All around pleasant experience, all staff members are really polite , my personal mentor is absolutely lovely and so forward with trying to help, and it actually seems likes people listen there, and understand, I was nervous and disheartened at first knowing I had to start, but after 1st meeting I was very surprised!

Whilst being supported by Zoe Thompson through the Reed Agency’s Employment and Skills Programme, I’ve been treated with nothing but encouragement and respect.
Even while I’ve been dealing with an injury, Zoe never let this slow things down. She stayed in regular contact and made sure it didn’t become a barrier to moving forward. She always looked for ways to keep me progressing and made sure I had every opportunity possible.
She went out of her way to secure training for me, which I’m currently completing. I’m now on a construction course working towards my CSCS card, with a clear pathway into plant machinery qualifications.
Whether it’s talking through positive routes into training and employment or keeping me updated on job opportunities, Zoe is always supportive and proactive. She also makes sure I’m doing everything I can to help myself. I honestly couldn’t ask for a better mentor.

Read in Partnership has subjected me to one of the worst experiences of my life. Despite clearly disclosing my learning disabilities, they failed to make even basic reasonable adjustments and showed a shocking lack of understanding, care, or professionalism.
The Restart programme is, in my opinion, unethical and harmful. It feels designed to pressure and control rather than support vulnerable people. I was treated like a box to be ticked, not a human being, and left feeling distressed, ignored, and worse off than when I started.
Any organisation claiming to support people into work while failing disabled participants so completely should be deeply ashamed. I would strongly warn anyone with learning disabilities or additional needs to avoid Read in Partnership altogether.
