Warranty Scam... Warranty Sham

Submitted a warranty claim to get a table top fixed or replaced under the regaurd warranty I purchased with my Ashley Furniture outdoor dinning table. There was a few board that began to fall apart and have issues due to the impact of the weather resistant top. My first 3 attempts to get a claim submitted failed. I called, I asked what the deal was and if I could get a copy of the terms and conditions because I didn't get those upon pruchasing the waranty. I had to be very strategic and tactful on how I submitted my last claim. It was approved and someone came out to look at it. After about 2 weeks of waiting my claim was then denied again and my policy was cancelled. I had to reach out to ashley directly regarding this info. Luckily I documented and recorded all conversations. A few days later Ashly refunded my money for the furniture and warranty because of the poor actions of regaurd in this matter. They are truly a terrible company when it comes to providing the service they are set out to deliver.

Worst customer experience ever

This may well be the worst customer service experience we've ever had. We bought a recliner/lift chair because of my husband's serious medical condition; we paid extra for a Reguard 5-year warranty. When the remote control broke, we requested a new one. Thirty days and 27 emails later, one was put in a box and sent to us. We plugged it in and solved the problem. During that month we had to rent another chair for $538, so we asked Reguard to reimburse us for that cost -- not the time, inconvenience or misery, just the cost of the chair we had to rent because of their very poor customer service. The company said that rental wasn't covered in the warranty. Despite advertising "fast & easy resolution" of problems, which did not happen in our case, they made it difficult to even get the name of a person to speak with, although that request was made several times. We have filed a complaint with the BBB and the state department of consumer affairs -- the company does not appear to care; they "reviewed" our claim several times, always coming to the same conclusion: Basically, too bad for us. They turned a simple solve into a monthlong, expensive problem -- for us at least. The warrantly proved all but useless to us and their service claims turned out to be just that, claims, in our case. All in all, a terrible experience and a company we will certainly never deal with again, or advise anyone else to.
