Payed for subscription, no subscription no money back

I payed for subscription, tried it out for a few days and wanted more features, because the subscription for 59.99 doesn’t have good enough features, I wanted to upgrade and there wasn’t any option, just to buy another for 99.99 so I canceled 59.99 and assumed since I didn’t use it much(!only a few days) that I would get the money back. Nope to their policy they didn’t give me money back and now I have no subscription, nor my money back!

I contacted Apple support, and they said due to policy, they cannot give me the money back. I’m unhappy, and will look at places where I can leave a bad feedback for Qustodio

WASTE OF MONEY -EASY TO TAMPER KIDS CAN EASLY BYPASS

I have a paid account and the kids easly bypass all and tampered all . Reinstalled many times no use. Very easy to tamper and my kids. 12 yrs kid use phone full functional . WASTE OF MONEY...

locks when my son is using the game

locks when my son is using the computer. sadly he lost his 30 win streak in this game called "rivals"? it locked by itself even though the entertainment routine was on. very disappointed as I am paying all this money and doesn't work.

Not child proof

For some reason cannot see phone calls or message threads child seems to get through restrictions.
Child’s reset one device completely whilst App was in the use

cancellations very hard to do

Subscription auto renewed, was charged for a full year even though we are not using it anymore.

12 Y/O hacked in a day

I paid for premium this app doesn't work my 12 yo hacked it in less than a day that was with all the settings blocked.
I want a refund but they won't give me one. Customer service is terrible can't get hold of anyone.
This is a scam app

Not great for time limits

My experience seems a lot like others. I have spent hours trying to get the setting right, but now it seems that when time is up, he can continue to play any app that was left open. Apparently I can spend hours more trying to find settings that may be interfering with the apps functionality (e.g, battery saver settings on my chil's phone), but these are settings he can just go back and change. The location finder is nice, but as I said, the time limits are not reliable at all. I really want the phone to be completely locked when time is up (except for emergency calls).

Issues resolved immediately

I had issue with annual billing renewal and it was immediately dealt with and resolved. Jésus responded promptly with my inquiries. If you have any questions or concerns with Qustodio, the customer service is superb.

Qustodio wrongly billing me annually for years even though we cancelled within the 30day period back in 2019! were slow to respond when we…

Qustodio were slow to respond when we needed help setting up in 2019. We persisted with the app but it did not work for us so we tried to cancel our subscription. They refund me every year but fail to cancel the subscription. This year I logged onto the app and cancelled by 'managing my subscription'. But the cancellation response still says it will take another subscription next year so I will still need to at least ring my bank for help or e mail qustodio on info@qustodio next year. There seems to be no talking customer services.

Unusable on iPhone

On iPhone, when device is locked is reported as lost. Nothing works then: the alarm does not set off (my son missed an important event). The wallet asks for password everyday (bc the phone was "lost"). You need to add specific rules for using credit cards… my teenager son was really upset. I was looking for an enhanced “screen time” and this is definitely not it. Ah! And customer support does not answer me after paying the yearly subscription.

very good experinc

Qustodio helped me managing screen time for my child on laptop and telephone. You should get wel acquantied with the app because there a re several features to fix, notifictions to choose

good initially but becoming less and less reliable

I’ve been using Qustodio premium on my son’s iPhone for nearly a year now and initially it has been reliable and effective. There’s always been some apps it cannot monitor, eg. WhatsApp, but I knew about this beforehand.

Over the past couple of months though it has become increasingly unreliable. For example, my son now cannot use Amazon Music anymore, at all, even though it’s set up as an allowed app. Most annoyingly, his homework app does not work either so I have to temporarily disable Qustodio on his phone every time he needs to do his homework.

The actual timings of what he uses on his phone and how Qustodio adds up the minutes are completely out of synch - I checked this via my son’s Apple screentime records. Qustodio considerably overestimates how much time is spent on TikTok, for example.

These are all things that cause additional tensions and grief. I have contacted the premium helpline several times over the past month and had no reply. So unfortunately I have to leave a fairly negative review here and will not be renewing the subscription.

Mother of tween who's tried other apps

This app has given me more visibility and control than other apps. Don't waste you time trialling others.
The premium is well worth it as quick responses and answers to all my questions that I couldn't find in their guides

There are a lot of improovments to…

There are a lot of improovments to impelemt. Show kid phone battery level for example. And protection is some times very weak. Kid can access blocked app store and install apps. hi just press and press and press again. Every time is blocked. But one time - no. and it is enough.

This software is an absolute nightmare.

This review comes after many months of trying to make this work.This is not an application to provide a safety layer for your family. It is an invasive program designed to make technology a terrible experience for both parents and kids. The routines, the rules setting all of that up as been a nightmare. As a parent, you’re constantly adjusting everything just to get things that they should have access to working. Or you’re turning off rules for a few minutes and then turning them back on again. Software updates cause terrible loops where they can’t even use their phones or their desktop. If you’re looking to protect your children look elsewhere if you’re looking to throw up a wall to ensure that your children only do specifically what you want them to do and you want to oppress them. This is the software for you.
