I really wish I’d read the rest of the reviews before ordering the 2 samples. Completely fake!!! Absolute rip off, trading standards really need to take a look at this company. I regret my order completely.

Like others have mentioned, I should have read paid more attention to the reviews.
I bought serveral samples from them, including some of very expensive fragrances.
To my surprise, when I purchased the full-sized bottles, the scents were not identical.
As others have suggested, they likely use clones or in-house versions. Because of this, samples might smell similar to the originals, but not always.
In some cases, I kept on getting repetitive, simplistic compositions (sweet scents found in cleaning products, cheap attar scents, simplistic sweetened dry wood) even for expensive fragrances.
Don’t be fooled by their large library, as I was. Instead, get samples directly from the brand’s official website if available, or a more trustworthy source.

My Neroli Portofino Eau de Parfum arrived after 2 days, 10 ml. Communication was good. It smells great and seems to last. I haven't got the original to compare it too,but smells nice..

Ordered 4 Tom Ford samples and they smelled awful. Don’t order from this website as they are not legit perfumes. At least when you buy a dupe they’re wearable but the samples I received are in the bin.

A very poor copy of a very good fragrance - this is a complete rip-off. There wasn't even any packaging

Ordered a bunch of samples so I could have a variety and hopefully choose my favourite to buy a full bottle of as frangrances can be pricey so I wanted to be sure. Delivery was quick, they all smelt amazing. I have been enjoying picking which to wear each morning.

I ordered 7 samples of very expensive perfume samples. I have been trying them, and they are not the originals they smelt not right and not of expensive branded perfumes. My advise to anyone, do not buy from scentsamples uk you will be wasting your money. Go to a department store and try original.

Ordered 5 samples - they dont smell right. Dilluted or clones. Cost 15 pounds or so, cba to try and get the money back.

I ordered a 5ml sample of Orto Parisi Megamare and what I got is definitely not that.
I have had this fragrance in the past and own a 1ml sample and side by side this one is completely wrong. It is either a duplicate or an extremely watered down version.
I have emailed asking for a reply but nothing.
Avoid at all costs. I just wish I had seen all the reviews before I wasted my money

Ordered a load of samples and every single one smelt off or had no smell. Samples looked oily/dirty too. Definitely not happy with this. Have ordered many decants from other retailers and they were excellent. There is a reason scent samples are cheap.. they are either diluted or contaminated or fake.

Wish I had seen the negative reviews before I placed my order. I ordered a 5ml Parfum de marly Haltane after smelling a friends sample at work..compared the two and I’m convinced mine has either been watered down or is a clone fragrance. Didn’t smell the same or as strong..something with if wasn’t quite right l..Waste of £16 but at least it was only that much..won’t ever use this site again. I’ve just ordered the same size sample from fragrance samples uk, which is where my friend bought his..which I feel will be the real thing. I am not involved with either of these websites, i just don’t think it’s right that they rip people off..I didn’t bother trying to contact customer service as all the other reviews say they get ignored anyway. Lesson learned

Every sample I purchased is clearly diluted with an oil. The reason they are cheaper than other sites is because the product is compromised. Really disappointing that I didn’t use my usual site for samples. Waste of £40… the samples I got will be going straight in the bin as the smell has a real off putting fishy scent. You get a harsh opening of chemicals with no dry down which leaves a shiny finish to your skin.

Never received my items. Customer service is of no help and unable to provide any solutions. Avoid

On Christmas Day 2024, I placed an order for 50ml of Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille.

A few minutes later, I found their Trustpilot reviews and decided to cancel my order. I figured that since it was Christmas Day, it would be fine, as the order wouldn’t be processed for a few days due to the bank holidays.

So, I emailed them to cancel the order. For good measure, I also submitted a web form on their site to request the cancellation.

A few days after Christmas, I hadn’t heard anything back, so I emailed again. Still no response. I submitted another web form instructing them not to ship the order, but again, no response.

A day or so later, I called the number on their website, only to find that it was disconnected.

I decided to wait another day to see if they would get back to me. They did not.

To my surprise, my order status on their website then changed to "Shipped." I immediately emailed and submitted yet another web form asking them to halt the shipment. They did not respond.

At this point, I thought, Okay, they have a returns policy outlined on their site—I'll just follow that. However... they ask that you only return items after speaking to them first.

Fast forward a couple of days, and the fragrance arrived. This is where my more serious doubts kicked in.

I own the original fragrance, which I purchased directly from Tom Ford. The fragrance that Scent Samples provided is categorically not the same. It is similar but definitely different—there is a noticeable discrepancy. Not only that, but the colour of the parfum from Scent Samples is also much, much darker than the original (genuine) article.

This leads me to two possible conclusions: either they are selling copies of the real thing, or they are mixing/diluting the original with another liquid or oil.

Scent Samples continued to ignore my efforts to make contact and return the goods, so in the end, I had to resort to opening a dispute with my bank to get my money back. I returned the order to the address listed on Scent Samples' website (which, interestingly enough, is a vape shop in Ilford...). Royal Mail's tracking showed that the package was delivered, yet to this day, I have still received no response from them.

A few days ago, I finally got my money back via the bank.

Scent Samples is listed on Companies House under the address on their website as Dissolved.

Interestingly, another company called "Scent Samples Ltd"— run by Patrick Cantwell (who was also associated with the now-dissolved "Scent Samples Fragrances Ltd") has since opened at another address in Cornwall. Make of that what you will...

On the surface, Scent Samples presents itself online in a relatively above-board manner. However, once you scratch beneath the surface, it becomes clear that they operate with some very dodgy business practices.

AVOID at all costs.

This is my second order in the last two months.
I am delighted with the products and have recommended this company to my friends.

Ordered 4 decants of perfumes I was already familiar with/had previously sampled.
They arrived complete and packaging seemed fine. However the scent is off, and there are clear issues with the quality of the perfumes in the bottles for all four decants. Some of the 'lighter' perfumes smell almost bitter or rancid, and markedly different from the previous samples I have to hand. The others are so faint that I would agree with other customers that they have been diluted and do not reflect the genuine product.
Website appears down so I cannot even message to complain. Avoid this business.

Stay away from this company.They ship products in faulty bottles, and their customer service is non existent-they ignore your messages. Also, phone number listed on their website is out of service. Don't waste your money; go to a reputable company instead, because this one is not trustworthy!!

You know something, I have repeatedly dealt with this Company since around 2017.. Other thank as a customer I have no other connections with Scent Samples.. I know my high end aftershaves, and not once ever, have I received a suspect batch.. Every order has been promptly dispatched and well packaged. 10 out of 10 every time, which leads me to think some of these awful reviews may not be genuine...

Scam alert!!!! This is the same company as The Scent Sampler and these are fake perfumes. Once you buy and try to return, he refuses the package and ignores your emails so you don’t get a refund. The company is a scam and has been reported to trading standards. If you have been a victim of fraud please report him. He’s a criminal.
