Was happy with the quote, asked a few questions and then ended up with rude responses just as I was about to book. He forgot Id have been a long term paying customer. Very very rude. Id rather pay extra amd go with a politer , friendlier service. Disappointed.

Ready Steady Store Aylesbury Broadfield
From the very beginning, the service was outstanding, friendly, professional, and consistently helpful throughout my time using the storage unit. I particularly remember the day I was moving my belongings out, one team member joked, “You’ve picked the hottest day to move home!” Not long after, she returned with an ice lolly, which was such a thoughtful and much appreciated gesture in the heat. She truly went above and beyond, making a stressful day that much easier. Thank you for the excellent service!

Not professional! Very rude. Staff member called Anthony calls you names down the phone then hangs up on you.

Con merchants. I only wanted a storage unit for a couple weeks, but they said I had to pay one month up front, and that if I didn't need it for a full month I could get a refund for the time I didn't use. I only needed it for 3 weeks and when I called them they said I had to still pay the full month, and because I took it out on the 27th of February, I would have to pay the difference also up until end of march. This is longer than a month. They also had no lighting on site, so going after dark was not an option. Explore other options. Do not use

Just went online to look up costs of storage, but you have to provide email and phone details before they will reveal their prices (unfortunately this seems to be a rather unnecessary but common practice for storage companies).
I was then bombarded with calls, texts and emails trying to sell me storage space.
I've had to block their calls, texts and emails and will be raising a formal complaint to offcom.
Tantamount to harassment
I certainly will not be using this company based on this aggressive behaviour.

The guys are so great they help me out when ever I have a question, Gareth is so fun to chat to when I came in.

I was ready to give a good review until the time came to vacate my unit. I rented a unit for over a year while we were sorting out all the things from my mum’s house after she moved in with us. It was expensive, but the unit was nearby, so very convenient and we really had nowhere else to put the huge amount of items. Even when prices were put up, I had no choice but to continue with the rental. I asked to be moved to a smaller unit but the saving was negligible considering how much smaller the unit was.
I emailed to inform the company that I would be leaving the unit before my next month’s payment was due on the 15th of October, and asked them to cancel the direct debit. I had a reply saying it was too late to do that, but if I let them know as soon as the unit was empty, I would be given a refund. I pretty much broke my back - almost literally - to move everything out of the unit in time. I had no help and it was extremely exhausting, but I managed it and went to reception to report to the unit was empty. Again, I was told I would get my refund.
I then had an email saying the refund would be actioned on the 17th of the month and would show up in my account within 24 hours. When this didn’t happen I emailed but had no reply. I then managed to get through to customer services - a miracle - and the man on reception offered to put it straight through to my card. We did this, and he literally mentioned the correct amount of £217 as he was doing the transaction.
I was therefore very taken back to later find that only £124 had been refunded to me. When I enquired, I was told that I hadn’t given enough notice, and so I had been charged up to the 26th of October. This means that the unit was technically mine to use for another two weeks, but my account had already been closed down well before this. Having spent a huge amount of money renting this unit, I am disgusted that I was misled in this way. At no point was it mentioned that I would be paying for an extra fortnight – if I had known this, I would have spent much more time moving things and sorting out the items as I went. They have basically charged me £94 to have a space to which I no longer have access. I will be posting this review on Trustpilot and will advise everyone I meet to avoid this company at all costs. I don’t blame the guy on reception - he has always been very helpful; I suspect he gave me the right amount and the company then altered the payment.

Terrible , guide you in with low prices, now paying £153 a month for 10x8x8 , insist on Insurance. Good news now with company that gave me 20x8x8 twice the size for £120 a month fully insured. Like for Like £80 for same size.
Advise , look around anyone will be better.

I have received nothing but headache with this company. They’ve increased prices without prior notice (upon enquiry, they confirmed they held my details correctly but my emails were still sent to a complete stranger?!
Then after paying via direct debit for 5 months, I have received credit control emails saying I’ve missed payment. How can this be the case when I pay monthly via the DD option?! I requested an investigation into who had varied this change without my prior consent. I asked for an investigation into this as it’s deeply concerning that changes can even be made without authority.
Still No explanation - beware if Andrew Burton, rude manager

I wouldn't usually bother writing a review for something like a storage company but every interaction I've had with this company has been excellent and I actually felt compelled to write a review.
So rare to deal with a company nowadays that isn't just terrible.

Unfortunately my experience with this company has been very bad so far. I have been physically locked inside the building on multiple occasions for hours at a time with either nobody answering the number provided for help or nobody being able to actually help, only being let out by other customers arriving. I have also been locked inside the gates when leaving and being told my pin isn't working and to contact management (this happens every single night I visit the site now) and leads me to being locked in for long periods of time yet again, and now tonight I tried to go and I couldn't even gain entry to the site because my pin wasn't working, rang the out of hours help and they said there's nothing they can do and that I have to wait until tomorrow morning. I am very upset as I pay extra to have the 24 hour access and I am not getting what I'm paying for and keep getting locked in every time, this needs to be addressed ASAP.

Truly seemless and positive experience from start to finished.
I used RSS Leeds Ring Road from February to June 2024 to store items inbetween selling, and buying a house. From the start Tony at the reservations team was brilliant in understanding what i needed. I opted for a 20ft container which looked brand new when i walked in so i was very happy with this. No concern with damp or anything like that during the time i used it. Inside was bone dry throughout.
Becca Elcock at the customer service team also very helpful throughout my time using RSS and also Andrew Burton at the Leeds facility, very helpful and great communication throughout. I am happy to recommend these to anyone and if needed, will use them again.

Wow! Actually quite amazed with how disgusting the customer service is at this company. If you fancy being verbally abused at your standard network rate please I urge you get in contact with ready steady store! I work for the NHS so used to abuse but this caught me off guard. Asked simple questions as the website is misleading and instead of patiently explaining to me the 'man' who I spoke to patronised and belittled me. When I called him out on a lie he had said and told him I believed what he had said was untrue he accused me of calling up for an argument and hung up. Ready steady store - you need to look at your hiring process a lot closer.

Just started using the Leeds Kirkstall store. Very helpful staff, both on the phone and at the site. No hanging around on the phone, and all the paperwork and information delivered very promptly. They were also keen to highlight their discounts, so I feel I am getting a good deal.

Terrible customer service. I rented a container on a short-term basis (10 weeks total) but despite that I’ve not been able to access my storage on multiple occasions due to RSS incompetence. The out of hours helpline is helpless, the in-hours customer service tell you someone will ring you back when nobody does, nobody responds to your emails and the in-store staff are rude and dismissive. Everything is someone else’s problem and nobody takes any responsibility. Avoid and store your stuff somewhere else if you ever want to access it.

My experience at the Wokingham Branch was effortless. The facilities are amazing and there is always a trolley when you need one. The staff couldn't help me enough, thank you Laura for all your help :)

I tried calling them once. After 5 min on hold I decided it wasn't worth my time and hung up. Today I received a call from someone who was rude and swore at me when I told him I hadn't requested a call back.
