I have been a patient with Rula for…

I have been a patient with Rula for nearly two years and have been prescribed Zoloft through their providers for approximately a year.

I recently ran out of my medication abruptly. I was previously assured by my provider that if this ever happened, I could simply reach out and request a refill. Despite following those exact instructions and contacting my provider numerous times, **I have now been without my medication for TWO WEEKS.**

I am experiencing alarming physical and psychological withdrawal symptoms from abruptly discontinuing a significant dose of a medication I have been taking consistently.

I have reached out to both my provider and Rula's support team repeatedly, only to be told to continue waiting or go to the hospital if I need immediate medical attention.

**This is genuinely some of the most unprofessional and concerning healthcare I have ever received.** I trusted this company with my mental health, followed my provider's instructions, and have now been left to deal with the consequences of an abrupt medication interruption without adequate support.

I do not currently have health insurance, and being told to seek emergency medical care rather than having my prescription concerns promptly addressed is beyond frustrating.

At this point, it feels as though Rula is more concerned with collecting payments than ensuring its patients receive consistent, responsible care.

I am incredibly disappointed, frustrated, and genuinely frightened by this experience. No patient should have to fight this hard for continuity of care with medication they have been prescribed for an extended period.

**I would strongly caution anyone considering Rula to take my experience into account.**

Unethical business practices

Booked therapy appointment for my daughter, she was not able to attend. Was charged $99 no show fee. When a client is booking an appointment. You need to clearly state the penalties for the appointment’s when they’re booking that way there won’t be any misunderstanding or surprises. I had to research the reason I was charged the fee. Unethical and not good business practices.

Rula terminated my care on adding secondary insurance because it was Medi-Cal with no communication or assistance or continuity of care

I went to 2 appointments through Rula. Rula encouraged me to add my IEHP secondary insurance and agreed it was a good idea. They proceeded to run the insurance, inform me that after they have identified someone has Medi-Cal they will completely terminate their care without any assistance finding alternative care, and that I was entirely on my own and good luck.

When reaching out for assistance I was told "my appointments weren't cancelled yet" and to pretend all was normal until they were.

Rula is easy to use

Rula is easy to use. It is efficient and allows one to set up an account and create a portal, where they can then take a mental health assessment and immediately see those results. In addition, one can book, reschedule and cancel appointments with their provider.

Rula made it easy to get therapy!

Taking the first step is always hard but Rula made it easy. You tell Rula what kind of provider you are looking for and what approach you are looking for (CBT, humanistic, Christian...etc). Being able to choose and knowing more about the therapist was a relief and took the anxiety out of finding someone you will like. Tracking appointments is easy, you receive emails and text messages if you want. Payment method is saved so you can set up auto pay which makes it easier than remembering to pay your bill. I am happy with the experience and I have already recommended it to a friend.

Rula straight up sabotages my…

Rula straight up sabotages my medication treatment by not following my medical records to my provider, and their support cannot help me. Without this resolved, I cannot continue my treatment. My provider also isn't offering a way to exchange the documentation through separate channels. As a result, I wasted money and weeks of time to establish a connection with the provider via Rula that I now need to throw away only because Rula decided to troll me and lock me out of treatment.

Highly recommend

I found the provider I chose to be very professional and kind. I used the Rula site for days reviewing the different clinicians to try and find a good fit for myself. The site is easy to navigate and I am very pleased with the therapist I chose.

Michelle has a heart of gold

Michelle has a heart of gold. She is very sympathetic about what is going on with my husband's mental issues. She is experienced and has provided many different ways to manage and de-escalate his anxiety episodes. I really enjoy learning ways to help him. Thank you for allowing me to learn more with every session.
