Written by the company

It was 1981, Margaret Thatcher has been in power for two excruciatingly long years already, Charles and Diana have just announced their engagement, Bucks Fizz have won the Eurovision Song contest and Scribbler has just been born! But unlike Thatcher’s reign, Charles and Diana’s marriage and the UK’s run in Eurovision, Scribbler thrived into what can only be described as a ‘well good shop’ (thanks @cheeselover92) and now has stores across the country and a brand spanking new website. Whether you’re looking for something outrageously rude (The Daily Mail hate us!), ridiculously funny, or sickeningly sweet, we've got you covered. We work with the quirkiest, most outlandish and anarchic range of designers to bring the best and …ahem, boldest products to you. Get ready to get it wrong... Scribbler level wrong.

Scribbler shop in Bath is fabulous

Scribbler shop in Bath is fabulous, always has exactly the card I want, from a range that just isn't available anywhere else. This is definitely the place to go, when you want something hilarious and original. As well as great cards and other stuff, Scribbler in Bath also has wonderful staff, friendly and helpful.

Painful website

I bloody love your cards but your website is sooo annoying, I just spent over 30 mins ordering 12 cards, not only is it slow and you need to keep resetting search parameters after adding each card to basket but after editing all the delivery info I then had to do it all again...arrggghhh! You've got to really want those cards.

Fantastic very fast delivery

I found there shop in Glasgow in Christmas 2019 and I have never laughed so much, I don’t understand some of the negative reviews on here regarding there shops as when I was in there it was mainly adults browsing, there online shop is fantastic, This is the second time that I have ordered cards and have got them delivered to the recipients and my address within 2 day’s, I would definitely recommend you give scribbler a try

mixed feelings

i ordered a present and a card for my brother a week ago. the card was despatched first followed by the present the following day. the present arrived quickly and i was very impressed with the turnaround and it was packaged great but the card has never turned up.. for some reason they despatch multiple items you’ve ordered separately which i don’t completely understand. but ended up having to buy a new birthday card which wasn’t personalised as this one didn’t arrive. i understand that this may be the mail providers fault and not the store but just keep in mind that things may arrive at different times/days because of the way that they despatch.

Poor quality when delivered

Love the variety of the cards that are actually decent and not the usual rubbish and fluff you get in Clintons. I'm a fan of good humour in a card. Arrived quite quickly.
However, the envelope was too thin, so the impact of the card wouldn't be the same if the receiver can see the joke before opening the envelope... So I had to cut some pieces of card to slot in either side to make it more opaque. The card itself was of poor quality. There were creases coming from the middle fold where it wasn't scored or folded properly and the text on the front wasn't crisp and looked blurry. I've contacted customer services and am awaiting a response.

Never disappointed

I've been buying cards and other products from Scribbler for a couple of years now and their products usually always hit the mark. They have a wide variety and the quality of the card is excellent.
I've bought stuff online and in-store, and I have only ever had one card go missing in the post (but that's a Royal Mail issue...). Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a cheeky or funny card!

DISAPPOINTED!

Bought a fathers day card and a grandad card for my son to send this fathers day. Supposed to be next day delivery! After paying and receiving confirmation I receive another email two days later to say expect the cards up to TEN DAYS! Up TO 29TH
After not seeing my dad for Three months because we are both shielded separately, I dont think its too much to ask to be honest on your site and say if a card is going to make it for Fathers day.
Thank you for making my dad feel extra alone on fathers day. Disappointed is not the word!!!

Disappointing quality

Cards arrived quickly which was good, however the cards are really poor quality. In store you would get a beautifully designed printed glossy card and perfectly matching envelope. What I received in the post looked like it had been printed off a home computer. It’s a shame as the quality is normally high, understand that lock down has affected production, but needs to be advised on the website. Disappointed.

Update - Although card quality was not as expected, great customer service as Scribbler processed a refund for the cards.

Impeccable service

So from my experience, I just want to say wow! What incredible customer service you have. After an issue of not receiving a dispatch notice resulting in the present being opened early, Jason acknowledged the issue and handled it in the best service I have received in a long time. I am incredibly happy with this company that I've used multiple times since discovering you early in the year and I will be sure to continue using you and be sure that anyone who ever mentions needing to buy a card or present, that Scribbler will be mentioned. Thank you so much.

I ordered a card for my dad last week…

I ordered a card for my dad last week to cheer him up in isolation. It arrived sooner than expected and he found it very funny! I made an error on the delivery address and needed to change, customer service was great. Thankyou.

Brilliant!

I normally get my stuff in store from them, but as we’re in lockdown I thought I’d try their online shop. I have a lot of birthdays over the next couple of months so I ordered 6 birthday cards, a new baby card (for a friend who’s due any day) an anniversary card for my Husband and an exploding kittens game for the kids. Everything arrived on time and in perfect condition.
I wouldn’t hesitate to order again, fantastic service all round!! Thank you Scribbler 👍
