengers weren’t even given food money or meal vouchers.
Losing an entire day of an international trip because of a connection that was far too short is unacceptable. The poor communication, false promises, and lack of proper customer service made an already frustrating situation even worse.
I genuinely do NOT recommend booking with Qatar Airways.

Formal Complaint

Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Cabin Crew Member “” – Flight QR402 (27 June 2026)

Dear Qatar Airways Customer Relations,

I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding the unacceptable behavior of one of your cabin crew members( her name with me ) , during my journey on Flight QR402 to Amman on 27 June 2026. My seat number was 31H.

This was my first experience flying with Qatar Airways, and unfortunately, because of what happened, I genuinely believe it may also be my last.

Before takeoff, the aircraft remained stationary for approximately two hours due to a delay. During this unexpected delay, I simply wanted to retrieve my phone to inform my family that the flight had been delayed. Instead of being treated with understanding and professionalism, Marina suddenly started shouting at me aggressively and repeatedly in front of all the passengers. I calmly asked her, “Why are you shouting at me?” However, she continued shouting without giving me the opportunity to explain myself.

What made the situation even more humiliating was that she called her supervisor while I was standing there and described me as “rude” before even listening to my side of the story.

I was also deeply disturbed when I heard the supervisor ask her where I was from, and she replied, “Jordan.” I sincerely hope Qatar Airways does not treat passengers differently based on their nationality. Whether I am Jordanian, Qatari, or from any other country should make absolutely no difference. Every passenger deserves to be treated equally, with dignity, professionalism, and respect.

I have travelled extensively throughout my life and have flown with many airlines, especially Royal Jordanian and Emirates. During all my years of travelling, I have never experienced such humiliating or disrespectful treatment from any member of a cabin crew.

It is also important to mention that I was travelling as part of an official government trip. Regardless of the purpose of my travel, every passenger deserves to be treated with courtesy and professionalism. The behavior I experienced on Flight QR402 fell far below the standards I expected from Qatar Airways.

Being shouted at in front of other passengers, publicly embarrassed, and falsely described as “rude” without being given a chance to explain myself caused me significant distress and humiliation. This is not the level of customer service that a world-renowned airline should provide.

I respectfully request that Qatar Airways conduct a thorough investigation into this incident, review any available cabin reports or recordings, and inform me of the outcome. I also expect a formal apology for the way I was treated and for the embarrassment and emotional distress I experienced.

I trusted Qatar Airways because of its outstanding international reputation. Sadly, this experience did not reflect those values. I sincerely hope my complaint will be taken seriously so that no other passenger has to go through what I experienced.

Never ever

If it were possible, I would give them 0 stars.
Completely hopeless. All of this happened after they rebooked us, which already made us lose a full day of our hotel payment.
Our first flight to Doha was delayed by 1.5 hours because we were waiting for just 4 passengers, which meant we missed our connecting flight. Traveling with an elderly mother and small kids, Qatar Airways actually expected us to just sit and wait 8 hours and 40 minutes in the airport in the middle of the night. And when we landed the plane still had not taken of.
After 1.5 hours of arguing, they finally offered us a hotel. After another hour of waiting, a bus arrived to take us to a hotel 30 minutes away. By the time we actually got to the room, we only had 2.5 hours left to rest.
Fast forward 5 days: my elderly and sick mother was traveling home alone. She had literally been in the hospital the day before her flight. To make sure she was safe and comfortable, I paid extra for the platinum transfer and lounge access.
First of all, at Jeddah airport, they told her the lounge wasn't even available.
Then, the plane was delayed again, causing her to miss her connection. There were still 60 minutes until takeoff as original plane, due to almost all flights out of Doha were delayed, but they still wouldn't let her board.
I spent 1 hour and 10 minutes on the phone while her plane was in the air, begging them to put her back on her original flight, but the team in Doha flat out refused. Instead, my mother—who can barely walk and was already sick—was forced to wait nearly 8 hours completely alone. All customer service could tell me was a useless "we will try to help her." The first flight was only 20 minutes late, and her connecting flight was delayed too, so there was absolutely no logical reason to strand her like that.
Never, ever, ever booking with Qatar Airways again

I booked a flight with your airline in…

I booked a flight with your airline in march which was later cancelled. Since 7 April 2026, I have simply been requesting the payment invoice for this flight, which has still never been sent to me as of today, 27 June 2026.

I have sent four email reminders and eleven follow-ups via Messenger, yet I have received no response whatsoever. This is completely unacceptable.

Premium airline poor customer service

Very disappointing baggage claim experience. My hard-shell suitcase was returned structurally damaged, yet Qatar Airways called it “normal wear and tear” and denied responsibility.

Never Volunteer for an Overbooked Qatar Airways Flight

If you are ever asked to volunteer for another flight by Qatar Airways, my advice is simple: don't.

Our flight was overbooked, and we were asked to volunteer for a different itinerary. This meant leaving the rest of our travel group and taking three flights instead of two, so we initially declined.

The only reason we agreed was because we were promised compensation. Before accepting, I specifically asked whether the compensation was guaranteed, and made it clear that if there was any uncertainty, I was not interested. Two Qatar Airways employees assured me that the compensation was 100% guaranteed and that, as a professional airline, they would honour it.

That was six months ago.

Since then, I have called Qatar Airways around 30 times for updates. Every single time I have been told that the matter has been "escalated" and that someone will get back to me. Six months later, I have still received no compensation and no meaningful resolution.

My advice: never volunteer when Qatar Airways overbooks a flight. The promised compensation isn't worth trusting.

Clear, open and shameless theft!

I was booking a return flight from Perth to Lisbon on 25 June 2026 when, at the payment stage, an additional charge of AUD $52.40 (around €32) appeared as a "Card payment fee." This was both surprising and disappointing. I paid with a standard Visa debit card and was not charged any card payment fee when I booked my flight from Dublin to Perth on 18 June 2026, just one week earlier. I cannot understand why the same airline would apply such a significant surcharge in one case but not the other. The fee was only disclosed at the final payment stage, which made the total price considerably higher than expected. In my view, this lacks transparency and leaves customers feeling misled and robbed. I have contacted my bank to dispute the charge because I do not believe this fee was lawfully justified or clearly explained. I doubt very much that Qatar Airways can provide a true and reasonable explanation for why this surcharge was applied and I will not fly with them again. I have attached a photo of the transaction page on Google reviews. My flight is this Saturday June 27, 2026 and I expect to be treated badly as punishment because of this review.

Heartless service from Qatar Airways at…

Heartless service from Qatar Airways at RSI Airport.

Passengers were informed of the delay only 45 minutes before the scheduled departure time. By then, we had already passed through immigration, so we were effectively stranded in the departure lounge with no possibility of leaving. There wasn’t even a proper table or workspace for those of us who needed to continue working while waiting.

The flight was delayed until 16:40, yet no one proactively approached passengers to explain the situation or offer assistance. Only after we complained were we told that “refreshments” would be provided. A drink or snack does not compensate for an entire day’s schedule being disrupted, missed appointments, and plans that can no longer be carried out.

The staff member apologised repeatedly, saying his hands were tied and that he could do nothing. Even more frustrating was being told that if I chose to leave the lounge, my flight would be cancelled.

The lack of communication, empathy, and customer care was deeply disappointing. Delays can happen, but the way passengers are treated during them is entirely within an airline’s control. Unfortunately, on this occasion, Qatar Airways showed zero concern for the people affected.

Worst customer service ever

Worst customer service ever ! Son flew Boston-Doha-Hanoi - got miles for Boston-Doha (American Airline Miles) but not for Doha-Hanoi leg. AA says Qatar gave him miles with different airline for last leg. Called Qatar Airlines - for verification they needed my sons - ticket number, name, address, phone number, passport number and date I bought his ticket. After that they can not help unless he has a Qatar account. There is no way to contact them unless you have a Qatar account that I now refuse to set up - they can not give me any information as to what airline he supposedly got the miles with. Wanted to try to email them - you can't - Worst, Worst airline to deal with !! Fly Cathay !
