The best venue for musical shows. I watched A R Rehman show and its spectacular. I thoroughly enjoyed it on 24th April.

Wonderful Handel’s Messiah on Good Friday - over-priced drinks

We attended our annual visit to see Handel’s Messiah on Good Friday. This was a special visit being my 47th year on the trot & the actual 150th performance of the Messiah by the RCS. The visit was however marred by the extortionate cost of the drinks - £20 for a large glass of mediocre Chardonnay- what a rip off. RAH, get your pricing sorted out - otherwise you are going to alienate your customers and may put them off going to your venue again. We will continue to support the RCS on Good Friday but I’ll think twice before I buy any of your over-priced drinks -!

Royal Albert Hall staff

We went to the Royal Albert Hall yesterday to attend a teenage cancer trust event. Every member of staff we encountered were absolutely delightful. People were extremely helpful and polite and went out of their way. The whole experience was magical.

Disappointment All Round

As most of us know, the Albert Hall is a beautiful place, weather you've seen it on tv, or like me, attended several 'shows' there, over the years, and I'm sure all who have visited will agree, it's a unique experience, and one that will stay in peoples' memory forever.
Now, being 78, I have recently read two long biographies about a 'pop' group, famous for a song from the '70's written by the lead singer, Justin Hayword, called 'Nights In White Satin', and I'm sure people of my age, will remember this unusual and outstanding song, which actually saved the band from 'going under' at the time.
Justin to this day, is still performing, both in the USA and the UK. I personally, have seen him at three venues in this country in the last year, and can say that he can still ''put it away'' in a great manner.
Consequently, I have even purchased and seen recently, a dvd of the the 'Moodies', performing at the 'Hall', having firstly seen it on tv, including a second visit on tv. Having tried to acquire this second dvd, without success, I sent an email to the Hall, asking if they have a copy of this second visit, and to my surprise, didn't receive any acknowledgement at all from them!
I do believe that there is a kind of snobbery within this 'theatre', and that if I'd asked for a copy of a performance involving an orchestra playing some classical music, then they would have responded very quickly. I do believe that!
Anyway, I feel so strongly about this, and the fact that they didn't reply at all, this is the reason I have done this 'report'.
Please read it.
Regards
Brian, a lover of all sorts of music!

Spectacular and mind blowing world class performance.

This Magnificent, historical hall is steeped with history so much when I walked around I wondered how many famous people had I walked in their footsteps. All the staff were amazing including Andrew . Just returned from seeing OVO at the Royal Albert Hall (Feb 2026) and it is easily one of Cirque’s most energetic productions in years. If you’ve seen Corteo or Alegria before, this is much more fast-paced and colorful—truly feels like a carnival under the dome.
The Highlights:
TrampoWall: The finale is breathtaking. Watching "crickets" run up a 64-foot vertical wall is worth the ticket price alone.
The Ants: The foot juggling with giant kiwi and corn is mind-bogglingly precise.
The Sound: The live Brazilian-infused music sounds incredible with the Hall's acoustics. In my mind this is the best place I have ever been and already want to go back.

Was at Ovo Circ de Soliel tonight

Was at Ovo Circ de Soliel tonight - great seats nice staff but omg the bars - why is there no seats in the majority of them? The 2 bars I saw with seats packed , 3 others no seats empty completely empty? Wonder why ?? Adults want to sit when going to a show & having a pre drink before or waiting for friends to join them . Empty souless horrible spaces with nowhere to sit down . I’m 61 years old I do not want to stand with my drink when waiting for friends . Only other option sitting on the bloody stairs like a teenager. For all gods sake Royal Albert furnish ALL your bars with some seats . Nasty experience for expensive tickets . You can do better . Awful

A wonderful experience

I took my family of 11 to celebrate my 77th birthday. We saw a performance of Ovo by Cirque du Soleil. I had purchased VIP tickets. My families ages went from 5 through the teens to myself in my seventies. We were Royally entertained in a beautiful lounge to cocktails, wine soft drinks for the youngsters. Excellent street food and ice creams in the interval. The performance was excellent as always. I had one of the best experiences of my life.

Ovo at the Royal Albert Hall

Review for the Royal Albert Hall – Cirque du Soleil: Ovo

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at the Royal Albert Hall while attending Ovo with my disabled son. The security team and all staff were truly outstanding. From the moment we arrived, everyone was friendly, considerate, and incredibly helpful.

The level of care and understanding shown to my son was superb and genuinely touching. Staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable, safe, and able to fully enjoy the performance. Nothing felt like too much trouble, and the whole evening felt relaxed, inclusive, and welcoming.

It was a beautiful experience for both of us, and I’m incredibly grateful to the team for making it so special. Thank you for such exceptional service.

poor event, no flexibility on tickets

I dont know about other events, but The Nutcracker was a poor and fade show. Much shorter than they say too: the show is 2 hours including one 25-min break. Also, they dont give you any possibility to rebook the show as royal opera does, so you are stuck with 2 tickets even if your plans changed. Twickets is a useless app.

Presenter not as good as previous years

My daughter and I have attended Christmas at The Royal Albert Hall for the past few years and have been thrilled with the whole performance
We went again yesterday (22 December) for the afternoon performance
The musicians and singers were, as usual, excellent
But this year the presenter was disappointing In previous years the presenters have added to the performances but this year the compare was very flat and lacked personality We are used to the presenters adding to the show but unfortunately this year the show was let down by the lack of enthusiasm from the person who was introducing the show

Very special place to see a concert

Got to see two shows recently and both were fantastic. Firstly, one of the important things, does it matter much where you sit! In my opinion, while some seating areas are obviously better than others you will always have a decent view. The stalls are like any other theatre where you simply have the choice of how close you want to be. There are then two levels of what they call the second tier boxes which we loved! These seems to have just 4 or 6 free standing seats so you can shift about a bit, loads of legroom and very private an exclusive feeling. You can also order drinks for the interval via an app (subject to a minimum order value) that are brought to your box. Above these are the ‘Rausing Circle’ which are the lower priced seats, quite high up, but still offer a really good view. There’s load of info’ if you do some searching online.
There’s other great thing at the Royal Albert Hall that many other venues cant give and that’s the amazing acoustics. Some seating areas are better than others (back to your online research) but wherever you are the sound travels around so much better than watching the same concert at your local town hall might!
There’s plenty of bars for pre and mid show drinks, a couple of good restaurants in the building (surprisingly few less than a cab/tube ride away). Staff are all really friendly and helpful, venue is clean, tidy and very much as you’d expect ‘something special’ to be.
If you have a chance to watch one of your favourites here I’d highly recommend it as worth paying that bit more for.

Great concert shame about some of the staff.

The RAH is an incredible venue as most people know. Two of us attended a performance of Holst's 'Planets' in September 2025, our first visit since 2017. The concert itself was fantasic, great acoustics and incredible views from the Rausing Circle. We can sadly only award 2 stars for our visit though, which was marred by severe overcrowding in the coridoors/bars and long queues for the toilets. These were as nothing though compared to the incredibly rude staff at the security/bag check desk. We were made to feel like criminals and the members of staff were contradicting each other. Spoiled our night really. Won't be back.

Lovely afternoon tea!

We had afternoon tea there and it was wonderful, very good quality sandwiches and a nice variety of cakes. The lovely scones came with jam and a good quality clotted cream. The staff were friendly and very attentive and they also cater very well for Celiacs. A nice touch is that you can take things away in a beautiful box if you need to. I'd certainly recommend treating yourself , the price is actually very competitive and cheaper than some of the higher end establishments but on a par with quality and service. I'd definitely return.

They saved my night

I wanted to leave feedback for the wonderful box office staff. I arrived at the venue for a concert only to find I had lost my tickets in transit.

I was clearly in a panic and my anxiety was kicking in. The box office team member was wonderful, calming me from the outset. After carrying out some checks they got me to my seat with the minimum of fuss.

I couldn't thank them enough.

I waited in the virtual waiting room…

I waited in the virtual waiting room for about 40 minutes before getting to the front of the queue for tickets. Not a problem. Selected my tickets and added them to my basket ready for payment. Then I was asked to register or login… I didn’t remember that I’d ever registered before but I must have done;I just couldn’t remember my password.
1) I asked to rest my password.
2) I received an email with a link to reset my password.
3) I clicked on the link which took me back to the waiting room with 150 people ahead of me.
Repeat steps 1-3 indefinitely.
Inevitably, I lost my chosen tickets and was ultimately unable to make a purchase. Not a happy guest.
