Very Disappointing Treatment on SK752 – SAS Plus

As a long-standing EuroBonus Gold member, I was very disappointed with the treatment I received today on flight SK752 from Warsaw to Copenhagen.

Despite flying SAS Plus — which includes the right to two checked bags — I travelled with only one piece of hand luggage. Nevertheless, my bag was forcibly taken from me inside the cabin, even after I clearly explained that it contained essential medication, personal documents including my passport, a power bank, and a laptop.

As a person with a disability, I rely on having my belongings close by in case I need urgent access to medication or assistance. My request was ignored, and I felt both dismissed and disrespected by the cabin crew.

I have never experienced such treatment on any airline, including SAS until now. I expect better — especially in SAS Plus.

A rip off

A rip off. Charges obscene fees for changing your reservations. Pure price gauging. Stay away. There are plenty of other company who will treat you better.

Such a bloody experience never again

it use to be that potugease SABENA stood for “such a bloody experience never again”. as a joke “SAS” stood for “same as SABENA”. the joke was that SAS stood for quality and service granted at a higher peice. Now SAS just stands for a higher price. service and quality has gone out the window. it is too bad that SAS still thinks of themselves as a top airline but clearly has been reduced to a budget one. that makes the experience worse every time as your are paying through the roof for tickets. the identity has gone.
the flight was delayed 4,5 hours on a technicaæ error. that happens!!!
but what you can expect when this happens and you are stranded inside the plane ofr that long is that service and quality kicks into overdrive. instead i had to ask for something to drink after 3,5 hours where the crew had been handing out beverages to first and plus class. i realise sitting in monkey class you are not getting the same treatment under normal circumstances but when delayed and it is even your fault as the plane had technical issues you should just go through the plane and ask “what do you want”. upon asking the steward even had the nerve to say “did you not get a water upon departure in your front seat” 😱😱😱
on top of that the aircon on the flight was turned to “ice cube” so you literally had to sit for 10,5 hours in freeze mode.
all in all a SABENA experience and the only reason i fly with SAS is that you eg can provide a direct route to San Fran

Customer service....?! 🤔

Why is it not possible to change a meal on a flight two weeks before departure, without have to pay upfront and claim for a refund afterwards....?! 🤔 I was on the phone wit,h what is supposed to be, customer service in 40 minutes with above result! Totally bad service. Or actually no service. I always have believed that SAS was a good and service minded company but I was wrong..... It's all about money....!?

Terrible Customer Treatment

Incredible. Ordered two tickets for my brother and I (we have very similar names). So i accidentally typed my name twice. Called them immediately and they said i must pay 65€ to change. SAS used to be reliable in treating customers, this I believe is worse than Ryanair now.

1 Star – Overcharged for Hotel Booking – No Support from SAS or Hotels.com

We booked a hotel through the SAS website for an upcoming trip to Norway in January, but were overcharged and never received any booking confirmation.

Since 6 July, we have made countless attempts to resolve this. SAS seems to pass all hotel-related issues to Hotels.com, yet neither company will take responsibility. We’ve been stuck going back and forth with no solution in sight.

We’ve tried calling, emailing, and using chat rooms — all useless. Chat support is completely unhelpful, phone lines lead nowhere, and we’ve even had calls cut off or ignored. The email replies are automated and in Swedish, offering no assistance at all.

It’s now mid-July and we’re still waiting for a refund, explanation, or even a proper confirmation. This is not acceptable customer service from either SAS or Hotels.com.

Extremely disappointed. We expected more from a company like SAS. Be warned — if you book a hotel through their site, you could be left stranded with no support and no accountability.

Disaster support which should be better

We had a travel planned which was direct. This ended up cancelled and everything from there, was a massive disaster, from bad customer support in the airport, to worse travel set up, and lost luggage. It was a travel, that is is hard to forget and i am still unhappy with everything as it was a nightmare.

Very bad information about check in

SAS is the first airline i have traveled with in many many years, where you cant check in online, neither on their app or in a browser. All other airlines for example KLM, Norwegian, Ryanair and all other offer this today as an easy and secure way to handle this and sends you a QR code back. It is totally incomprehensible why SAS cant offer this to its customers today. And more critical SAS write online you can check in 30 og 21 hours before departure, but when you try you get imcomprehensible messages back.

Awful Experience with SAS

I had a truly disappointing experience with SAS. I booked a flight with a layover, but due to a delay in the first leg of the journey, I missed my connecting flight. While still onboard, the crew acknowledged this issue and told us to visit the info center upon arrival to receive assistance with hotel accommodation and transport.

We landed around 11 PM, and that’s where the chaos started. The info center was closed. No SAS representatives were available, and we were told no one would be coming to help. It was incredibly frustrating – after being rebooked on a flight 9 hours later (which I was fine with initially), I was left to figure everything out on my own.

I tried to find a hotel nearby but everything was fully booked. No sleep, no support, and zero accountability from SAS. It’s unacceptable to leave passengers stranded without the assistance they were promised. This level of service is absolutely not what you expect from a major airline.

Would strongly reconsider flying with SAS again.

Ryanair quality at SAS prices

I was unlucky enough to travel with SAS recently because there were simply no other options on the time & date I needed.

It started with the fact that they introduced ridiculous rules for Go Light fare, where you can only bring one small bag and a proper hand luggage (that any other respectable company allows) costs 15 EUR one way.

I had an early morning flight meaning that the plane was in the airport the night before and I was shocked that once I got to my seat, the seat pocket was full of trash that was from 3 DAYS (!!!) before, as there was a boarding ticket dated 3 days back, not speaking of some foil and a smoothie pouch left. It signifies that SAS doesn't even bother to clean their planes properly, while charging you extra for any feature you can find free in other companies.

Before and after the flight, the staff neglected to do a proper seat position check, as I had a guy sleeping in front with his seat reclined. While I didn't care, it means that company violated the safety measures TWICE.

It's sad to see once a good company turning into trash, trying to rip off their customers while doing nothing to correspond to their price levels. Would stay away from it and also recommend not to sponsor their "couldn't care less "customer treatment.

2 stars only because the plane didn't crash, so it appears that they at least take care of the technical state of their fleet.

SAS does not live up to SkyTeam standards

1. I am a Platinum SkyTeam member.

2. SAS is a Skyteam Alliance.

3. I opted to buy SAS ticket Gothenburg-Zurich-Gothenburg so I could enjoy my perks.

BUT, SAS has no Agreement with SkyTeam with regards to using the SkyTeam Business Lounge!
Therefore, I was not allowed entry to the SkyTeam Lounge in Zurich!

4. I purchased my ticket from SAS website. My return flight was advertised about 400 CHF for Flexible ticket, but when I click "PAY", the site auto redirected me to a site called Flightnetwork, and
deducted my card with 652.00 CHF!
This was only realized after I made my payment!

5. I needed to change my return flight, I called up SAS Zurich and SAS Sweden, both said I needed to contact the Agent where
I bought my tickets from!

I said I bought it from SAS website!

6. I realized, that SAS could be earning extra money from the passenger by acting as the Vendor, and Agent at the same time!

7. I had to pay 123.00 CHF to change my Flexible ticket!

8. At Zurich Airport, the Aspire Lounge which is the SkyTeam Lounge, denies my entry to the Lounge because SKYTEAM has NO Agreement with SAS to use the SkyTeam Lounge!

9. SKYTEAM should remove SAS from its alliance partnership because SAS does NOT exhibit the standards of a SkyTeam alliance!
