All round horrible customer service. I got to the storage and my assigned unit was occupied. Called the office and they did absolutely nothing to resolve while my moving van had to offload my items and leave.
Next time I was at the storage to pick up some important documents I was unable to gain access, called again and all they said was “we don’t know why so come back tomorrow”. I decided to move out before the end of the one month period and they’re have ignored my mails requesting a refund for unused days as per their policy.
They’ve also charged my card for no reason and have ignored emails requesting for an explanation or refund.
Only deal with ready steady storage if you have no other options and use a debit card that you can cancel to avoid fraudulent charges.

DONT PURCHASE FROM THIS STORE. TRADES AS EARSYRINGE TOO
placed an order heard nothing. Contacted them and left numerous emails and heard nothing. Terrible company take your money and nothing.
UPDATE:
Had an email from ReadySteadyStore, saying they think I have the wrong people.. Rather Strange.. Returns address for products is Readysteadystore for earsyringe same place. Why would earsyringe have readysteadystore as there return address....
Another update
Until readysteadystore can prove why they accept returns for earsyringe with readysteadystore address on it. This review stands.. Something stinks here and someone is not being honest.. If readysteadystore say its nothing to do with them, then they know who it relates to.
I can understand your frustration too, but your address is the only address for returns.. I can not return a item that I have not received or heard anything from the company, there direction is you. on searching companies house they did have address change from yours in 2023.. and still returns are sent to your address.. If i returns comes back it will revert to your address.. who accepts those returns for the person then renting storage.?
KPB healthcare I am sure is the company using your address.. You need to investigate them and see why they are still using your address

Calling this place an absolute joke of a company, would still be me being mild. It's just unbelievably bad.
The issue at hand, I make a reservation for a storage unit. No issues until I got there, unit already paid for, I get a confirmation mail, and even completed an online check-in process as well. With my goods (having paid for movers), I get on scene to find out my code doesn't work and make it all even more wonderful, they don't have any staff on scene. After about 45 minutes, I get through to customer care (By the end, of 7 calls I could connect through to them only on 1) during which they tell me my ID verification didn't pass because they couldn't verify my address. After some back and forth, they decided to use my residential address in the UK, and was asked to mail them a bank statement that mentions my address in the UK. I do, following which the next response of any kind I get is after 2 hours, all while I'm supposed to be sitting there on the side of the road with all my stuff.
Now the highlight, the 2 documents in question being,
- my passport which I'm using to be in the country in the first place
- the second being, a official bank statement from Lloyd's bank stating my address at the very top.
Firstly, why on earth would you send a Reservation Confirmation mail of any kind if you haven't verified the prerequisites.
Secondly, they somehow think the appropriate time to bring up an issue is, after the customer get on-site with his goods and after he calls customer care for the Nth time.
Following these hours of back and forth, I decided to find an alternative. It took me a total of 10 minutes to get it all done, and actually "CONFIRM" a unit and I used the same IDs.
And for all the customer service BS mail responses, your understanding of my frustration is not what is keeping the roof over my head, it is all the money I spent on the movers.

The single most unscrupulous company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with! If there could be a -10 star that would be my rating. There are so many really bad things about this company they are so money orientated it’s almost embarrassing. Absolutely no thought for the customer Whatsoever. They even try to con you into buying their insurance as a part of their terms and conditions that is 10 times dearer than I found online. I’m not going to write everything here as it just brings back bad memories. Mark my words stay away as you will regret having any dealings with these people.

Ready Steady Store Aylesbury Broadfield
From the very beginning, the service was outstanding, friendly, professional, and consistently helpful throughout my time using the storage unit. I particularly remember the day I was moving my belongings out, one team member joked, “You’ve picked the hottest day to move home!” Not long after, she returned with an ice lolly, which was such a thoughtful and much appreciated gesture in the heat. She truly went above and beyond, making a stressful day that much easier. Thank you for the excellent service!

Not professional! Very rude. Staff member called Anthony calls you names down the phone then hangs up on you.

Con merchants. I only wanted a storage unit for a couple weeks, but they said I had to pay one month up front, and that if I didn't need it for a full month I could get a refund for the time I didn't use. I only needed it for 3 weeks and when I called them they said I had to still pay the full month, and because I took it out on the 27th of February, I would have to pay the difference also up until end of march. This is longer than a month. They also had no lighting on site, so going after dark was not an option. Explore other options. Do not use

Just went online to look up costs of storage, but you have to provide email and phone details before they will reveal their prices (unfortunately this seems to be a rather unnecessary but common practice for storage companies).
I was then bombarded with calls, texts and emails trying to sell me storage space.
I've had to block their calls, texts and emails and will be raising a formal complaint to offcom.
Tantamount to harassment
I certainly will not be using this company based on this aggressive behaviour.

I was ready to give a good review until the time came to vacate my unit. I rented a unit for over a year while we were sorting out all the things from my mum’s house after she moved in with us. It was expensive, but the unit was nearby, so very convenient and we really had nowhere else to put the huge amount of items. Even when prices were put up, I had no choice but to continue with the rental. I asked to be moved to a smaller unit but the saving was negligible considering how much smaller the unit was.
I emailed to inform the company that I would be leaving the unit before my next month’s payment was due on the 15th of October, and asked them to cancel the direct debit. I had a reply saying it was too late to do that, but if I let them know as soon as the unit was empty, I would be given a refund. I pretty much broke my back - almost literally - to move everything out of the unit in time. I had no help and it was extremely exhausting, but I managed it and went to reception to report to the unit was empty. Again, I was told I would get my refund.
I then had an email saying the refund would be actioned on the 17th of the month and would show up in my account within 24 hours. When this didn’t happen I emailed but had no reply. I then managed to get through to customer services - a miracle - and the man on reception offered to put it straight through to my card. We did this, and he literally mentioned the correct amount of £217 as he was doing the transaction.
I was therefore very taken back to later find that only £124 had been refunded to me. When I enquired, I was told that I hadn’t given enough notice, and so I had been charged up to the 26th of October. This means that the unit was technically mine to use for another two weeks, but my account had already been closed down well before this. Having spent a huge amount of money renting this unit, I am disgusted that I was misled in this way. At no point was it mentioned that I would be paying for an extra fortnight – if I had known this, I would have spent much more time moving things and sorting out the items as I went. They have basically charged me £94 to have a space to which I no longer have access. I will be posting this review on Trustpilot and will advise everyone I meet to avoid this company at all costs. I don’t blame the guy on reception - he has always been very helpful; I suspect he gave me the right amount and the company then altered the payment.

Terrible , guide you in with low prices, now paying £153 a month for 10x8x8 , insist on Insurance. Good news now with company that gave me 20x8x8 twice the size for £120 a month fully insured. Like for Like £80 for same size.
Advise , look around anyone will be better.

I have received nothing but headache with this company. They’ve increased prices without prior notice (upon enquiry, they confirmed they held my details correctly but my emails were still sent to a complete stranger?!
Then after paying via direct debit for 5 months, I have received credit control emails saying I’ve missed payment. How can this be the case when I pay monthly via the DD option?! I requested an investigation into who had varied this change without my prior consent. I asked for an investigation into this as it’s deeply concerning that changes can even be made without authority.
Still No explanation - beware if Andrew Burton, rude manager

I wouldn't usually bother writing a review for something like a storage company but every interaction I've had with this company has been excellent and I actually felt compelled to write a review.
So rare to deal with a company nowadays that isn't just terrible.

Unfortunately my experience with this company has been very bad so far. I have been physically locked inside the building on multiple occasions for hours at a time with either nobody answering the number provided for help or nobody being able to actually help, only being let out by other customers arriving. I have also been locked inside the gates when leaving and being told my pin isn't working and to contact management (this happens every single night I visit the site now) and leads me to being locked in for long periods of time yet again, and now tonight I tried to go and I couldn't even gain entry to the site because my pin wasn't working, rang the out of hours help and they said there's nothing they can do and that I have to wait until tomorrow morning. I am very upset as I pay extra to have the 24 hour access and I am not getting what I'm paying for and keep getting locked in every time, this needs to be addressed ASAP.
