Avoid Like the Plague – Inaccurate Sizing & Nonexistent Customer Service

I ordered a size Large based on Salt Murphy’s own sizing chart, which states it fits a 40-inch chest. What arrived was a 38-inch garment — completely inaccurate and not as described. This is a breach of Australian Consumer Law, which clearly states that goods purchased online must match their advertised description.

What made it worse was the complete lack of customer service. Multiple attempts to contact the brand went unanswered. Once they have your money, it’s clear they have no interest in resolving issues or supporting their customers.

In stark contrast, brands like ORTTU offer excellent customer service — prompt replies, proactive support, and a clear commitment to customer satisfaction. That’s the kind of service you expect from a professional fashion label.

Salt Murphy, on the other hand, shows no long-term thinking or regard for building customer loyalty. A shame, really — but I’ll be spending my money with brands who actually care.

Warning: avoid this brand like the plague.

Genuinely one of the only menswear brands that is creating unique pieces at a great price point. Love that they started from Melbourne so we're supporting an Aussie brand go global.

I’ve been shopping with Salt Murphy for over 2 years now. In addition to great styles and great quality, their customer service is exemplary! Whether I’ve needed to do an exchange or just had a question, the response time is quick and I’m always happy with the results. Love this brand and will be a loyal customer forever!

I have been buying from Salt Murphy going on 3 months now and my experience has been wonderful. At first I was a little concern due to my 1st order being canceled automatically due to a fraud detector they have. After reaching out to their customer service via email, they responded back within 1 day and reinstated my order. Once the items were received…BABBYYYY LEMME TELL YOU, I was blown away🤩🤩🤩. The material is of the highest of quality. The items looked IDENTICAL to the photos and I have been obsessed with them since🤤. I get an amazing amount of compliments every-time I wear Salt Murphy. I wish I was able to post some pictures to really give them the justice they deserve especially for what the items looks like on the average person. I have already started buying their buying up their spring collection too🤭🤭🤭…

I decided to send an email, and suffice it to say that a remarkable outcome ensued. I am thoroughly delighted with this blazer.

I purchased one of the items from the website (Gail top in black) and it turned out pretty great! To be honest I wasn’t expecting the material to be that soft so the price definitely worth it and the delivery was quick.

Ordered over USD600 worth of items in November, still hasn't received the orders. Only getting sporadic emails from their customer service team that "they are checking"

I placed an order from this company over a week ago and the item has yet to ship. There was no delay in withdrawing funds from my bank account, of course. When I contacted customer service to get an update, the agent apologized and said the order would be passed on to the fulfillment team and I would receive an update. No update has come and the item continues to be available on the website, which makes me think the item has been oversold and now the company is deferring fulfillment on an item they simply don’t have. When I reached out again for an update, my request was ignored. Horrible experience—salt murphy has taken my money and done nothing.

One of my items arrived stained, two months ago I had to PAY to send it back and I’m still waiting for them to refund me. I don’t think i’ll ever see the refund.

Horrible customer service , bad with delivering .

Horrible customer service from the beginning. My order went through twice in a website error and I immediately reached out asking to cancel one since I obviously did not need two of the exact same thing. They took days to respond and said it was "too late" to cancel. So I was charged twice, and then when I tried to return the items, they would not help cover shipping costs even though it was ordered in an error on their end. So I ended up losing half the cost of the items to shipping. Horrible horrible
